The reunion will never happen for a very simple reason. None of the problems or issues that destroyed GnR have been solved. They're still there. At least from Slash's point of view. You know, Axl wanting to have all the creative control in the band, wanting his bandmates to be mere hired hands and going on stage too fucking late. That is still what happens in GnR today. So a reunion would not last 24 hours.

It's like you break up with someone you love cause u cant stand her. Years go by and you get back together cause you miss each other like crazy. Result? You break up again cause none of your issues were solved. they were there waiting for u to go back.

For a reunion to work, they'd need to talk things through. Axl would need to show up on time and rehearse, consider the rest of the band as bandmembers and not hired hands who do as he pleases, there would need to be no drama for Izzy to come back, for instance and Duff and Slash would need to stay sober for the rest of their lives.

I dont know if that would ever happen.

So a reunion is impossible. Besides, Axl is too happy with this current GnR lineup, cause nobody questions him, theyre there to do what he wants. and if you question him or want him to put out more music, youre out of the band.

Period. IMO.

And the rest of the guys are doing whatever they want to be doing. No drama, no fights, no nothing. Who would wanna give that up? And money cant be the reason they get back together. They all have money and fame.

Yeah, they released one 4 years ago... but I can't forget that it took Axl over a decade to finish it.

Even though I don't like the new band, I do want Axl to release a new album. Call it CD2 or whatever. But please, do release an album before I turn 60. Now, my point is, I know we're always talking about the original lineup reunion and about Buckethead and DJ Ashba... but there are only so many times you can talk about that.

A band needs to release new material or an occasional video every once in a while. If not, your fanbase may start to lose interest. And it's not like Axl is 20 anymore. He'll be 55 in 5 years.

We need a new album. Why won't he release those CD leftovers already?

Jesus, just because someone is willing to acknowledge things aren't quite working out how we'd all like them to doesn't make them a cupcake. Most complaints come down to the fact that a new release of any sort doesn't seem imminent. People just want new music, that makes them cupcakes?

I was thinking today that new GnR fans are among the most patient people in the planet. Like I said before, I gave up on this band after only Axl was left from the original lineup, but I still like Chinese Democracy enough for me to come here.

But, you know, it's not so far fetched to think that there won't be another album, ever. I don't care who said what or who told whom what or who said what in what interview. I'll believe it when I see it.

But... will you guys keep faithfully posting here 4 or 5 years from now to defend this lineup and Axl and to cling to one last glimmer of hope that someday there'll be another album?

Finck and Bucket blew their chance. They also set the band back and are part of the struggles Axl Rose had to face.

I was watching my Welcome to the Videos DVD last night and after gems like SCOM or November Rain and Patience, I just couldn't help but think that the Since I don't have you video is probably the worst GnR ever made. It's not even cheesy, it's just so booooring, IMO. ... (and the song's pretty lame to, but that'd be a different topic)

Any thoughts?

The 3, 4 hours delay thing is bullshit, lie. If you consider the scheduled time, OK, but there are the opening acts, the crew setting up the stage, etc. He was late here in Rio - Bach left the stage at 11 p.m. and Axl got on stage at 1 a.m., so we had to wait two hours and that was abusive enough. That being said I KNEW they'd take at least 45 minutes to set up the stage properly. I noticed that after 30 minutes only a few crew members were there, most had left already, but after around 45 minutes noone was there. And then we were waiting for Axl, only for Axl. A few "Slash" and even "Bon Jovi" chants (OK, only one guy did scream Bon Jovi and we all laughed at him, lol!) but once The General (Concert opener) was played everyone went nuts.

Yeah, it's bullshit. I imagined the whole thing and so did everyone else on the venue that night.

I had pancakes this morning for breakfast. They were EPIC. And my brother made me some coffee. Man, it was EPIC. Unfortunately, I felt sick around noon and spent most of the afternoon in the bathroom. I tell ya, what came out of my ass was EPIC.

The UYI albums have never been forgotten, neither by us fans nor by the general public. Now Lies is a different story. I don't know why. But you know, a lot of people out there have heard Patience many times over the years. Maybe they don't know it's a GnR song, but they know there's a song called Patience sung by a band whose name they can't remember.
