Yeah okay!

Read something like this in a review today
A satirism on country... or whatever
-
The Dissident is a country song?
-
Can't wait to see them in November!
Even if the album won't be that good, Slash is always delivering a killer show
-
Well, I think his riffs... or his songs are still really good, but Myles doesn't do the best of it.
When I first heard the beginning of the 3rd webisode I was just "whaah, what the fuck?!"...
But when I listen to World On Fire now - I don't know. There is something on Myles, maybe his lyrics or his melodys or whatever, that lacks quality. It isn't Slash's work at all that is that bad, he does a great job most of the time.
I was not very impressed by Scott when they did VR and still I want them to find another singer, but I don't want it to be Myles.
I think thats the main reason why many of Slash's songs aren't that good like they deserve to be.
When I hear the instrumentals of the songs they are most of the time better than with vocals.
-
The solo of Halo is a real Slash classic in my opinion and of course there is the outro of Far And Away which is fantastic as well
-
-
agreedwell, TBH i'm not a big fan of "World On Fire" artwork so I guess the Best Buy one is a little bit better but still not amazing
i think the original is the worst album artwork in this decade, this one is decent but still lame
Not that worst like the s/t album artwork
-
I also love his version of Vocalise of the Tribute to Les Paul album.
And of course The Godfather Theme
-
Don't really care much for the demos cause I don't think they were written to be instrumentals. Just songs that ain't got lyrics for some reason.
Watch This is my favorite although I love Jizz Da Pit and Obsession Confession aswell

OMG, are you fanboys still hoping for a reunion?
Not. Gonna. Happen.
There's a difference in hoping something or to think it will happen.
-
Everywhere presented this guy!
-
hopefully it comes the day it's released
I think it will
-
Would it love to see some snakepit songs instead of You're a Lie and Standing in the sun. The rest of the setlist is incredibly good!
-
It just doesn't hold a candle to all the albums they did with Ozzy the first time around.I also really likes 13
Even if it was Sabbath by the numbers, who cares? They were good sounding, classic Sabbath tunes
Since the first serious reunion in 97, they always said they didn't want to tarnish the legacy by putting out an album that didn't stack up to the 70's catalogue...and 13 doesn't stack up.
Sabbath (with Ozzy) are a bit different because they didn't stay together and make mediocre albums ( like Zeppelin) - for me the upsetting factor isn't that 13 isn't amazing it is that they went back on their word and just did an album for the sake of it.
Guns ( with Slash) would sort of be in the same boat, TSI? aside they didn't make a shitty album and to come back with one just cause they can would tarnish the legacy.
Now imagine Slash's riffs and solos along to Axl's vocals. I think they still could do it with the help of Izzy of course
-
To me it's one of the best albums in the last 10 years easilySabbath's album was a stinker though, sure it sold well but it's a very disappointing album.
As a Sabbath fan I wish they hadn't made it...the official line had always been that they wouldn't do an album if it was just for the sake of it and that's exactly what they ended up doing, Bill not being involved just made it worse.
I love most of the tunes and they are very Black Sabbath-ish
Tonys guitarsound and playing is phenomenal
-
"2006-2014," could mean THROUGH 2014 so we might've not seen his last shows if the rumors are true about the few dates at the end of the year.
I think we have to wait til next year to see if he'll change it to 2015.
-
Bucket and Bumble.
IMO Bucket was way more important than Robin. Robin made a good job on Better and TIL but when I think of his interpretations of the classic solos I'm thankfully that he is gone. Just horrible.
Bumble does a good job replacing Bucket by handle his solos. Thats not easy I guess
-
Would be interesting to know if ticket prices changed.
Hopefully Joe Kramer gets well soon!
-
Should stay in the bigger b
venue
-
I mean that fellow guitarists, music critics and progressive/virtuoso music fans knew him (and Bucket for that matter) before Guns.
Yeah, but there's a difference to people being aware that he's releasing CD's and people actually buying the CD's as well.
No one buys CD's anymore, anyway.
not true

I know it's not the right topic but it's still amazing
(I'm sorry, couldn't find the Kings of Chaos thread. Maybe a mod can remove this)

The difference being that Metallica had that magical four album run too. Five really, considering Black gets more respect out of hardcore fan circles, obviously. We are not the only fanbase in this predicament:

The two great 1980s bands have turned into lazy fucks.
Well, for me that are four magical albums:
AFD, Lies, UYI I+II

Standing in the sun is one of his worsest songs, ever. Boring as shit
