  1. Well, I think his riffs... or his songs are still really good, but Myles doesn't do the best of it.

When I first heard the beginning of the 3rd webisode I was just "whaah, what the fuck?!"...

But when I listen to World On Fire now - I don't know. There is something on Myles, maybe his lyrics or his melodys or whatever, that lacks quality. It isn't Slash's work at all that is that bad, he does a great job most of the time.

I was not very impressed by Scott when they did VR and still I want them to find another singer, but I don't want it to be Myles.

I think thats the main reason why many of Slash's songs aren't that good like they deserve to be.

When I hear the instrumentals of the songs they are most of the time better than with vocals.

  2. I also really likes 13 :shrugs:

Even if it was Sabbath by the numbers, who cares? They were good sounding, classic Sabbath tunes

It just doesn't hold a candle to all the albums they did with Ozzy the first time around.

Since the first serious reunion in 97, they always said they didn't want to tarnish the legacy by putting out an album that didn't stack up to the 70's catalogue...and 13 doesn't stack up.

Sabbath (with Ozzy) are a bit different because they didn't stay together and make mediocre albums ( like Zeppelin) - for me the upsetting factor isn't that 13 isn't amazing it is that they went back on their word and just did an album for the sake of it.

Guns ( with Slash) would sort of be in the same boat, TSI? aside they didn't make a shitty album and to come back with one just cause they can would tarnish the legacy.

Now imagine Slash's riffs and solos along to Axl's vocals. I think they still could do it with the help of Izzy of course :)

  3. Sabbath's album was a stinker though, sure it sold well but it's a very disappointing album.

As a Sabbath fan I wish they hadn't made it...the official line had always been that they wouldn't do an album if it was just for the sake of it and that's exactly what they ended up doing, Bill not being involved just made it worse.

To me it's one of the best albums in the last 10 years easily

I love most of the tunes and they are very Black Sabbath-ish

Tonys guitarsound and playing is phenomenal
