Embarassing lyrics. But after all, sounds great, and again, after all, it is a new song, even if it was played at the 80s or was a leaked demo. If they release Silkworms tomorrow, I would say it's a new song too.

But the important thing of Shadow of Your love, is that, this is the first song released in 10 years. I still do think this is a test, they want to know if this song works as a single, to test if the world would buy new music or not. I'm very happy, this is the first step for REAL new music.

Yeah, this is what I think too. Hope the song does great!

  2. 49 unreleased tracks... well to get to that number you got to count the BluRay that just includes duplicates. Nice marketing.

The only true unrelesased tracks are these:

    1. Welcome To The Jungle (1986 Sound City Session)
    2. Nightrain (1986 Sound City Session)
    3. Out Ta Get Me (1986 Sound City Session)
    4. Paradise City (1986 Sound City Session)
    5. My Michelle (1986 Sound City Session)
    6. Think About You (1986 Sound City Session)
    7. You’re Crazy (1986 Sound City Session)
    8. Anything Goes (1986 Sound City Session)
    9. Rocket Queen (1986 Sound City Session)
    10. Shadow Of Your Love (1986 Sound City Session)
    11. Heartbreak Hotel (1986 Sound City Session)
    12. Jumpin’ Jack Flash (1986 Sound City Session)
    1. Shadow Of Your Love
    2. Move To The City (1986 Sound City Session)
    3. Ain’t Goin’ Down No More (Instrumental Version – 1986 Sound City Session)
    4. The Plague (1986 Sound City Session)
    5. Nice Boys (1986 Sound City Session)
    6. Back Off Bitch (1986 Sound City Session)
    7. Reckless Life (1986 Sound City Session)
    8. Mama Kin (1986 Sound City Session)
    9. New Work Tune (1986 Sound City Session)
    10. November Rain (Piano Version – 1986 Sound City Session))
    11. Move To The City (Acoustic Version – 1986 Sound City Session)
    12. You’re Crazy (Acoustic Version – 1986 Sound City Session)
    13. November Rain (Acoustic Version – 1986 Sound City Session)
    14. Jumpin’ Jack Flash (Acoustic Version – 1986 Sound City Session)
    15. Move To The City (1988 Acoustic Version)

So that's 27 truly unreleased tracks. And if you want to count tracks that weren't demos of songs to be included in future albums:

    The Plague

    New Work Tune

    Jumpin' Jack Flash (acoustic)

    Jumpin' Jack Flash (electric)

    Shadow of your Love

Shadow of your Love (1986 Sound City Session)

    Heartbreak Hotel.

Ain't Goin' Down No More (instrumental)

So... 8 "rare tracks", 2 being unheard before.

That's not bad if you are trully interested on AFD demos and some UYI ones, but I really prefer to hear the final versions. So no purchase for me this time.

I really like that single version of Shadow of Your Love though

that would be utterly disgusting and pathetic for everyone involved

i dont believe axl, slash, duff, ricky and franky would go that low

that would be like 18 times worse than live era

and like 180 times worse than axl singing coma in rock in rio 2017

I get that it would be bad Frank replacing Steven's parts and the same goes to Fortus.

But what if let's say that Axl, Slash and Duff felt like re-recordind they own parts? I mean, those songs were demos and weren't released because those were not complete/good enough at the time. So if they feel like re-recording some things would make the songs better I say go for it.

  4. I'm really late here but I enjoyed TLJ. I think it was way better than TFA.

TFA felt like a bad remake because everything that happened in the film happened before. Like they even used the same technique to destroy a bigger death star (how original). Really boring and uncreative.

TLJ tried to do things different and just that fact has more value to me than the TFA movie. And I liked the story. Hard to see Luke go but it had to happen someday.

Does that change anything? For someone to rehearse a new band (circa 1999) by re-recording an old album from 1987, made with a former band, suggests you are very much stuck in the past.

What is the difference in the following?

    Rose hires cockrockers

    Adler hires cockrockers

Adler peddles his wares with retro (1987) artwork,

    Again, what is the difference?

Well, let's start saying that I'm not the biggest fan of Appetite for Democracy, but there are several differences.

For one, Axl was not kicked ouf of the band on the 90's for being a drug addict and not being able to keep his shit togheter. Adler did.

So when Adler plays the nostalgia card it says something like this:

"Hey remember that band that kicked me out years ago? Well I still think I should be a part of it so I'm gonna be playing the AFD album like is 1987 all over again"

Nostalgia when you're not in the band (and especially when you were kicked out) is really lame.

He is not really doing anything different from what Rose did in the 00s to be honest. Like Rose, Adler has formed a cover band to play Appetite for Destruction - and that he believes his presence playing these songs is a sort of legitimising presence. Like Rose he is badmouthing ex-Guns N' Roses members. Like Rose he is heavily weighed down by the past.

But Rose only played on Guns N' Roses so no cover band...

Should I believe my tickets that read "Guns N' Roses" or DieselDaisy who says "cover band" on a forum?

Picking one song from one show doesnt prove a thing. He is consistently bad on many songs. SCOM, YCBM, PC, NR, Estranged, Dont Cry, Civil War, Yesterdays, Coma, etc... Pretty much any UYI song. If he isn't screaming at the top of his lungs or using his lower voice, it sounds pure Mickey. The excuses are getting silly. He's just bored? Really? That's why he sounds like mickey mouse, 'cause hes bored?

You have the whole 2016 USA tour where he sounded great. Then you have the AC/DC run. He still got it for sure. Yeah some songs sounds weaker (like SCOM, and YCBM) , but you can pick several examples of 2016 where songs like NR, Dont Cry, Civil War and even Coma sounded very good.

What I'm trying to say is as the tour progressed he started to sound worse on several songs. I think that is because he is not as excited as in the beggining, the novelty is off. Is just the same songs night after night, the autopilot is on. Autopilot = Mickey.

I have to be perfectly honest with myself, I really prefer this band here to the current iteration of GNR. Axl can't sing anymore and Slash plays like he doesn't care. 3 Years ago when that was recorded, I was begging for a Guns N' Roses reunion. I never thought I would be begging to go back lol. Hope to see Slash go back with Myles because that's probably the best he is going to do at the point in his career, money aside obviously. Slash has built a pretty great catalogue of songs over the years, all he needs is a singer that can do those songs justice. Myles has proven he can do it. I love Axl as much as anyone, but he doesn't have it anymore. I hate that, but its the sad, sad truth. Bring on the SMKC reunion!

Just seriously tell me that this Axl doesn't have it anymore:

I think he is just bored as fuck of this tour. It is taking too long to end.
