Love the banner, but I don't think the logo matches. Maybe a bit of colour correction on the current GNR lineup pics so they gel together better.

I got rid of the stars on the logo and changed all the letters to yellow and the line underneath to red. Now I think it matches with the banner pretty well:

Will look at the colours of the current lineup tomorrow.

Ok I was kinda inspired today so I finished my second entry before expected ha.

The logo would be the same as my prior entry, but with a little more shadows so it's more visible when placed on the banner:

Hi Gunners

Attached are pix of my recent GN'R Project.

The first 3 images are what I created for the re-design of the GN'R Logo's.

The following pix after are close-ups of the full banner (7pix in all). They run from the Guns XBones in an anti-clockwise direction. The actual banner in real life is around 4-5metres long & 25-30cm high. It was joined into a 360o Loop. The pix were taken at the Gunners Newcastle concert in 2013. I manipulated them to different sizes, printed them out, then mounted them onto black cardboard that had been veneered with dark purple glitter.

The clay painted skull that I sculpted & decorated, hangs on a silver chain in the centre of the Banner Loop & has a tealite candle inside that makes the eyes glow. The skull (nicknamed "Skully') has gold glitter veneer on the inside, & has pearlised white glitter externally.

It was a lot of work over the past few weeks, & altho exhausted (between that & work & everything else) it's been a lot of fun & really satisfying to have it all finished (finally!! lol)

I really think that would be VERY difficult to have a legal issue for having two roses taken from a 2-years-old poster. It's not like those roses are on a record. Anyway, I can change it if there is really an issue.

You're totally right, it's just more about keeping things fair for everybody by having the one rule. I don't really know where to draw the line on it as far as exceptions go, you know?

I know you've already done a lot of tweaking, so if it's too much trouble don't worry too much about it. If any other entrants feel it's unfair, send me a PM.

The line is kinda confusing also. I don't have a problem with it, but some of the designs have official photos taken from the official website that are copyrighted. That would be official too. So if really nothing 'official' must be on the banner, everybody should change a lot of things. For me, it would be fair if the limit is not to use artworks from the albums.

This makes Dizzy look like the King of the Forum

That's because my resolution, if you have a bigger resolution than 1366*768 then there will be more visible banner and the logo will be more on the left. It all depends on how much of a big display you have.

After seeing it all in place I was thinking of doing something like you HV said to the letters on the logo.

About Dizzy moving to the right, it would be look nice having only sepia members on the logo, but if you have a bigger screen the logo will be more on the left anyway. Also, right now they are ordered like you see them on a stage (minus Frank for obvious reasons). But I could give it a try.

Get ride of the album covers and did it a few more tweaks and it look like this now:

I also did some tweaks to the logo. The 'GNR' part looks almost like the official logo without being actually it, so it's legal ha!

ha! The Axl picture with his arms open would cover DJ and Richard too much.

The Axl pic thing, I like the previous one better but whatever pic that get more likes will make it.

Are you sure that the album covers can't make it? I mean, this is not intended for selling. Anyway I could be wrong cause I don't know much about legal stuff.

I'm thinking of doing other two entries for the contest. Is a max of 3 right?

Ok now I changed the Axl photo and put the one that Black Sabbath sugested and filled the side as Powerage5 asked. I don't know if there is any issue with having the album covers on it, but right now is like the history of the band in one image!

I changed the Axl pic and take the GNR logo off

I also did a new logo. It's pretty much the same style as the current one, but there is a font change and some minors changes. Pretty simple.

Thanks man! In the next days I will work on changing the Axl photo, get ride of the GN'R logo and making a new forum logo. Hope you all like it when it's finished.

I actually really like this. Features everyone with the old members in black and white. Only gripe is that I think Axl should be changed. As bad ass as he looks in that picture, it doesn't represent what he really looks like on stage nowadays.

I agree with the Axl photo thing, but it's funny cause in the old topic (can't find it right now) I had originally a more 'normal' photo of Axl but everybody asked if I could change it. Did it twice and then somebody suggested the photo that is in the banner now and he really look badass now!

Anyway... yeah, I could change it (again ha) if I'm asked to.
