Wow I cant believe how people spend their time. I think Axl should just fuckin get the old band back together. If for no other reason than normal people will be fans again. I never thought id say this because I love the new band and CD but it's time. No new album, endless tours, a crumbling fan base, DJ Ashba, Randy Lahey, pirates.... FUCK! This is supposed to be the coolest fuckin rock band ever.
What's wrong with pirates?
LOL. That was the funniest thing I saw on here in a while... good job man!

I wonder if Axl had ideas for the zodiac song way back in '93 and '94. After all, he did encrypt a message on the cover of The Spaghetti Incident
Yep, it turned out that it read "Fuck 'em All!" If i'm correct. I read it somewhere else a while ago.

Have you guys ever heard Crash Diet? I believe he helped write that and also plays lead guitar. It's a really cool song and PM me if you'd like the download.

I am going to upload more now, but I have something I would like someone to shed some light on. The Your Looks Are Gone song I have says its from The Cathouse, March 1984. Does ANYONE know for sure anything about this song? I have heard multiple things that it's fake, and also some that it is real. Honestly it is very hard to tell. In some ways it sounds like Axl singing, but sometimes it doesn't sound like him at all.
fake as fuck, man
Are you sure on that? The only reason I think it might not be fake is because it sounds a bit like Axl. The reasons I think it might be fake are more numerous when I think about it, such as how there was never any track named Your Looks Are Gone ever mentioned anywhere else. Maybe Marc can confirm if it is real or fake?

Axl did sing Look At Your Game Girl by Charles Manson, and where one of his shirts. Of course this was in '92-'93, he still could be able to write stuff like that now and be able to "connect" with that stuff.
-
I don't think anyone knows anything about these songs to tell you the truth. Possibly AxlRoseCalif (he claims to have it) and MSL might have had it or heard it.
-
Could you possibly PM me on how you got a hold of that Hollywood Rose ticket? That stuff is awesome, and you are a very lucky person.

Porn? Where?
Not anything you would want to see... trust me. This must be the same person doing it... because they seem to always be the same. Also good job mods, you have been responding fast after posts have been reported.

I'm also thinking 2014. I really hope it comes out then. I don't know if I can wait much longer.

I voted GNR because that is who I like the best. I really don't how GNR is winning, especially when they are against the Rolling Stones. Wouldn't it have been better if it was Stones vs Zeppelin?

Honestly, I don't think Axl would be doing an interview with him. From the stuff I heard, he bashes Axl a lot. Even if Axl did do an interview, would he really say anything new? Most of us want to hear about new music or if they are recording. That I consider news.
-
Yup. At least if they were in the hands of Slash or Marc (someone that was a REAL friend) they would have a chance of getting out there or at least be in good hands. I think West would be happier that way also.

Hey Marc - just replying to this thread instead of creating another thread about your book.
I just ordered it a few days ago from Amazon.ca (the Canadian way) and it was delivered today. I haven't had a chance to go through it yet but just from skimming through a few pages all I have to say is WOW! You are a lucky man to be a part of those wicked times! The version I received was the regular cover, that was autographed. Did you autograph all the copied or did I get lucky (no homo)? Also, do you get royalties for each copy that gets sold or did you already receive payment upfront (regardless if the books get sold or not)?
Can't wait to get through it all! Thanks!
I am pretty sure Marc signs them all, and if you wanted when you bought it you could have gotten it personalized. Marc is a great author, because not many sign ALL there books for there fans. I have no problem spending $40-$50 on one of the limited edition covers, because I know the money is going to someone that actually cares about the people buying it and isn't printing lies.

I'm reading this book and it is boring/annoying read. Not sure if I'm going to finish it tbh. I really enjoyed reading Slash's book and hope to read Duff's next. Also just picked up Reckless Road and will keep that on my coffee table indefinitely.
Slash's book was great, Duff's the same. Couldn't put them down. I feel terrible... I have not yet purchased Reckless Road. It is for sure the top on my list though, since it is accurate and has pictures which I think are neat.
I've had Duff's book for over twelve months and haven't read it yet. I've been too busy and I'm not a great reader also. I struggle to read more than a few pages so a whole book takes me forever !! I don't know how on earth I made it through my university degree and ended up the dux of the course...
I have read Reckless Road, Steven's book, Slash's book and they are all a great read. I love losing myself in them and imagining what it was like to be around L.A all those years ago.
How was Steven's book? Interesting? Good stories about GNR?

I think he would have made a great replacement for Izzy..
I never thought of that... yes he very well could have been. I remember one of the members also saying that West was a "Happy go lucky kind of guy". I knew that West had recordings, and that when he died his "friends" stole them and everything else. This must be one of the people, unless he bought them off someone.

Good thread!
I wonder if both Axl and Slash attended his funeral. Sad.
To tell you the truth, I don't know if any original members went. Duff stated in his book he was mad at West because Duff started to help him go through rehab and Duff took him to the place he worked out at (Master Sensi I believe...) and eventually West stopped coming. Duff was mad and thought West quit on him, and started using again. A few weeks later West died but I think Duff was still mad. Kind of a "Look it's your fault buddy not mine, I tried to help" thing. As for Axl and Slash, I don't know. Slash left in 1996 I think... If anyone went it would have been Slash but I don't remember in his book saying anything about it.
-
I would have loved to hear an album in 1999. I really always wonder what it would have been like... or an album in 2004... Was the album in 1999 really called 2000 Intentions?
-
Sorry, I can't post the comments here because it's too long but it is at the bottom to the video.
-
Wow that'd be great! I know Axl and Slash will probably never get back together, but that material would be neat. And didn't someone steal all his tapes and stuff when he died?

Can someone help me find original bootleg cds? I am interested in a lot of the Aces High, Metal Sword, and Ingram Suicide ones. I am not exactly sure where to find these so if anyone can help it'd be great!
The labels you mentioned are from Japan and with the currency rates these days and with shipping your looking at $70-80 dollars for a 2CD title...does that work for you?
Well, I suppose if that's what they cost then I will have to pay that. I don't exactly want to, $40 is more in my price range. Do you happen to have some? Also it depends on the title of course, but like I said I am interested in almost all of them.
I have a good number of the Aces High titles but don't collect the others as they are CDR labels and I refuse to pay silver disc prices for CDR's...you are not going to get real silver Aces High titles for $40 unless you find a private seller who needs money....All the Japanese bootleg vendors I deal with will charge you $70- 90 including shipping for Aces High titles.............unfortunately the exchange rate is not favorable right now so the prices are very high for real silver CD bootlegs........
Here is a great site for researching boots if you don't already have it.
Yup I know about that website already. Would you be able help me get into contact with some of these sellers? And which ones are CD-R labels? Metal Sword and Ingram Suicide? Aces High is the only ones with real pressed discs?
-
This is all it takes for you to call it great? He's out of tune every 5 sec..
It's not his worst version - althought I think TIL is horrible live almost every time - but it's definitely not great imo.
I agree, I wouldn't say it's great but it is average.
-
Hopefully we will get this DVD, something new (even if only a live concert) is fine with me. That will hold me off until CD2.

Does anybody know if Seven and Zodiac are songs about serial killers?
