  1. After the last few shows of 2019 and 2020 I was 100% against buying tickets again. I got a great show in 2017 and didn't want to ruin that memory. After the first few shows this year I stood by that decision.

Well.. they've changed my mind. Axl sounds much improved. There might be less rasp but his voice is much stronger, more consistent. The band have never sounded better, they've released 2 songs and actually played them live, and they rotate the setlist. I'm sold.

This is a management crew who literally hires young female models, ushers them out near the front row, groups them together and then snaps their photos so they can make people think the young and the beautiful attend the concerts on all their social media outlets.

    Nothing surprises me.

    Are they taking applications?

    Agreed.

Is Axl AN icon? Yeah. Anywhere near the level of someone like Elvis or Liberace? Not even close.

I don't think there can be mythical icons like Elvis in the modern era, with how technology has changed the world and how quickly music changes and trends go by. However I think Axl on a level that's as close as you can get as a living person.

Obviously, the cell phones aren't doing a some kind of reverse autotune on Axl's voice and creating "Mickey" that didn't exist.  What I'm guessing is that the audio processing in a cell phone is trying to (under non-concert circumstances) record clear voices and minimize background noise.  Since the phone doesn't "know" you are recording a rock concert, it "highlights" the vocals more and suppresses some of the sound from the instruments.  Basically it alters the mix a bit and makes the voice more noticeable.

Ding ding ding. Not to mention a microphone on a phone isn't going to pick up the same frequencies or record in the same quality. I use my phone with my band all the time in our rehearsals and it's the same.

I really do not understand how any of the selects (Houston the exception) got released in the first place.

Axl obviously was aware enough about them seeing as he's barely shown on screen at all, how can he be ok with sounding that way?

I can only wonder if they're trying to manage expectations.

As for the sound most of it is really poorly mixed and extremely unprofessional.
