  1. The reason they played it that night, the night of the live stream

Again, just because Frank Sidoris or whoever the fuck it was let you know that they were going to play it doesn't mean that it was your Twitter whining that got them to play it.

A Crüe fan. If it was SOLA vs CD, I'd vote CD in a heartbeat. But an AFD song? :rofl-lol:

An AFD song? Oh you mean a song from the only good rock album of the 80s vs some shit Wildfire song no one's even heard of? Yeah, :rofl-lol: .
    Misquoted.

Wfa , u honestly believe CD is better than AFD?

I honestly, and I'm not trolling in this post, I honestly like Chinese Democracy more than Appetite for Destruction. Yes, I realize and understand the significance/ importance of AFD and can understand why some of you love it so much and all, but when it comes down to it I genuinely like CD more. Chinese Democracy is my favorite Guns N' Roses album. Not only are the songs on that album my favorite GNR songs, but Prostitute and Madagascar are my favorite songs by any band, ever. I guess its because that's the album I grew up waiting for, and its the lineups that I know and have lived for and expierenced. Same reason why the older posters on here love the old band I suppose.

Chinese was also the first Guns album I bought for myself

  2. I live in South Carolina, we are known for being the first to leave the union during the US Civil War. We're also known because of our wonderful Congressman Joe Wilson who informed President Obama he was a liar during a SOTU speech. And let's not forget Miss Teen South Carolina 2007

There is quite a bit more, such as home Hootie and the Blowfish, but enough about SC for now. What's your area known for?

  3. And I didn't get them to start playing it

You claimed more than once that you were the sole reason they started playing Serial Killer.
The reason they played it that night, the night of the live stream

wfa created a twitter and amassed 3000 followers just to cupcake mygnr

    jesus fucking christ :rofl-lol:

I've had that fan page since 2010

Already a thread about it and I've got the whole Sixx Army voting as well. Crüe will win

Ok buddy. Just like you singlehandedly got Slash to start playing Serial Killer.
Well I do operate Sixx Army :shrugs:

And I didn't get them to start playing it, I merely requested it be played at a certain gig, which it was. You've already seen the proof of that :shrugs:

You are actively getting the sixx army to.

    vote for crue?

Kind of gnr fan are you?

A Crüe fan. If it was SOLA vs CD, I'd vote CD in a heartbeat. But an AFD song? :rofl-lol:
  4. Motley should have grabbed Poison and KISS for the final tour, that would be a kick ass gig. Alice Cooper

When do tickets for this go on sale?

this might actually be the most idiotic thing you've ever posted.

Bacardi - again, we all know you hate 80's rock music. Why do you post in every thread that comes up that is about 80s rock bands?

Agree with the Bacardi part but why for the first part? I would much rather see Poison or another 80's Sunset Strip band with the Crüe than Alice Cooper. I enjoy Poison more :shrugs:
  5. Vince doing solo music! lol Is he going to sing on those albums?

I think Vince should just stay in Vegas and continue with his strip clubs and restaurants.

Oh, and getting face lifts too.

    That's a pretty shallow attitude.

How dare a singer continue to try and make a living as a singer.

Calling Vince a singer is giving him a bit too much credit :P
    :max:
  6. My favorite one is the one where, see, i ain't heard these in years but he's having a go at someone, saying something like 'you're a dumb motherfucker, you just got the shit beat out of you and keep coming back for more' and in the middle the guy obviously must've made a gesture that irked Axl a bit cuz he suddenly actually sounds REALLY pissed and he's like 'HEY, YOU WANNA FUCKIN' FLIP ME OFF YOU PIECE O SHIT?!?! COME UP HERE!' Classic!

Funny how he never seems to flip at someone who looks like he can have it though eh? I wonder whyyyyy..

    Philly 91 during WTTJ.
  7. Back on topic.

Has any of Axl's recent tweets mentioned GnR activity? News on an album, new songs to be played, more tour dates, the DVD release date, etc?

What do you think? Do you see any threads about a new album coming? If that tweet had been made this forum would be blowing up.

    True.

I follow a lot of bands and they all keep their fans pretty up-to-date on the band's future plans. They don't treat new songs, album plans, tour dates like they are top secret military secrets. With all the recent chatting about how awesome it is that Axl was communicating with his fans........I thought maybe he had released some band information. Sorry - I hadn't taken the time to read each and every topic.

I follow a lot of bands like that too. There are even some that have Q and A's with the fans on Twitter, its actually cool. I hope that tweet comes this year though
  8. These are pretty much the only 80's power ballads I can listen to.

    gnr~ SCOM, Patience

Patience isnt a power ballad. Power ballads have big dramatic choruses like Don't Cry.
Who are you the power ballad police? For one this thread said "80's rock ballads" Don't cry was released in 91'. And patience is every bit a "ballad". How is Patience any different than "Next to be with you" by Mr. Big or "More than words" by Extreme?
I started this thread therefore it makes me the power ballad police and I say Patience is a ballad. Moving on.

There's one from White snake, I can't remember the name but its awesome.

    Is this love?
That's it. I also like Here I Go Again, but I don't know if it can be considered one. It starts out soft, and gets heavy so I guess it could be a power ballad?

Someone said You're All I Need earlier: Yes. That's a great song on its own, but kinda funny if you know the backstory. I also saw Kingdom Come mentioned, I love that band.

Would we count 18 & Life as a ballad? If so that's in my top 10 80's ballads

I don't think Coming Home by Cinderella has been mentioned yet, but that's a great one as well

  9. I honestly believe that's why Tommy has looked so bored onstage. He wants to do new stuff, get another record out, play more new songs and fewer old ones. Hell, he had been in the band for 10 years before CD was released. 10 years without an album. In 10 years, Mötley Crüe had put out their entire classic catalogue, toured them all, and released a Greatest Hits album with new songs on it. I know most of you don't like Crüe, but you can't deny the get shit done. What did Guns for for 10 years? Toured. And after CD was finally released, nothing happened. The tour didn't even start until late 2009, a year AFTER the record came out. I think it frustrates the hell out of Tommy.
