We play this game on another forum I post on, and it's a lot of fun, so I figured what the fuck, let's try it here! Hopefully you guys find it fun :)

The rules are simple - someone posts a picture from somewhere in the world, and other members have to guess where it was taken. Whoever gets it right gets to post the next picture, and so on. City will suffice when guessing locations.

    EXAMPLE:

    I post this picture:

    1010014_715005441848823_926920152_n.jpg

Obviously, the answer is Moscow. Member x guesses New York. Wrong. Member y guesses Moscow. Correct. Member y gets to post the next picture.

    I get to start off!

‘Modern-day Bogeyman’ Akinwale Arobieke spent more than a year in jail after being accused of an offence – despite the charge being dropped weeks after his arrest.

The 52-year-old today said he intended suing Merseyside Police over his recall to Liverpool Prison on July 8, 2011.
In a letter to the force, which police said they had not received, he alleges “malicious prosecution and false imprisonment”.

Mr Arobieke, who is the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) banning him from touching muscles, was freed on licence on June 27, 2011 following a 30-month sentence for touching the thigh of a police cadet in Llandudno.
On July 7, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) received a complaint alleging he had breached his SOPO by touching the muscle of a student outside Bolton College three days after his release.
The allegation was forwarded to Mr Arobieke’s “point of contact” at Merseyside Police who alerted the probation service.
The following day the 6ft 5in body building enthusiast was arrested by Merseyside Police and returned to Liverpool Prison.
On August 3 he was interviewed by GMP officers at a Liverpool police station and shown CCTV footage which, according to the letter, “demonstrated that Mr Arobieke had not touched a bicep muscle of any person outside Bolton Community College as alleged in his recall documentation”.
On September 8 he was informed no further action would be taken but, despite this, Mr Arobieke was to remain in jail for nearly a year until a parole board hearing on July 9, 2012 led to his immediate release.
In the Parole Board report, Mr Arobieke admitted speaking to a group of students and asking one if “he did weight training”.
The report goes on to say: “You state that CCTV images viewed in the company of your legal representative provided no evidence of you having touched any of the students outside Bolton College and that following this it had been put to you by a GMP officer that you had ‘mentally’ measured a person’s biceps in contravention of the SOPO.
“The panel concluded from the evidence that your behaviour leading to recall had not increased your levels of risk.”
The report added: “No prosecution followed and no evidence was presented to the panel to indicate the source and nature of the allegation or the reason for discontinuance in spite of a direction for the provision of such information from Merseyside Police.”
Mr Arobieke’s lawyer Joe Ely said the letter was sent to Merseyside chief constable Jon Murphy on September 20 last year.
But a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that we have not received a letter from Mr Arobieke or a representative of Mr Arobieke in September. It would be inappropriate for us to comment at this stage.”

I'm sorry the use of the word chicken has consumed you. Good thing I didn't say "chickenshit," I might've been lectured for several paragraphs.

Let's be very clear here: all the nu-Guns players are just employees. Right? Right. Whereas, Slash and Duff were partners with Axl for the majority of their time in the band. See the difference? They didn't have the balls to challenge Axl. Plain and simple. Oh sure, they've portrayed it like they were the innocent little victims. They weren't. And if Slash really loved GnR, he should've fought for it, not acquiesced to Axl's shenanigans all the time.

Saber you're in for an essay

Groghan: Dude, come on. VR is more successful than GN'R? That's laughable. Where do you pull statements like that from? In absolutely no universe is Velvet Revolver more popular than Guns N' Roses.

    Album sales?

    Numbers of albums released?

    Awards?

    Critical acclaim?

We aren't talking "favorite" band, we are talking facts.

I hated VR. But they were clearly more successful than GnR has been.

Album sales-Dont amount to much these days with the amount of illegal downloads. Contraband was released in 04, CD in 08 at the height of illegal downloading. I'm sure if there was a way to see how much an album was downloaded, and add that to sales, CD will surpass VR by a long shot.

Number of albums released 2 from VR, then CD. Though as CD was a Guns album, you could also add in the other GNR albums bringing it to 2-8.

Awards-Music awards dont mean anything, they are a joke. Look at the Grammh's, the HOF, etc. Absolute embarassment. Not even old GNR won a grammy.

Critical acclaim- all opinion and therefore can't be used as any sort of evidence

  4. The real Guns n' Roses doesn't exist anymore either. Despite that lead singer guy who still uses the name along with some hired hands.

You sure? I saw real GNR a few years ago, and they're getting ready to tour again
Must've been some coverband. Let me guess, the one with the 40 year old #demented #emo #douche pretending to be Slash?

The singer is shit though. He sounds like Axl and Mickey Mouse's lovechild.

This is a perfect example of a post that makes this place shit at times.

I will never understand why nothing is done about this bullshit.

I feel the same about 99% of your over the top shitposts Trollcano. Don't like a taste of your own medicine?
Volcano makes good, intelligent posts about Guns N' Roses, whereas you make cupcake posts like this calling them a cover band, etc. How is that a taste of his own medicine?

Groghan believes because VR did a little better in the US with Contraband that makes them a global phenomenon.

Fact is GNR are much more successful in the rest of the planet. It's not even comparable.

VR is more successful than NuGNR.

Wrong VR doesn't exist anymore. That says a lot.

There is no "nu GNR"...there is GNR and old GNR.

The real Guns n' Roses doesn't exist anymore either. Despite that lead singer guy who still uses the name along with some hired hands.

Neither do the members of Axl's touring nostalgia act.Guns N' Roses

And yes, in the beginning Slash and Duff were partners with Axl. They were just a rock band trying to make it big. It wasn't until the early 90's where Axl became power-hungry and began to do things on his terms instead of the bands. He was always late, he was a bitch on stage (at times), he was the one who caused riots, he was the one that put My World on the Illusions without the bands authorization. Don't try to act like the old band is even close to the current band. Who helped Axl write iconic songs like Welcome To The Jungle and Sweet Child? Slash and Duff. Those song's are still blared through arena's and radio stations across the globe. What iconic rock songs has DJ wrote with Axl? How about Ron? Stinson? Fortus?

And Slash and Duff may have played the blame game on Axl in the past, but don't act blind to Axl's constant "everybody's out to get me," attitude. Axl's the one playing the innocent victim, not them. They were at the Hall of Fame, Duff has played with Axl numerous times. Wasn't it Axl who said that Slash caused him to get writers block? Hell, it could rain tomorrow and Axl will probably blame that on Slash. The guy hates him, and never explains why. He just goes on this tirades about nonsensical bullshit which only he can decipher.

Do record sales even mean anything these days? CD was released in the height of the illegal downloading days. And I remember seeing something about it being one of the most downloaded albums of the year, so surely CD reached more people?

  9. How can you say that Duff was a member of new guns n roses?

    He was a founding member.

    of new guns n roses?

Not the way I see things.

Remember how Axl talked about "alumni" on stage with him? Or are you just smartass/trolling your way around here.

I'm sorry that you don't know your Guns N' Roses history very well, but Duff was in the band with Robin as Axl's employee after Slash left the band. Same with Matt. Duff is a founding member of New Guns N' Roses whether you choose to accept it or not.
Duff McKagan was in this incarnation's original lineup, he's the one that suggested Robin as a replacement for Slash if I remember correctly. I'm sorry you don't like the idea that Duff was in new GNR.
    Misquote?
IIRC, Duff had suggested Robin as a foil for Slash, but Axl said something along the lines of "no, he would be a great REPLACEMENT for Slash"
Yeah, and how does that disagree in any way with my post that you quoted?
I wasn't disagreeing? I was merely adding on some more info to what you had said
