I know I’ve said this before, but as a HUGE Bucket fan, I hope this is 300 and out for the Pikes. A new creative endeavour is needed I think. And please - with a real drummer.

I picked up:
- Live Evil by Miles Davis
- Chet Baker
- Local Hero soundtrack (fan-bloody-tastic!!!)
Mr Big hadn't been delivered but got it ordered for next week.
On my way out the door I also spotted a used copy of Ted Nugent's debut for a tenner so got that as well.

It's as simple as Fortus is in the band Bucket's not.
Though Brain's drum part is a different story.
It still pains my heart. Fortus might ne reliable but he is not inspiring or original.

Been a while since I posted here. Picked up a few things over the past month or so:
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
Steven Wilson - Last Day Of June Soundtrack
Porcupine Tree - Signify
Probably missed loads more. Got a load of Blue Note stuff.
Jazz is vinyl heaven 👍

It pains my heart that Fortus might have played a killswitch for pretty much the only time in his career simply to remove Bucket from a credit.
Bucket is a far far far superior guitarist, superior artist, and has donated a big part of his playing to kilswithc technique.

Off topic I know, but on the Slash subject... he is probably my favourite guitarist of all time, but his sound has definitely changed for the worse in my view. Still love it, and relatively he is still amazing, but definitely has declined. The tone seems to have changed (around 10 years ago), and it also often sounds ever so slightly flat when he bends notes live.

Personally speaking I have no issue with people comparing musicians, I think it's perfectly normal, like how people compare football players, holiday destinations, restaurants etc.
My main issue, and what is not really covered when people do compare, is simply the massive chasm of wasted opportunity that exists with GnR. Never has potential v reality been so disappointingly large.

In the world of GNR, anything is possible.
Remember this cryptic message from htgth back in 2007:
demolition: To all the haters : I'm sorry for you not sorry for me. You don't know who you can trust now or who to believe.
Remember these words when the album comes out.
I'm out of hereWe all had a laugh at that guy. Riiiiight. Whatever dude.
Then we got to hear "Sorry" for ourselves.....
I vaguely recall that. Who was he, some random forum dude or was he involved in the album (technician, engineer etc?).

Top 5 Pink Floyd songs is an impossible ask for me. It changes every week. Same as Deep Purple, Led Zep etc. So many great tunes, shortlisting to 5, and then putting those 5 in order!, is an impossible task.

Am I the only one seeing ads for SMKC 4 when I log in here?
Nope me too. Talk about a waste of advertising revenue.

That's disappointing. I hope you get that worked out easily. I couldn't care less about condition of cover art, but if the LP itself isn't in the condition described then that's a problem.
As for me, I'm going to go make a hate purchase today. I'm going to buy the overpriced, 2 LP, 45rpm (for no reason), remix of A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
This is 100% a completionist purchase and I will probably listen to it once at the most. I am part of the problem with these type of releases lol
I bought that for the same reason... 🤷♂️

I've not really looked into this, but after watching an unboxing, I may pick it up!
Currently blasting Original Soundtracks I by Passengers (Eno/U2). I think I paid around £50 for this a few years back, it's went up considerably since.
I LOVE Brian Eno. Burning Shed is a good website for his stuff (and other bands).

Music for Falling, a new soundtrack album by Viggo Mortensen and Buckethead was delivered today.
You can pick it up on the Perceval Press website.
It's ambient piano and guitar tunes. Very chill out and great to work to.

The ending was way too similar to a certain late-1990's movie ending. Totally cringe then, even worse now.
Maybe it's a tribute to Sean Connery 😉👍

Yeah. Also just saw it. It was alright. Another villain with an iffy motive, just like Blofeld and a strange dude, just like Silva and really the actors who play him and Madeline are practically the same age, so that took me out a bit.
100%. I had exactly the same thought and it took me out the movie for a few minutes. Only 4 years between them.

Not sure if anyone else saw it, but did Idris Elba have a cameo, at the party in Cuba? I could swear I saw him but it was such a quick shot I couldn’t really process it in real time.
I spotted that. Tried to google it but couldn't find anything.

Finally got around to ordering a vinyl cleaning system:
Will give it a go at the weekend.
Also ordered a few more Herbie Hancock vinyls from his funk jazz era:
Herbie Hancock - Manchild
Herbie Hancock - Flood
Herbie Hancock - Crossings
Bring it on!!!

I told my mates to listen to it. One of then said it reminded him of "Towers of London".
That's one for the UK folks. Fucking Donny Tourettes... possibly my favourite ever episode of Buzzcocks.

This is boxing my friend, terrible decisions aren't out of the ordinary. Looking forward to the rematch!
I don't see the rematch happening. What's the point? AJ knows he'll lose. Now... Usyk v Fury, there's a fight.

Why would he lie about Soul Monster? Probably same reason him, his team and his band-mates have lied over and over again about fellow up albums, new songs and finishing touches on his vocals.
To keep people talking about them so they continue to sell tours and merchandise.
What album?
I'll give you a compliment- you're resilient.
The price is expensive, delivery schedule farcical, but I'm chuffed!!!!

Aj needs a KO going into the 12th. If he wins a decision it's pure Eddie Hearn shady.
No chance a decision can go his way surely.
Vinyl LP and Turntable Discussion

Been a white since I posted here and can’t remember what I updated people on.
Recently pre-ordered the new Porcupine Tree album. Ordered two vinyl versions - the standard black version, and a limited edition 45rpm box set with additional tracks.
Also pre-ordered the 2022 reissue of Kaleidoscope by Transatlantic, which will complete my Transatlantic studio albums collection.
Finally have the following on hold in local stores:
Mr Big from RSD
and Ghosts of Mars Soundtrack also from RSD - pretty stoked about this one due to the Guns / Finck / Bucket link, and it has been delayed time and time again due to the pressing plant backlog so chuffed it finally got sorted.
