You've have to wonder if, at some point, perhaps twenty to thirty years from now, they'll remake episodes I through VI. Part of me would really like to see the prequels redone with a reworked story, better writing, better acting, and carry it over to episodes IV through VI to make everything consistent. I figure it would be controversial, especially if they redid the original trilogy, but part of me would love to see a consistent Star Wars saga where they don't have to conform to 1970s technology.
That wouldn't surprise me, you know it's pretty much inevitable.
Once all us oldtimers who grew up with just the original films are out of the picture/irrelevant, I'd almost guarantee it.

Yeah and I would argue that some of the imagery is still nice-looking in Phantom, like the designs of Darth Maul and Liam Neeson, as well as the designs of the ships and the underwater city. In contrast, Attack of the Clones has no memorable imagery at all imo. It all looks like shit.
Obi Wan fighting Jango Fett on the clone planet and then in space was pretty cool.

Before joining Guns N Roses, Richard Fortus was best known for playing guitar on a Smith's cover song that featured vocals by the former lead singer of The Psychadelic Furs.
If the guy has writing chops (no doubt he can play guitar) I'm not aware of them.
Axl can't have been too impressed with them either, cause there ain't no Richard Fortus tunes on Chinese Democracy...and even Dizzy Reed has songwriting credits on that one.
His big contribution was rerecording Paul Huge's parts.

I remember seeing (around 02) a GNR logo with crossed AK-47's...it looked fucking bad ass.
Never seen it again, might have been fan made.
On topic: that Portugal version looks a bit dodgy IMO.

Black Sabbath, the album, was recorded and mixed in two days. Two....days! Genius does not take years and years of twiddling knobs to get the right sound. Just plug in the guitars and mic and let it rip. Heck, Please Please Me was recorded from start to finish in an afternoon. Love Me Do>Scraped.
This right here.
I particularly like the Sabbath example, but so many of the truly classic albums were recorded in a day or less.
All that tampering didn't do the songs on Chinese Democracy any good.

I mean other than the chorus part "You know that I know better", and that's an extremely big grasp for straws, I'd have to say "No, not even remotely".
Ever since I was a little kid I used to say "you know I know you know I know you know, you know?"
I'm suing both Axel and the Jets.

I'm gonna be really disappointed if these super talented little stars of the Trump Youth don't get a prime slot...
I especially like the bit about "crushing" people/peoples.
I wonder if this was written by Jimmy "Mouth Of The South" Hart?

Indeed.
Then you move onto the Bodyline series...she's putty in your hands at this point.

Came here to post "grab her by the pussy" but I see I'm a little late for that.

Just read that Superfly Jimmy Snuka passed away.
Another legend gone.

After seeing The Force Awakens I just wished they'd have left the Star Wars "saga" story (I mean Luke, Leia, Han etc) alone.
I know Ford wanted to be bumped off in Jedi, but to bring him back after all this time just to bump him off (with minimal buildup or anything) fucking sucked.
What was that shit with the pirates and monsters?
TFA reminds me of Alien Resurrection in a lot of ways.
I know in 1977 nobody had any idea what any of the stuff they talked about in Star Wars was (Clone Wars?), it could be considered gibberish and you could argue the same for this movie (how we have no idea about who Rey etc are yadada) but...
I 'just figure I'm not "the target demographic" for this shit anymore, despite being an 80's kid and loving Star Wars.

Besides the kick ass music, they swore, drank, smoke, shot heroin, dressed in leather and beat up women.
Hey, I was like 10.

No doubt Ron was/is a very talented guitarist, but any of his own songs I've heard have been pretty awful.
I guess if you're into stuff like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and all that nu metal stuff you might think Ron's stuff is pretty awesome...personally I hate that shit, and I can't blame Axl for not wanting to write songs with him (or DJ).
Look no further than Art Of Anarchy.

Imagine how galling it would have been for the other guys in that band (Axl GNR 09-14) to have to share the stage with a "lead guitarist" that was incapable of performing the material.
If I was Ron or Richard, everytime DJ played a solo I'd be making a point of taking my hands off the guitar and pointing towards Ashba- otherwise people might think they were the ones responsible.
I really wonder what the fuck was going on with Axl, like how the fuck did he tolerate Ashba's abysmal performances (and embarrassing looks/behaviour) for...5 YEARS?
Lowest point in the GNR history for sure.

Dizzy Reed, like him or hate him, gave NuGNR a little credibility. "Only original member Axl Rose and UYI era-keyboardist Dizzy Reed..."
But he is the definition of a yes man who deals with Axls bullshit so he keeps his job. And has no idea or say about anything in this band after being in it for 26 years.
Well spoken, and yes that tiny shred of cred during those years is the guys crowning achievement for two and a half decades.
Oh, wait on...he has a writing credit on a Chinese Democracy song or something!

It's really not a very good song...I hope they don't play it.
This is the polite way of expressing my feelings on this matter.

Finding out who "Team Brazil" are, etc etc.
Nothing against them, but I just think it's sad that they are somehow celebrities in this sick and twisted online community.
On that, the sick and twisted online community...you know, the NUTTERS...the ones from days of yore that have been driven from this forum.
Also, wading through drivel Rovin posts in every thread.

Not the Anakin Skywalker I imagined (from the very brief description of him in ROTJ) as a kid in the 80's, no sir.
-
Not a fan of the Brendan Fraser films, don't think I'm going to be a fan of this one either...in fact, as it stars Tom Cruise, odds are good I won't even bother seeing it.

When Jake busts into his brother's house while him and his family are sitting at the table and beats the fucking shit out of him (his brother) in Raging Bull.

Yeah, The Phantom Menace would be my pick of them too.
I think Revenge Of The Sith gets way too much praise, I'm not sure if I could say it's any better than Attack Of The Clones.
