  1. I wish Axl would use BBF, 4tus, pitman, and tommy as backup singers on the ChiDem songs instead of using the playback backing vocal track.

-Like on Catcher, tell them to learn the all the cues and notes for the vocals.

-On TWAT tell 2 of them to sing the "it was a long/wrong time" in a pitch comfortable to them and have them do the correct harmonies on the "yeah there was a time, didnt want to know..." part (theres like 4 or 5 parts to it, but only 1 is sung).

-On Maddy, tell em to sing the last verse backing vocals.

-On CD tell to sing the backing vocals how ISE's backups are sung.

-On SOD tell them to sing the "ahh"'s and "oohs" after the solo

-On Better at the last verse, tell them to sing the correct harmonies that are on the studio version (theres 3 parts to it but only 1 is sung)

And for fucks sake, the "hooooo" 's in Jungle need to come back. Not the "aaaahhhh" that they (tommy?) did before or the thing they do now with the guitar.

And this is assuming theyll ever play those ChiDem songs again.

Another thing I don't like is on Catcher, I'd rather him sing "another day like" rather than the quick "its just another day like". And the very next word (todaaaaaayy) he comes in too early every time.

    A lot, i know :shrugs:

  2. Another thing is I never liked 'new'GNR's opening for YCBM. the whole controlled feedback. I'd much rather it be played with the traditional opening drums by themselves. Also, I don't like Axl's version of Brownstone that he started doing in UYI (maybe even before that. cant remember) where he takes a pause between "dancin with" and "mr brownstone". Also that he never sustains the note for more than half a second.

  3. One more thing that I can think of was when they reintroduced Civil War, Tommy didn't play Duff's parts in the intro. He plays them now but doesn't play them exactly how it is on the album. There's a cool bass line (dont exacty know what to call it) between the "look at your young men dying" and the "way we've always done before". Duff never played exactly how it was on the album (even in the recent SA tour).

Also would prefer don't cry in its original form with drums and all throughout the song

    Frank's playing on Rocket Queen.

i hate that too. Takes away from the song

  4. Besides the fact that DJ murders every song to pieces

For me it was four things:

-Matt's inability to do that drum roll like Steven did in the beginning of ISE

-Matt's "other" snare(?) drum that he used when playing the Estranged right before the "Old at heart" (and after the "1, 2") part and on NR at the build up before the orgasmic solo. It didn't sound very pleasing to me even though it was probably for the sake of being louder

-How none of the drummers 01-present played the intro right of YCBM. Frank almost has it but he purposely plays an unnecessary tom while hitting the snare. It should be snare>hanging tom>floor tom>floor tom>snare and so forth. Frank plays it snare>hanging tom>floor tom>floor tom>snare+floortom so forth.

-the simplified 1st solo of YCBM before the first verse from 01-06 (i think 06 did it)

Just my pet peeves, do you guys have any?

  5. Axl's highest note in the recording studio ever was on Ain't it Fun? At what part or what lines in the song?

Most likely 4:08 of the song when he does that high scream/squeal thing

He gets higher in twat.. during the screaming parts in the ending.. he is very high and consistent with his voice too

He gets even higher in Riad.

I dont think so. He does a super high pitch note (almost like a controlled voice crack) for a split second before he comes back down

  6. Plot twist: Slash and Axl have been staging all this hatred for 18 years to devise a plan to gather the AFD lineup+Matt (on his songs) and create the biggest reunion ever and bring in big bucks. Slash and Axl with both slim out, and Axl will retrain his voice and perform the fuck out of a sold out arena and release the thing on 4k blu ray
