Have we gotten any confirmation on this being the real Fernando? (apart from Fernando not denying it months ago)

This track is incredible. He really was wasting his time and talent in GN'R

Autotune, etc can make him sound good. His voice on the This i Love Remix is totally different than the Mickey Mouse shit we've got on CD.
I don't think he needs autotune to sound good on studio. Singing live for 3 hours, 3 times a week, running around the stage is very different to singing in a studio setup.
Even in 2001-2002 he had some serious trouble singing live, but still could sound amazing on studio (as he does on the whole Chinese Democracy album imo, eventhough most vocal takes are from 99-2000 apparently).
I think we can take Rock the rock as an example of what he's capable of these days. I just wished we could have got a live album from the 2006-2007 or the 2009-2010 era, when he was vocally at his best form since the old days.

The band sounded way better during any of the Chinese Democracy eras imo, and I'm not even considering Axl's performance

Obviously when a concert doesn't happen on the promised date, people should have the option to return their tickets. Never said anything else.
As for the second part of the question: Oh, look at all the offended people here tonight. Fuming at the mouth, too stupid and offended to get what I was saying. Well, to answer to you and to others. Yeah, if you can't afford it, you shouldn't buy overpriced tickets to a rock show. If it means, less food on the table, because 500 $ is a huge sum to you, then you probably shouldn't do it. If you don't have enough savings to get by for a while, when loosing your job or any other unforseen thing, without having to beg for that money back, then yes, it probably is not a smart and responsible thing to pay that sum in the first place.
It has nothing to do with privilege or that enjoyment for the low paid should being outlawed.... What a stupid thing to say. It has to do with being responsible and smart with your money. Expect the unexpected. Have a backup plan and savings. If that offends you. Well. 2 bad. I heed to my advice and don't have to worry and ask for my ticket money back, as I buy the stuff that is within my means. I'm responsible with my money, even though I go to a lot of rock shows. I'm not paying 500 $ for a stupid concert ticket, when I could get one for 150 $ that gives me the same, just without the fancy stuff. I don't pay 200 $ for a hotel, when I could get one for 70. I don't book stuff, that is uncancelable. The list goes on.
Well, I guess being responsible in this situation would be getting the money back instead of spending your savings right away, when we don't even know for how long this pandemic will be around, right? No need to call "dipshit" a person who made a big sacrifice in order to see their favourite band and getting the best possible experience out of it, and now could really prefer a refund before spending their savings, as this pandemic fits every definition of a fortuitous event.
Also, it would be great if you made one post at a time. It's very uncomfortable having to go through 10 different posts of yours on every single page

GNR's catalogue is so small that they could have played every album on its entirety by now, instead of doing the same show on every leg of the tour. Now, that would have been awesome, and would also give the band some breathing space to work on new music with a satisfied fanbase.

I really wish Frank would stop trying to keep tempo on his hi-hat when he shouldn't be playing at all. It makes sense if they're using backing tracks, which I think isn't the case in Dead Horse. It's almost like he can't just keep quiet and stop playing.

Axl likes all things Disney. He does these impressions of Mickey Mouse singing Guns N' Roses songs, classic
No but I don't know, it's hard to get inspired by today's music. Actually, it's hard to find something interesting at all nowadays. Every song and singer sounds the same, it all lacks talent, effort and inspiration. It's depressing really.
I actually think it's much easier to find something interesting nowadays. Internet? There are literally millions of bands that you've never heard of, and there really is something for everyone's taste. I feel blessed to live in this era, to be honest.

I meant to say that the "they" I was referring to was the guitar player either Slash or Richard. Axl started at the right spot at the beginning of the song. Its all good though.
What second are you referring to? To me it sounds just like the album version
-
Maybe Quicksong started as an Slash idea (the main riff it's basically Slither's intro cut to half). Hardschool also sounds like something Slash would write (the main riff/chorus)

I don't there's anything GN'R has ever done that plays with time signatures as much as they do in Zodiac. Wonderful tune.

I just sent an email asking Fernando if Buckethead and Finck are returning to the band. He didn't answer. It's happening

Axl sounds exceptionally good. Hope this gives him the confidence to try something new

I just went through all of the takes. I love the fact that Buckethead recorded so many takes on the same solo of just one song (that didn't even have lyrics at the moment).
Imagine having every Buckethead take of the TWAT solo. Or having every take that Robin recorded for TIL. That would be amazing to hear.

To be fair some people have liked Silkworms for almost 19 years now
The two versions that leaked last year aren't two distinct versions - one was doctored. The real version that leaked last year was a stereo track with BBF guitar overdubs - BBF is in one channel, and the other channel is the rest of the track. The other "version" that leaked last year is just the track from the other channel doubled, so it's essentially dual mono.
Hard to believe this version of Silkworms comes from after 2001 since the song had the chorus in 2001 and this doesn't. Also, only one version of each of those songs has leaked in the last couple weeks.
Well, the BBF version doesn't have the chorus, and it has BBF in it, so it's at least from 2006 (or whenever BBF joined the band).

There's plenty of decent people are there still. It's just that the attention seekers are so annoying because they're so vocal. So they make the decent people seem like they're in the minority, but we're not
As for Kaneda, he tried to use the forum for this attention seeking nonsense and was eventually banned for it. He's not going to be aloud back on here any time soon, unfortunately.
That picture is over a month old. What does it have to do woth anything?
Didn't know, thought it was new. Feel free to remove my post

This proves nothing, but I'm getting my hopes up anyway

Holy shit, Going Down sounds incredible. Totally different from the other version
Shackler's Revenge solo - original version?
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted
Yes, this was discussed when the multi-tracks leak came up. It's very interesting and makes you wonder about the original solo.
Now that we got the original Buckethead version of what would become Shackler's Revenge on the Village Sessions leak, it's even more interesting!
