I am mildly amused to see this thread jump 10+ pages since I checked yesterday.
I am sure when I check back tomorrow I'll be even more amused by the complete meltdown that will be going on.
No matter what the announcement there will be a portion of the forum who hates it and will dramatically wail and gnash their teeth and another portion who will over dramatically rub their love of it in everyone's face. Then over sensitive reactions will kick in.
So much fun and excitement coming up. I need to find my popcorn.

I feel bit sheepish. I haven't listened to a recording of Axl singing big shot since the night it happened. I don't dislike the song, exactly, but I feel that if I have to listen to it more than a once or twice a year or so then I could very easily come to disliking it a lot. Even Axl doesn't make it better.

I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was really little. At least until I realized that not all animals could be helped. It was clear that becoming a vet was no longer a career choice for me unless I figured out how to do magic. So I decided to be librarian.
Didn't end up being a magical veterinarian nor a librarian.
Still kind of disappointed about the lack of magic thing.

Sorry! I was on the lady who likes Disney's periscope. Mine worked fine.

Here is another in case the other goes down: https://www.periscope.tv/w/1OwxWAbpYEmGQ

It appears that this one is the only one going at the moment: https://www.periscope.tv/w/1rmGPPEpObdGN
It was going strong when Axl was on, but it is starting to cut in and out. I am not sure if it will last all the way through.

So... what are the odds that the stream dies just as it get to the song that Axl is supposed to guest on?

The older I get the shorter my attention span gets. Slow songs kill me.
I hate getting old.

I saw him live a couple of years ago and these periscopes do a serious disservice to the show he puts on.
Isn't that the nature of periscopes and other amateur live streaming? You really have to be somewhere in person to get the full effect.

Hopefully there is an unlocking mechanism on the inside of that dead bolt or I might start to get concerned that they are planning on locking Axl in the room.

I've always liked it. I never thought it sounded greatest- didn't care for the arrangement at the top of my list. And when it came to the vocals I was never sure if it was too restrained or too strained. Could be either since they pretty much hopped on stage straight out of the audience, but I always thought Axl was making it sound tight out of choice rather than rust.

I am so sorry. My heart is with you. My dog is at the stage where we are having to have discussions that none of us want to have. Losing a pet is hard. Having to make that decision for your pet is one of the worst things we ever have to do. At this point just thinking about it chokes me up.
When my last dog passed what helped me the most was sitting down and writing down everything I remembered about him. Everything from the first time I met him to strange behaviors he picked up and lost over the years. Every incident that made me love him and every time I wanted to strangle him. I never actually finished it. I kept meaning to, but I found I didn't have to. I still missed him, of course, but it was a quiet longing missing rather than a gaping raw wound missing.
I'd love to continue to hear stories about her whenever you feel like sharing them.

That's Axl on the studio recording of the song... they incorrectly listed Izzy as the lead vocal in the liner notes.
Axl is clearly on the studio recording. But Izzy is the one doing the main vocals lines. Axl is the background/random bits/screams.
Kind of like Cornshucker. Duff is the main vocal, but you hear Axl all over the song.

Today Dust n' Bones was the clear winner for me. Ask me in a month and I may change my mind.

What’s more, despite recently wrapping up their huge Not In This Lifetime world tour, the partly-reunited original GNR lineup have now signalled on more than one occasion that they’re far from over.
Wow. Time flies. I thought we were still in April. I was looking forward to the summer shows. I'm sorry I missed them.

We have #gunsnrose #studio #recording on a fuckin pic of Slash and people wanna discuss his hairline?
Can we see the fuckin carpet please!!!!
But new music is boring. We need to discuss the new enthralling topic of Slash's hair. Quit trying to distract us from what is important.

I am not sure that it makes sense to stop in the middle of a tour to drop an album?
I find it strange that so many fans think that action is logical.
They are still playing new markets. Even when they come back to the US they'll be playing new markets with the possible exception of St. Louis.

I love it even more than I thought I would.
I did not realize periscoping was a thing until a year ago. Getting to watch the shows and get a tiny ittybitty taste... I love it. I know that it isn't anything at all like being at a show. The cell phone doesn't acurately pick up the acoustics. The image is often bad. Can't feel the music rumbling inside as much as hearing it. AND don't have other excited fans standing on all sides feeding the excitement higher.
Periscope isn't even a pale imitation, but it makes me happy to watch and hang out on the forum when I can. Then watch the better videos that start coming out after.
I am excited for all the people who are getting a chance to see them do their thing who hadn't had a chance to yet. I am happy for every one who has seen them and is going to get to see them again. I am going to be sad when this tour is over.
Hopefully there is going to be new things on the horizon. I wouldn't count on it though, and will enjoy what I get while I have it.

Well, it's not.
Hottest refers to something that is popular for a relatively short time. Biggest is also popular but it stands passage of time.
So be it. If that is what it means to you then that is what it means to you. That is not what it means to me. I agree more with Blackstar. However, it is kind of silly to argue over the meaning slang. Language is living and has different meanings to different people depending on where they grow up, live, and the people they communicate with.
If it makes you happy replace biggest with hottest. It does not matter to me as that was not the point of my comment at all.

Biggest band in the world?
lol I think the Rolling Stones hold that up higher than GNR could ever be.
They were the hottest band of 1992. That's it.
Biggest/Hottest means the same thing to me.

So what I am getting from this thread is that Axl dissolved the partnership that was behind the band Guns n' Roses and created a new business entity to run behind Guns n' Roses. Duff and Slash joined this this entity as non-partners then later bugged out since they had better things to do.
I am kind of lost on what this has to do with Fortus. But that is okay. I'd rather stay out of that rabbit hole. You all keep on having fun.
