The best scenario IMO would be Adler playing AFD, Sorum UYI and Frank Chinese.

That's such a clusterfuck man! They cant carry on as a band with 3 drummers all the time, thats plain ridiculous. And it looks that way too, when theres always an other guy moving to the drums every few songs. How would it look to the public aswell, they would be ridiculed for it. Herp derp GNR 3 drummers. It would just be people going" get your shit fucking together guys, you cant use 3 drummers for fucks sake"

  2. Matt is not in guys. He just said yeah I used those sticks. Also I know this is REALLY CSI:GNR but I think if they wanted to spell an A with those sticks they would have laid the stick on top a bit more horizontally. Lol this is ridiculous I know. But it just doesn't seem deliberately placed like that to shape an A the way they did that.

Have you seen the latest posts of GNR on twitter? We have Duff's basses, Slash equipment and Dizzy's piano. If we don't have pictures of fortus and Frank gear I would totally especulate about Izzy and Adler.

Or because they know no one even knows who those "other guys" in the band are

  4. Anyone remember Axls comment about Izzy guesting with GNR in 06? He said Izzy wanted an outragerous amount of money just for those few songs. Maybe he is a bit too money focused and that's why he's not in. What would support this theory is also that Izzy said for those shows in 1993 he also only did the dates for the salary.

Maybe They will post it after april, They will post cryptic pic of the band + surprise guest (could be Izzy or Adler)

What I meant was, we wont see a full picture of the complete line up anywhere soon if it doesnt have adler and izzy, due to all the hateful reactions (they're already getting). This might dissolve when the "reunion" is in full swing and has been going on for some time, or if they indeed plan to have an album out with the hybrid line up. The closest thing to a line up announcement (I think) will be Axl introducing each member in Vegas.

Would certainly reach a bigger audience for promotion of the upcoming tour than a club show

That was my thinking behind it too. It would be a very "GNR" thing to do and get people talking, I am sure the day after it would be reported on several news stations on TV aswell. They are really upping the ante on the promotion afterall..

  7. Lets put the pieces together here...as slash would say: "all things considered", especially that Kimmel was the first media source Axl went to to talk about the reunion..it's possible GNR are doing an appearance on Kimmel April 1st under a different name. I know Axl likes his jokes and his April fools and his Halloween..I will be watching Kimmel on Friday if the TBA on the website remains

The "secret" gig that is rumored, well the "secret" part of it may just mean that it is unannounced and no one knows where, and not that it will only be viewed by a small group of people because it's a club. The plot is thickening indeed..

what the hell these guys are like fucking ninjas, stalking this thread. this post by black sabbath was only up for like 10 minutes and they caught it..

And by the way, when Izzy knows that 4/5 of the AFD guys are there and he's the one guy preventing it from being a full reunion, I am sure he will not want to be "that guy"

So it's Steven and Frank sharing the drumming? Or just Steven. No disrespect to Frank but I'd love Steven to do all drums. Would love to hear him on UYI songs

I think theres 3 possible scenarios

    1) they recruited and rehearsed with Frank so they have a backup drummer incase steven cant do it for some reason

    2) steven still doesnt want to learn and play UYI and CD songs

    3) Steven first has to prove himself to the band, limited to guest appearances until they know hes reliable

My guess is steven will only be playing the AFD songs, possibly all of them

  10. It's just a pic of some guy with the singer of adlers band. He told him that steven is back in the band. The comment where he said it was deleted from the pic, I checked and its still on his FB but without any comments now. We were lucky it got caught because the timespan until it was deleted was only 20~ min from the time it was posted

  11. Steven will be there. I have no doubts. Whatsoever. BUT Izzy is a big questionmark to me, maybe he himself wants to see how it goes, watch the show on youtube etc before he decides if it would be cool or if its still the trainwreck he left long ago. Would be interesting to know where Izzy lives right now too, maybe he sees all these billboards and has a change of heart at the last minute and wants to do a couple of songs. Maybe he wants to surprise the band themselves and show up at the backdoor in the middle of the show, saying lets roll. I think all of these are possible. I think chances are actually higher he will be there on the 2nd night of Vegas

Bands dismiss entire albums all the time. Especially ones that weren't that good. I just saw an interview with Slash the other day on here where he said about CD that it was cool to hear Axl's voice but the music "Is what it is". And the expression on his face would leave one to believe it is crap lol.

If they did play one, the title track would be the best choice I guess..

Yeah I know several bands that dismiss whole albums like Motley with the self titled or VH with Sammy. But remember Axl is Axl. And he worked on those songs far longer than any band before, so there really is no comparison.

Still not on board with CD songs being played.  Those were Axl's solo project just like Duff's and Slash's.. There is no difference between them playing a CD song and a Conspirators songs IMO.

You think that argument would fly for either Duff or Slash? If either approached Axl with this argument, shit would go down. You got to be realistic here. It's also a part of Slash and Duff being forthcoming to Axl. As a bonus, Slash has said that he actually thought the album was quote "very good", and specifically also mentioned the title track, which as rumours ( I think it was actually eddie money) say was one of the 2 songs they've rehearsed so far. But most of all you gotta realise this: Axl didnt spend a decade working on songs just to completely dismiss them later on like they never existed
