In a weird coincidence. The rapper Vince Staples, the one who was making the video in London for his song Guns N Roses calling for "kidnapping bad ass chicks" that was reported as a GN'R video. He's opening for GN'R in Coachella.
Scheduled to perform Saturday with headliner Guns N' Roses are Ice Cube, A$AP Rocky, Run the Jewels, Vince Staples and SZA.
Maybe he just loves GNR. Just like Kanye West has a song named Guns & Roses and Welcome To The Jungle, in which he references Axl

Doug and Corabi are a KILLER combo. Doug put out 2 true follows ups to WS self titled 1987

Isn't april 8th izzy's birthday? Maybe he'll make a special guest appearance on that day!
Dude you're right!! It'd be surprised if he wasn't there. This seems planned (lol), way too much of a big coincidence the first reunion show falls exactly on that day.

No one even mentioned Human Being here? That outro still gives me goosebumps.
I only listen to Human Being, SIDHY, Black Leather and Hair of the Dog from TSI

It is GNR suicide if they are mere guests. No one will then be interested in a non-Slash/Duff GNR concert.
Which leads me to believe Axl might retire after. Maybe a few closure gigs with Slash and Duff is all he wants, we don't know.
-
If Slash and Duff have merely signed up for nugnr, which appears to be the case judging by Pitman, Fortus and Frank's presence, you certainly know what the setlist will look like. It will be the exact same one on that shitty Vegas dvd minus the solo songs.
I think it'd hilarious if they opened a "reunion" show with Chinese Democracy.
Maybe that's why they're avoiding the word reunion which is widely used in the press, and opted for "regrouping" instead. Goddamn it Axl

I don't think people realize how important Alan was for the band, he did a lot for GNR and most importantly got them out of the gutter. GNR went downhill after he left in 1991, I'm glad he was gone only after the songwriting for UYI was done. The same phenomenon can be seen on GW too, Great White only released shit albums after he left.
I hope Alan wasn't talking about the songwriting Izzy was doing with Duff, but with the actual GNR right now. I know Alan and Izzy are good friends, and slash talked in some 2014-2015 interview about how he texts with Izzy a lot, so I'm very optimistic about an Izzy contribution to GNR.

They really do have enough deep cuts, Locomotive, Breakdown, The Garden, the AFD like Don't Damn Me and Perfect Crime or even the boogie of Bad Apples. All of those songs are great and didn't get enough spotlight even back then
-
He barely moved at all in 2014. Compare it to 2012, there's a noticeable difference in his stage presence. You can rehearse all you want in the house but it doesn't build up the same energy and stamina that you'd get being in live room and moving around whilst singing.
I think he needs to stop moving around. Stand still like Myles Kennedy or Adele. Would help his singing if he did that even if it hurts his stage presence.
Yeah and sounds awful in 2014. Sad to watch, haha.
I found he sounded pretty good in 2014 (when Duff was there)

Good doesn't equals "great". He's trying to be polite, that's it. He did say that Axl's vocals was great though.
Yea, and he didn't do that. He called it "really good" not just "good", as you are saying. You really wanna argue the difference between "really good" and "great"?
-
Why are you cherrypicking the lines? "So I listened to it.It's a really good record." Replace the "great" I quoted with "very good" then. It's all the same. He then also calls it a great statement by axl, that doesn't suddenly offset that he thinks its a "really good record".
-
He said it was the perfect record for him [Axl] and his voice was great, he never said he thinks it's great

I actually think Slash might be interested in playing some CD tracks, he did think it was a "great record" after all-

Am I missing something?
The only confirmed members of GNR atm is Axl, Slash and Duff. Correct?
Only one gig confirmed so far - Coachella, right?
Anything else confirmed?
It really is only confirmed that they all do the Coachella performance. It is up in the air if this means that Slash and Duff are now "members" of GNR.
-
After Coachella (and the possible tour) they either carry on with Slash and Duff as full fledged members, or Axl will retire GNR. I can't imagine axl going back to ashba or finding new guitarists once again.
-
That interviewer asking Slash about Axl really came out of nowhere; where did he hear they were on speaking terms again?
That has been bothering me aswell. Where the f*ck did that swedish guy get the information that axl and slash are friends? It only went mainstream AFTER that interview
-
could just be duff and slash jamming... they havnt played together in awhile have they?
Duff joined SMKC in Argentina in 2015 and Slash jammed again with Duff in September playing HTH, so it's been pretty recent
-
I'm sorry I didn't see that thread! And you're probably right I remember axl had some breath issues even back in 2002, but one can dream eh? That song deserves so much more recognition
-
Are they in the band though? I just assumed they would reunite for a few gigs, not that they're full fledged members
-
They never did this song live ONCE. It's one of the best on UYI imo and this would be a great opportunity to finally do it. Who's dreaming with me? Get In The Ring would excite the hell out of me aswell!
What about a new album?
