The build up to that show is without a doubt, one of my happiest days as a Gn'R fan. The rumors of the fake band playing the Troubadour, then the radio stations in LA saying something was cooking at Tower Records. Then the GN'R flyers that they started to place there. Then Fernando delivering pizza to the people that were camping in line (probably the best thing he did since he manages Gn'R :D ). Everything that night was magical. I'm from Argentina and I stood awake all night, trying to find every piece of information that I could.

Some of the best MyGNR CSI work was done that night, prior to the announcement. Really exciting times.

And then of course, the show itself. The most memorable Periscope stream in GNR's history happened that night thanks to the legend himself @Fede :)

This thread is a great nostalgic read:

Man, you are right @Fede was legendary.  I remember the hype leading up to it and MY GNR CSI putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, then hanging out in chat with everyone all night that night knowing Vegas was a couple of weeks away, then getting to meet most everyone out there.  Amazing time indeed!

Anyone else getting the impression that they’ve hit some kind of serious internal drama in regard to the next album? Maybe they can’t agree on the sound/direction....Again? 🤦🏻‍♂️

This would mean that that you have been drinking the Kool Aid that they have actually been working on some sort of new album (by they I mean the band as it is now).  There's no indication that Axl is remotely interested in a new release.

Again. It's not Ticketmaster. I got all my US and Canada Ticketmaster bought tickets refunded without having to do anything.

How is that?  you have to do something...other than for cancelled shows they don't just refund tickets, you have to ask for a refund.  So, you either had tix to shows that got cancelled or you did something.

There's literally too much wrong with your comment for me to bother to correct. If it bothers you so much just avoid it.

Your comment is a joke. Moving on.

Really?  Sorry you are butt hut by a little criticism and comparative analysis of a band and their management.   It is literally impossible to defend GnR or Fernando right now.

Anyone have the 2016 Cincinnati shirt, that you yourself bought at the show?  If so, can you please post detailed pics?  Thanks

I have a 2016 shirt, but not the cincy specific one, I have the one with the grey bullet logo and the tour dates on the back.  Probably not what you are looking for.

Because they are still playing stadiums?... good enough for you?

I believe they did sell out (or close enough) their arena dates? Though again no doubt through reducing prices and such.

At least going by their tour page on Wikipedia.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_in_This_Lifetime..._Tour

Just look at how heavily they've toured NA in 4 years, no wonder fatigue would set in somewhat.

Uh no.....they can "play" stadiums all they want, but it is well documented this tour is not selling well at all in stadiums in the US

GNR had not done a NA arena tour in a sellout capacity since the 90's. It made no sense to jump them straight to all arenas (I could've understood some arenas in big markets).

And as of GNR a NA stadium act, see Metallica as their closest comparison doing also NA stadium tour (and proving you don't need to sellout dates to be successful). But again they had lightly toured NA before that tour.

Currently I'd say GNR can easily do arenas every year in the US or do stadiums every couple years. It's all about supply and demand, and currently GNR have flooded the US market a bit.

But they're still a stadium act no doubt.

How are they a "stadium act no doubt"?  You offer no supporting evidence of this statement at all.

Well, I don't doubt him there. They are not going to be pissing away the money and cancel. Of course they are going to postpone.

I don't think the decision is up to GnR.  It appears they are contractually obligated to play the shows they have scheduled unless the promoter or whoever booked the shows cancels/reschedules (or the govt prohibits the show from occurring at the time it is scheduled).  This is seemingly why they went ahead and played the mexico date.
