  1. Just to throw another spanner in the works, I read that Duff said that they were all still talking all these years. Not often but through royalties & music they had no choice but to communicate. I understand Live Era' was through intermediaries but it was more like Duff was saying that we kind of always knew we would be back together (the 3 of us) at some point because we have always kept in contact. My point is that we know Izzy was part of that contact over the years as he has performed on both sides yet we didn't think Slash & Axl were communicating at all. Then again, Slash did say a couple of years ago that the last time he spoke with Axl was 1996 so I'm confused.

Final point, we have the 3 back & Izzy clearly want's a bigger cut which he may be entitled to depending but having said that he did not really go through  the UYI tour & I think that is where they are coming from. This feels like UYI Tour take 2.

  2. Guys, we are witnessing one of the most unexpected rekindled relationships in music history with Axl & Slash. This proves anything can happen & it takes a bit more than just money, its not like any of them were struggling. I always thought Duff & Axl were a chance before 2010 hotel meet but none of us thought Slash surely. So with that said.....:

Stage 1: New guns with Izzy - 2006

Stage 2: New guns with Duff - 2010

Stage 3: Axl, Slash, Duff 2015

Stage 4: Axl, Slash, Duff - Adler Guest 2016

Stage 5: Axl, Slash, Duff - Adler & Izzy guest

Have faith, we will never have guns of 85-90, 5 guys won't go around doing a nightclub tour but we will get all 5 back at some point albeit with Dizzy, Frank & Melissa.

I think the openers could very well be Wolfmother and Rose Tattoo.

    What about.....

All day MCG Festival: Rose Tattoo, Wolfmother, Silverchair Then:

GnR set & encore with Aussie special guests: Anderson on Nice Boys, Stockdale on By The Sword & Angus Young on Whole Lotta Rosie/Riff Raff

    OMG

Not sure what Silverchair could do though.....

Yeah I think it's more bitterness over the change in direction of the Axl's band. It's a sign that for want of a better word the industrial stuff is left behind. Look at the band, it's a hard rock band.

Pitman was very much at the heart of the more progressive CD songs. But ITW wasn't a hit. People like the dynamics of Madagascar but it's the keyboard sound they don't.

So the writing was on the wall.

He might have wanted to stay but really he doesn't fit. And he's pretty flamboyant with the towels.

It's really over to Slash and Duff now. There's nothing stopping them now they can record a new towel free record.

Can someone please post a 'towel' clip incident. I missed the in joke & feel at a loss without it.

Since this reunion occurred and remembering all the other GnR eras, I seem to notice that not all band members share equal mutual relationships. I know that Axl, Slash and Duff feel wird and its an unknown road ahead so far but amidst all those things their relationship and stage chemistry and presence is the most distinguished so far. I have even seen that Slash had acknowledged Frank bu hugging him in Vegas. (If you recall even Ashba was 'best friends' with Tommy...). The point being in all eras there was some kind of mutual connection, but in this new one I cannot grasp the different worlds..what stands out is Slash relationship with Dizzy... I don't recall him befriending him even during UYI (you could see Gilby and Dizzy)..was it because he was against having a keyboard player in the band or something else.. I don't know.. why is that? Not all connections are active.. Like Dizzy and Frank or Dizzy and Fortus.. Even Slash and Fortus seem to be having more connections since reunion on stage and Slash and Frank on that Instagram pic..

    Any thoughts?

*Feel free to move this topic to wherever it belongs...

Dizzy & DJ definitely had a good relationship especially when drinking Jager. Axl is good with all & definitely has been good with Duff since 2010 & now very close again with Slash you would expect. The rest are musicians & agree, I don't see how Slash can really coordinate with Dizzy when he is back left on stage. It is all a working relationship with the exception of Axl, Duff & Slash IMO.
