Why would Slash be getting work done on some old Jubes when he's more than likely got a tonne of old hot rodded Marshalls kicking around ready to go?

Stoner Rock, this should be right up my alley, someone gimme a reccomendation, whats the greatest fuckin' stoner rock album out there, whats the Sgt Peppers of Stoner Rock, I need to give this shit its day in court.
Kyuss- Welcome To Sky Valley is considered THE stoner rock album. I would also recommend Fu Manchu- The Action Is Go...a lot of Stoner rock bands are generic Sabbath rip offs who overuse their fuzz pedals but theres some awesome bands in the genre.

Can't know for certain but he was playing Mesa MK 3 in that era for sure. On the back cover of Appetite theres a Boogie in the left hand corner and in the new Its So Easy video he's playing that head live.

Hey thanks for the invite! This time of year is very hectic with work including the weekends so i haven't got alot of spare time, can't really commit to anything but i'll do my best to try putting something together. I put a few short clips of my Mesa Mark V 25 up a few months ago in the Gear thread which you can use....i'd only had the head about a week though and i've dialed it in far more since then and it's not my best playing either haha

Yeah not the greatest company to be lumped in with, Motley Crue, Def Leppard and what was the shite playing in the background?

I think it's great....also it's funny seeing another 90's "alternative" rocker professing his love for GNR

My Grandad was a hard bastard from Bermondsey sarf London and rocked the robe on a regular basis, had his initials on the chest and everything. I've wanted one ever since but just have never got round to owning one.

Maaan that guitar sounds great, alot like a hollow body....i assume Malcom loved that sort of sound but those guitars were just too big for him so he improvised. Weird choice of guitarist to show off the guitar though.

I wish that weird old bloke asked him at the China Exchange thing, he looked like he could snap at any moment and that might have done the trick.

I played in a band once and my bandmate wanted to play a Maroon 5 song. Needless to say I immediately quit the band. True story.

On a breezy day you could smell the meth labs

Axl has more pressing things to worry about anyway, like how to make this years Halloween tree better than last years.

I suppose but it was there on Appetite ( thinking Paradise City and You're Crazy) so it's not like it was a new sound for them.

He never wore Che Guevara's tshirts. That's too much for a poser like Axl.
Because posers would never wear a Guevara shirt

Yes. Though I must say I'm a bit tired of it myself but only because its The Stones album that I'd say, along with Sticky Fingers and their debut, that I've listened to the most.
Sticky pisses on Exile....and from a great height

I don't like Exile...is that blasphemous?

It’s a composite maybe. Media, internet fans, haters. It’s universal.
But “I’ll kick your ass like I said that I would” - reference to Get in the Ring rant.
It’s about Mick Wall maybe in part.
“Screams from the haters
gotta a nice ring to it
I guess every superhero needs his theme music”
i personally think its Niven, if it was about Slash Axl would say so

It’s mostly about overcoming, self righteous stuff though. Only SOD, TWAT have a sadness to them. It’s basically held back rage. Not really depressing is it. Made by someone who was depressed maybe.
There’s also dark like Holy Bible and depressing like The Cure.
Eminem albums are depressing really.
But who is Sorry about...it puzzles me inn the same way as why didnt Martika become as big as Taylor Swift.

That mid 90s SoCal 'Punk" scene was always weird to me.....I just remember Blink 182 getting called punk and therefore the word has meant nothing to me since.
