No. In this SPECIAL GIG that takes place in ST. LOUIS, they play a special setlist they never did before and it consists of only HATER songs, specifically those that were written during the breakup years by both factions: Axl and his CD songs, Slash and his Snakepit songs, Duff/Slash/Matt and their VR songs.

Axl is 4 hours late and as soon as he sees people pulling up their cellphones, he spends an entire hour going into the audience and personally taking care of each cellphone. Climbs back on stage with 3 bags full of technology.

Slash plays all CD songs solos distorted and change them to make them unrecognizable. Summons Scott Weiland back from death and both dance the dance of the black crow to the rhythm of 'Slither'. Axl screams on the mic calling Yoda to come save him from the dark spirits that just took the stage. Yells that Slash and Scott have been replaced by a different soul. Then Beta jumps on stage, lights some incense and dances a Brazilian ritual of air purification.

Duff face palms, opens his book and starts reading his columns to the crowd, in an attempt to make things normal again but Axl goes back on stage wearing devil horns and starts singing Highway To Hell. Then Grandpa Angus duck walks with his guitar and plays an 18 minute long solo. People in the audience fall asleep and become oblivious to the crazy shit that's going on.

Slash wakes up from his temporary death and jumps over Axl, pulls his hair and throws him on the floor, while Duff is in the background singing Beggars & Hangers on. The 'Freak Show', who are all happy and high on drugs, think this is an invitation for them to go onstage, so they all climb up and dance some kind of Spice Girls choreography. Sasha, only covered in white sheet, make ballerina moves, grabs the mic and sings 'Material Girl'. Some nut girl in the audience gets furious and pulls the white sheet from her, leaving her totally naked. Sasha runs backstage and the whole Freak Show follows.

Axl and Slash are still on the floor :bitchfight: over Slash's book. Axl screams he's gonna burn that shit down, so he lights a match and sets the book on fire, then throws it in the middle of the stage. Slash and Duff then go backstage and come back pulling a Walmart cart full of Chinese Democracy CDs, dump it next to Slash burning book and start playing frisbee with them, smash them on the floor and jump on them.

Axl grabs the mic and says: "this is it! GET IN THE RING MOTHERFUCKERS!" Changes the lyrics and insults all former members, blame them for everything and when he's done, he smashes mic to the ground and screams "Thanks to the lame ass reunion shows I want no more! Take me home, Angus!". A helicopter descends into the stage, Stevie Young is the pilot. Cliff Williams, who's sitting inside, extends his arm to Axl and Axl jumps in. Helicopter flies away to Australia. Never to return.

A riot ensues. The crowd destroys the venue. Evil horns flash in the dark. All hell breaks loose. Satan gets ya. Hell's bells.

Guns N Roses break up for the second time.

China gets a democracy in 2050.

Still no follow up to the "Chinese Democracy" album.

hahaha omg I laughed harder than I should!! That would be what I call epic :rofl-lol:

  3. So following @thedemocracyrose idea of rating the top 5 concerts, why not rate the top 5 songs?

    1- Back in Black
(the 'sings it like he means it' says it all)

    2- Thunderstruck
    (those screams, that rasp )

    3-For Those About to Rock
(his voice just fits this song like a glove)

    4- Rock or Bust
(he gives a whole new life to this song. Everyday I find myself singing it)

    5-Hells Bells
(because it's inhumane. He has to be a god to pull this of so perfectly)

    1) Lisbon

    2) Lisbon

    3) Lisbon

    4) Lisbon

    5) Lisbon

Simply because of the shock and awe from hearing the magnificent AXL/DC beast for the first time. For having my favorite living frontman, fronting my most beloved band. For seeing an iconic band rising like a Phoenix with a replacement singer after tragic circumstances, for the second time. For seeing Angus, Cliff, Chris and Stevie determined to live up to AC/DC's reputation and for seeing Axl determined to do right by his heroes - it was a performance that Axl just blew out of the water, and he surprised everyone who doubted him - AC/DC and GN'R fans alike, the press, the music industry, the whole damn world.

For Axl filling in the shoes of two legendary frontmen and adding to his own legend - in fact, this was one of the most significant events in Axl's long road to rehabilitation in public opinion; in all the years after returning from his long exile, through many long, hard years in which he has had only mixed success. For Axl bringing his A-game and confidence to an unfamiliar, challenging environment under enormous pressure, even after having to sing while sitting on a wheelchair with a broken foot; this just has to be one of his finest moments.

For Axl sounding incredible and unbelievable, doing BOTH Bon and Brian material with shocking brilliance, and giving us screams that we hadn't heard in a long, long time, on almost all the songs - he just shut up all the critics. For hearing Hells Fucking Bells and Back in Fucking Black sung so magnificently. For being the first time we heard so many different songs that Axl had never done before all together and for the first time, and for that alone, Lisbon can never be forgotten. For Axl having the crowd eating out his hands and showing one of the most devoted and die-hard fan bases out there, a charismatic, humble, funny, and respectful side of him. For the spontaneous AXL!! AXL!! AXL!! chants from a crowd going isane, after recovering from their shock of how good Axl/DC sounded on the first few songs. For Axl responding and telling the crowd to shout ANGUS!! ANGUS!! ANGUS!! instead.

For the bloody awesome experience of watching the whole damn thing on @Freaka's periscope, with a view from the bloody front row. For watching this incredible event in Rock N' Roll history with thousands of other fans, including Duff McKagan himself, in shared sheer disbelief and immense excitement and yes, overwhelming relief that it wasn't a disaster but a glorious triumph instead. For the fucking Guardian giving it 5/5 stars and the universal acclaim from the media.

Nothing, nothing, nothing that came after, even with the band's tighter performances and displays of chemistry, Axl walking about and commanding the stage like a Boss, or the great, great deep cuts that we got to hear, can match that first Lisbon show.

You almost brought tears to my eyes, damn it!! After reading this amazing text, I felt even more lucky for have been there, seeing history in making with my own eyes! I was so nervous when the crew was setting up the stage, just praying to the rock gods for his voice to be ok. And then he comes and and kills it! Rasp all the way, the crowd surrendering to him, the 'Axl, Axl' chants, that FTATR with a 93' voice... I felt so much pride! Unforgettable and unbelievable, that's for sure

    But here's my list
    1- LISBON, of course!!
    2- London
    3- Marseille
    4- Aarhaus
    5- Seville

WRONG. Glam Axl was beautiful and he's pretty in all these pictures you posted. Not that I don't appreciate what came after, but girly make up wearing Axl was simply gorgeous, ridiculous hair and all.

extremely impressed how some of you can make references from portions of songs here back to exact years before as to resemblance of voice... :)

My friends make fun of me for that. When I came from Lisbon show I was telling them how it was and I said something like 'in this song his voice sounded exactly 93' Axl'... they laugh of me until this day  :smiley-confused2:

I know, I know and I can't wait. But due to time zones, there will be no more live stream evenings.

I really look forward to seeing Axl's interaction with Slash on stage now as he can finally move

I know, I'm gonna miss that too, it was so nice arriving home from work and have Axl/DC at each 3 days. It sure put an highlight in a shitty day. They fuckin should move to Europe already!!
But I'm really looking forward to the dawns too, to set the alarm clock to 5am, it will remind me the craziness for the first reunion shows

    What does he say exactly?

I hear "next wife" but Im more deaf than Brian.

Wonder why he's mentioning wife, ex-wife so much, will we have an announcement soon? <_<

Erin is his only wife or ex-wife, so lol, glad to know he's still into Erin

That is interesting... Yeah, that's the bandana he wore yesterday.

I wonder if these kids play with Axl a lot. Does he feel like a dad or like a grandpa to them? :P

Now that you said it I think I'm hearing 'next' too, so maybe Brian still is more deaf than us haha (sorry Brian, you'll be ok, don't worry )

Nah, I don't think he meant it that way, he just needed to say something before the songs and once he'd started with the joke about future ex-wife, he continued with this. :shrugs:

(or maybe as a reaction that all his ex-women started to be very active on social media and stuff like that lately)

I'd rather he dedicated song to us for this thread :max:

(I wonder what song it would be )

Or maybe he spends 3 hours every night talking to Erin on the phone, with a brand new love story and a refound love and  things like this:
    '-ok, let's hang up now'
    '-no, you hang up'
    '-no, you'
'-ok, at 3 we hang up at the same time'

    (ha! just kidding)

For the song, he will someday, he can't escape to all the lust for him running in this thread. 'Let me put my love into you', I bet.

some sort of conclusion to what is a task of great magnitude done .... with 100/10 stars given.

I havent had any sort of relationship with axl prior to this other than that he sang on a couple of albums that i have and that afd is a all through amazing album. Lately its perhaps of looking and finding and hearing various covers that they did of ac/dc and finding them .. ok ... and thinking that he sings that with real passion .. he must be a bit of an ac/dc fan ( never known that about him) . And also perhaps pickin up on the odd gossip about him... and all that was about that record that took about a hundred years or so to do ... by the way ... the title track on that is realy good i think.

But..and i dont realy know what to say.... would like to go into some sort of analysing detail of it ... but i quess it will do with: absolutely fuckin awesome brilliant, the sheer professionalism and talent and dedication that it took to pull this of ... To be able to sound and look and feel anfter 9!! NINE!! ... shows ... i say that because i feel that after London they have sounded like a absolutely homogeneous band, its been set , they got it now, its all there, the bits and pieces ... they sound ac/dc-thight and he sings Like Bon and Like Brian but with Axls voice and with that he throws in his own passion for the songs here and there and makes it come to life like it hasnt been in many many years .... i have to say to be honest.

But ... to do all this in nine shows .. stadium gigantic shows on the stage production perhaps the biggest out there ... getting into the band and the boys and all that .. is incredible...nothing else..because you would think when you take on a new band member .. singer!!  ... you perhaps go and do some smaller shows just to get the feel for it all ...  get the band together..He had to do it on the biggest stages there are ...and ifront of a world were many were just waiting and waiting ...and waiting  for him to fuck up ... well he didnt.

And they did .. they did it in nine shoes.... make it great

And also hats of to ac/dc Angus... Stevie, Chris, and cliff ... The whole ac/dc machine ... who i bet once Angus had made it clear that he wants this guy .. that they took him in and welcomed him  and gave him love and support .... theres just no mistakin it when you see the band on stage ...

so... and therefore ... the sum of it all is that before this i was a ac/dc fan ... they are my band.. allways been ... and now they still are but Axl rose is a singer person and performer that i have a total new relation to ... and its one of admiration and respect ...

and to think that any other singer person people man ...could have done this ... no way ... this was the ONLY  way to do it -.---(thanx angus)

the man is good...and angus is god

We should be able to give more than one like to posts like this!

Another thing is Axl really loved his last lineup before Slash and Duff returned...and out of all the people who did the right thing it was DJ F'n Ashba who said you know what, I can't be a part of this lineup Axl...the fans want you and Slash. They want Duff, they want that feeling of excitement back from the 90's. I'm stepping aside, this isn't my thing, you guys belong together

and freakin Richard and Frank are over twiddling their thumbs when all they had to say is hey Axl we get it, this reunion will be a big deal and you guys should do it right...we're out.

If this is what happened and we had a delusional Axl wanting to keep DJ instead of Slash or along with Slash and DJ had the humility to step back, seriously I apologize to him for all the hate I had. This is the kind of shit you do when you're a real fan, so if true, props to him.

About the other two, well I guess the paycheck is good, and let's say it's not entirely their fault...Axl can go to them and say 'thanks for your services, but this is a reunion, not your place', but I guess he chooses not to...
