Marquee '87. I don't know why, it doesn't have footage or anything, but the band, that voice, that attitude...it's the Guns N' Roses I love
Honorable mention to Ritz, Paris '92, Argentina '93 and Freddie Mercury set.

I'm excited for both and after the Lisbon show I was feeling very, very exhilarated with Axl/DC. But then they posted that video from Troubadour and that part when Slash and Axl are walking together, talking and smiling warmed so much my heart that, yeah, GN'R reunion first and foremost.

I'm sure he loves you too. I think that the 'salute' you was just him adopting the last portion of the phrase, 'For those about to Rock, we 'salute' you'.
Yeah I realised that but, you know, I prefer to answer 'I love you' because we are more close friends than a 'I salute you' haha Anyway, I'm glad you're sure he loves me, I'm not the only one thinking that anymore

Hey guys what a night! I'm still speechless, but I already had time to take some rest and took all the mud and bad smell I had in me (a mixing of wet clothes, beer, weed and sweat) with a good shower ha! Review time!
Well I don't even know where to start...But first the rain! Really What the hell? Portugal is a sunny country but yesterday there was the flood. Nothing that made AC/DC, GN'R and rock fans go home. I arrived at the venue at 4 pm and stayed there, on my feet, with all the rain and wind until the end of the show.
About Axl, that god of the Hell: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Really, you can't imagine the power in his voice and the fire in his look. The crowd went to their sha na na na na na na na na na knees everytime he yelled. Everything was unbelievable, there was some songs where he was absolutely perfect, and it was almost all of them. He hit every note, every scream, that rasp...dude sang and screamed his ass off. He may be sit, but he proved right there to the nay-sayers why he is one of the best frontmen ever.I could say all the show and all songs were THE highlight, and I wouldn't be lying, but apart of the classics, 'Shoot to Thrill' and 'For Those About to Rock' were from another dimension. 'For Those About to Rock' we got 93' Axl. No kidding: that rasp almost brought tears to my eyes. I just close my eyes and let myself go with that voice that I love so much, incredible. And 'Shoot to Thrill', well, the crowd surrendered to him, there's a part where he does a scream and everyone went nuts and automatically started to clap and give him the Rock N' Roll horns and saying 'omg', 'wow, did you hear that?'. The minute the song ended everyone started chanting 'Axl, Axl, Axl'. And they did this in other songs, until he just say something like 'I think you mean Angus'. But goddman Axl conquered the crowd. The guy next to me, during the waiting was always saying bad things about him, but he was one of the first who chanted Axl, and cheer him all around, I couldn't help but laugh. Just for you see how our boy became a darling to the portuguese crowd and even media, on my way to Lisbon and the venue and before the show I heard people badmouthing him, talking how unreliable he was, how junkie he was, how he wasn't voice anymore, but coming back from the concert everyone was saying how great he was and how they were mindblowed with his voice. Right there my gunner heart melt and sure it was fulfill, I felt so proud for him!
But the show itself, even if it was no Axl, was marvelous. Angus is a fuckin god, and he sure knows how to interact with the crowd. The band was tight, the energy on stage and on the crowd was unbelievable and I'm so so happy I went. It was a golden ticket, it was historical, Axl was on fire, the band too, the crowd...
Leaving home at 10 am, being on my feet for 8 hours and arrive home at 6 am today, was so worth it. Thank you Axl, thank you AC/DC for this experience.
P.S. On my way out of the venue, Fernando just passed by me, I called him and just said that he could congratulate Axl, because it was a hell of a show and his voice was amazing. He was a really nice guy. Props to himP.S. 2 - I have like two vids and bad pics I took with my potato, bad quality of course but I'll post them later.

A good article from a portuguese trendy site. With my translation, sorry for any mistake
http://www.nit.pt/article/04-27-2016-axldc-no-inferno-nao-se-come-quinoa
'Axl/DC: in the hell they don't eat quinoa
I do not understand the histeria for the coming of Axl Rose to Portugal with AC/DC. Everyone is behaving like they were to see Violetta and the argentinian kid didn’t show up. AC/DC are more than that. Now that you already know that you can return your ticket, tell me one thing: why the hell would you do that? What did you want? That there was no concert? To see Brian Johnson out of tune, because he couldn’t hear himself? To see Brian go irreparably def for your entertainment? (ok, that could have some macabre historical interest). Did you want to see AC/DC on their prime? I’m sorry, but for that you have to ask Delorean to Doc and go to the 70’s watch Bon Scott.
I understand the disappointment, I also wanted to see Brian, but I don't understand the hate for Axl Rose, as if he were the worst choice in the world. Dude has a booming voice, he's a staunch AC/DC fan and he covers the band any longer than he sings 'Paradise City'. He's a good choice.
Do you not want Axl because he's an asshole? I don't think there's any GN'R fan that doesn't acknowledge that. And if there is, these are the guys who think that the Chinese Democracy band was better than the line-up with Slash and, of course, we don't want to have anything to do with that people.
Axl is an asshole, yes, but so what? Isn't it supposed that rockstars cristalize the fantasies of excesses that we can't do in our miserable, mundane lives? How do you want the rockstars now? Well behaved, vegetarian, no salt, no gluten and served with soy and quinoa kids? Like Grizzly Bear (who I actually like) that were support Bernie Sanders and the only rockstar in that pic was the 74 old man.
Who did you want that came to Lisbon to sing AC/DC songs about thunders, dynamite and trinitrotoluene? The nice guy from the cover band? The hot chick from Youtube? The guy from 'Idols' (like Queen did) ? Or the asshole and legend itself that is Axl Rose?
What's the worst that can happen? A nervous breakdown from Axl on stage, followed by one of his classic and angry rants, calling out everything and everyone, blaming the world and the universe for nobody understand him? Wow, that would be amazing. That would be what I call historical. Axl is Rock N' Roll, he's the danger that anything can happen. But even if nothing strange happen (as I believe) what we will see will be History. Lisbon is going to see the first concert ever of Axl Rose as frontman of AC/DC. In 20 years, when Angus and the others are with Bon Scott in the blackjack tables of the Hell, the Earth will talk about 'that AC/DC tour with the lead singer of Guns N' Roses'. In that day only the ones who were there can tell the story.
With Brian's medical inability, the choice was between cancel the tour or find a substitute. Angus decided as he always did until now, when he saw himself with the absence of Bon, Phil and Malcolm: the AC/DC train kept a rollin, no matter what. I believe that the original is always better. But as we can not resuscitate Bon Scott to sing "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" I think that we are well served with that beast of the hell that is Axl Rose.'

No, just CIA agents.
Now seriously, there's no papparazzis here, like at the airport or hotels... nobody really cares.- 1

Truth is I don't think anyone hates CD. I hated at first, I was 17, just had found GN'R and listening to Chinese was like 'wtf is this?'. But as I said it started growing in me and sometimes I listen to it. I don't look at it as a GN'R record, I don't listen the GN'R I love in there, for me is Axl solo, but it's a good album. Brilliant lyrics, nice melodies, but way overproduced and I miss drums. It has crap like If the World but also awesomeness like TWAT. I was never opposed to Slash and Duff playing it (or demand 'if they're playing this, they should play VR' ) and I'm really glad they did it. The title track never did anything for me but now I'm starting digging it.
I feel that my love for CD will just grow with time. -

Go find the "demos" on youtube of the songs, they are way better than the album version, especially catcher in the rye
Ill even help you out on that one
I never really get into it. It's a good album indeed, at first I hated it, but then it started growing in me. I like 3/4 songs, hate 3/4 also and the rest is just meh. And I have a love/hate relationship with Catcher. Love the lyrics, the melody, it's inspired in my favourite book, but then it's everything so overproduced, including Axl's vocals. I don't know, I never had that 'wow' moment while listening to it

Same here! But as no one is around me I can snake dance in my chair the same way Axl snake dances in Dave's throne

Axl and Queen
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted
As a huge Queen fan and as a huge GN'R fan I really can say: NO fuckin way. I love Axl but he hasn't the sensitiveness that is needed to sing Queen songs. I can see him in songs like 'We will rock you' or 'Radio Gaga' but songs like 'Killer Queen' just no. I would hate it.
