  1. I like CD a lot! I admit it's not perfect, but I appreciate that you can feel an actual person behind the songs. It's personal, emotional and seems sincere. Good songwriting as in beautiful melodies and lyrics imho.

Slaxl interpretation for you all: since Axl never slept on the floor again after that, this obviously means Axl slept in Slash's bed from then on.

(Or maybe that was Slash's plan right from the start...)

    Well done, chairman!

  3. The Frusciante thread got me thinking about fiercly underrated masterpieces. Grandiose albums that rule your world, but nobody else seems to care or has even taken notice.

    Here's my list:

    1.) The Gutter Twins - Saturnalia (2008)

    2.) SOHN - Tremors (2014)

3.)  Brand New - The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me (2006)

    4.) Fever Ray - Fever Ray (2009)

    5.) John Frusciante - The Empyrean (2009)

    Honorable mention:

    Guns n' Roses - Chinese Democracy (2008)

I love it. Most people don't care.

This is one of my all time favorites. A true masterpiece. I love it! So underrated.

  5. I'm a music fan, but "total familiarty" narrows it down to a handful acts.

Tori Amos (my all time favorite, I guess. I know almost everything, b-sides, live versions, covers, etc. Spent hours and hours listening to her stuff. Love most albums fiercly, with a few exceptions: adp, aats, christmas)

    Guns n Roses

    PJ Harvey

    Depeche Mode

    Trouble Over Tokyo/Sohn (New Single)

Despite not being a superfan I'm probably familiar with most of Metallica's songs.

  6. I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but I'm filled with a rush of excitement and nostalgia right now!

I saw Gn'R three times so far. In 92' in Vienna. It was spectacular! I was fourteen and begging my stepmom to be my chaperone so I could go. Nobody else would do it. I guess she wanted me to be on her good side and succeeded immensly . I was so excited I hardly slept the night before. Additionally I got introduced to Soundgarden and Faith No More that night. Encore that night.

In 93' I skipped school so I could go to Vienna to see the concert. I was at the front row and had the best time! Catching drumsticks and Duff's cigarette stub. Haha. :headbang:Audio @Praterstaduim 93'

I didn't care too much for the show in 2006, despite people around here praising the 2006 era. Even with Izzy there it felt a little "cold" or mechanical. ( Or missing Slaxl maybe.)

    Looking forward to 2017!

  7. I am excited! Still having my fingers crossed for Vienna. But I did a quick research an it's only a four hour drive to Bologna from where I live! Ha! It looks like I will see them anyway!

To repeat myself: this is exciting!

I saw them in 92' and 93' in Vienna and 06' at Nova Rock. 92' was my first rock concert ever. I was 14  and additionally I got introduced to Soundgarden and Faith No More. In 93' I was skipping school to see GNR. I was at the front row. Yeah! Great times!
