With Rocket Queen it's not so much Myles singing per se. The song loses its multi dimensional character, because Myles doesn't seem to fully understand its complexity. There are so many layers of different emotions throughout the song completely lost by Myles interpretation.

I too believe it is about Slash. But I don't see why that would be a reason not to play it live.

Don't worry. Obviously there are some junkie stories in Slash's book, but he keeps it in line and focuses on interessting stuff. You learn a lot about how  especially the Appetite songs came together. A good read.

I think it is obvious they (Gn'R) have plans for the future. Melissa too writes something about being excited for the months and years to come.

Yes, he did. Iirc a Rolling Stone interview ca. 2000. He also revealed in that interview that Slash was "negatively seductive".

I've heard a lot of stories though.  One friend got twins after a one nigjt stand using protection. A lot of my friends are struggling to get pregnant.

Slash writes in his book about selling all his gear and guitars for drug money right before the recording of AfD. I found that almost equally disturbing considering how much  his music obviously meant to him.
