I wonder if Izzy,Steven, Axl, Duff and Slash ever celebrated each other's birthdays recently. 😀🤔
Perhaps that question deserves its own thread?
I'm joking, please don't!

Still trying to figure out if the low voice he used at the end of YCBM in Melbourne ‘22 was his actual live vocals or he was singing over a backing track
If anyone was in the front few rows of the pit you can see his neck muscles moving when he's singing. I would imagine any backing track to make him sound more powerful would have been recorded long ago not be in the low voice.

What did you think of him?
Just really nice and down to earth. He played football (American) at the University of Miami and I went to school there. We talked more about that than anything else.

Rock "The Dwayne" Johnson also seems like a nice bloke. I doubt there's people out there wanting to try and harm him.
I'm a few inches taller than him. I have nothing left to achieve.
He doesn't just seem like it, he is. I've met him and know several others who have also. He is REALLY nice to kids that are fans of his.

You guys are talking like “celebrities” walking around alone are common thing. On contrary. Everytime i had the opportunity to see a famous person in public (or watch them @ YouTube), they were always with 2 or 3 persons from their staff, like an assistant and or security guys.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson used to work out at a gym open to the public and drive himself around south Florida after he was very famous. I don't know if he still does but he did into the mid 2000s for sure.

This. Age 30 is also when creativity (often associated with youth) seems to start declining for a lot of people. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that UYI came out shortly before Axl turned 30, and then that was the last original album he ever released until ChiDem was finally ripped out of his hands in 2008.
Pretty sure Beta also said in that 2001 interview of hers that Axl was considering retirement after the UYI tour, but then changed his mind when Steph dumped him.
Old at heart but I'm only 28...

Even though I'm way past thirty, thirty to me is still the cut off line. Not exactly, of course, but yeah. You're young until you're thirty, then you're old. After that, it's just different shades of the same thing.
I don't need to redefine what old is in order to keep myself from feeling old.
I'm old.
It is what it is.
The cutoff to me is when I saw college girls in bikinis and felt like I needed to look away because they looked like kids.

I wouldn't say it's that rehearsed where they walk. It's just a given that they try to cover the stage and not always all be on the same spot. But you see that Axl always touches whomever person he stands behind, so they don't turn around and run into him. Though it still happens, that something unexpectedly happens, like he throwing his mic stand to the back and almost hitting Slash, but who kinda expected that to happen though and stopped, so the mic stand could pass, before walking on like what happened in Munich last year, what I just noticed this weekend when I was watching my videos for the first time. Axl didn't notice. But someone in the crew and they seemed to have laugh about it.
It's not choreographed to the level of a dance routine but if you run videos side by side of the same song you will find that all of them tend to be in the same area of the stage at the same point in the song every time.
Duff only has one mic stand. If they wanted randomness he'd have 2 or 3 so he could always reach one for backing vocals.

Yeah the rest of them would be stupid not to listen to what the singer tells you he can do and what he can't do. He's the driving force and out there fronting the act. But if your drummer is telling he can't go full bang on for more than 3 songs, you have to take that into consideration too. You don't know that shit unless the guy is in the conversation about the set list. Those alts you see on the set list are probably there more in case something goes wrong with presenting the main songs more then being on there if Axl feels like he wants to switch it up. But there's probably technical issues where those songs actual fit into the set list and are doable for the crew.
Watch them on the stage. Not only do you get the same songs, they are standing and moving the same way. A little off your game and you have Axl and Slash running into each other. You have lights in Axl's eyes. More to it then a couple of guys or one guy coming up with that.
Very good point at the end. For those who say Axl doesn't rehearse. The entire show is rehearsed. They don't just wander around the stage randomly. Aside from keeping them from crashing into each other or getting whacked by the bottom of the mic stand, for the audience you don't want Axl, Slash, Duff and Richard all together on the far left or far right of the stage.
I'm sure if we went back and reviewed video from the UYI tour, Axl's runs across the stage were in similar spots in the songs and in the same direction from show to show. The spotlight operator has to have some clue as to where he is going to go and when.

Anyone been to the venue before?
Is it worth such a premium price
Guns N' Roses
Ticket Prices: $450 | $370 | $250 | $170 | $100
Friday, September 15 | 7:00PM
Hard Rock Live
Tickets go on sale February 24 at 10:00AMYes. I saw them there in 2021 (and I'll be there for this show). It's a great venue for a concert. The sight lines are great, the acoustics are great and the way the seating levels are stacked keeps all the seats as close as possible. The stage is not as big as an arena setup so it has a level of intimacy to the show as well.
This show is 100% going to sell out. I would not be surprised based on the schedule if they add another show at this venue.

Yeah, why not? They could tour for years off the back of that.
They can even have Billy Gibbons guest on some songs and open up the opportunity for some ZZ Top covers.

Say what you want pal, this is still a cash grab.
The band looks bored AF playing the same ol’ songs in the same ol’ order.
The most energy I’ve seen from them is when they play Absurd and HardSkool. At last! Something new to break the monotony!
If only they’d release a few more…
Hopefully there will be a new single or 2 and they play those, keep Absurd and HS and replace covers with the new ones.

the only show on this tour that might sell out or might have some money to be made on the aftermarket is the Hard Rock show, all these other shows are already so overpriced that no Scalper is going to touch them unless they want to lose money
Even with that show I'm pretty confident they are going to add another show after it sells out based on the gap in the schedule. People can avoid the scalpers and buy night #2.

Bought early access PIT for Hard Rock. Will be my first time in the PIT.
I'll see you in line. I did the same. In 2021 I did regular PIT there. When I got in I could have had the rail way off to the side so I went pretty close to center and was 2-3 "rows" back depending on people shifting around. The issue was that the stage is pretty low there and I'm only 5'9" so I had to do a lot of craning my neck and shifting around to keep from having my view blocked. I paid the ridiculous amount of money for early entry so that I could get the rail somewhat near the center. I don't need to be dead center but where I could have gotten the rail with regular PIT entry would have made them very far when they were on the other side of the stage.

This royally sucks. I can't get through on Pit. I had a row 3 but now row 10 is closests.
The universe doesn't want me to go :(.
Got Pit after all.
Same thing happened to me. I kept getting to the step where it was securing my tickets and then I'd get an error after a few minutes. One time it said they weren't available anymore. Then, on like the 6th or 7th try (between two browsers) it finally worked.

Is there any way to see the pricing on Tickemaster before the on sale time? I'm trying to budget what tickets I can get and would rather not have to wait until they are on sale to know what each area costs.

They are getting it. Promoters wouldn't keep booking them in US stadiums if there weren't millions to be made.
Exactly. The promoters run a business to make a profit. They aren't insane GNR fans giving the band money so they can keep doing shows. After mech and beer sales I guarantee they turn a profit on every show.

I truly don’t get it. It’s the same tour. Every year. These songs have been beaten to death. They must be bored doing the same thing, no? Surely enough money has been made to put their feet up for a year or two or three.
If Axl sounded amazing, I’d go. But I could barely enjoy it at MetLife Stadium in summer 2021. It’s a shame. Loved the 2016, 2017, and 2018 shows I saw. Even 2019 had its moments.
Unfortunately I am passing, which I can’t believe
As I said earlier in the thread, I've seen them 4 times since the reunion and every setlist was different. Yes there is a ton of overlap and the songs that are repeated are mostly in the same order but there were several songs that I got at one show and not the other 3. Most of the differences were GNR originals so I'm not even considering covers like BHS or Wichita Lineman that weren't played in all the shows.

Looking at my old Paris ticket from 2017. I paid €91 euros and there was no golden circle. That's how it should be.
In 2017 I paid a lot less for pretty much everything (TVs being a notable exception).

Can you please tell me at that venue was it a pit or were there reserved seats in front of the stage?
Last time they had it set up as a pit. I assume it will be the same. The stage is pretty low so if you are not tall and not on the rail there are times where things can get blocked from view.
Complaints, complaints, complaints!

Those same things are what gave us the AFD-UYI era. It wouldn't have been the same band if there was no substance abuse and they all had calm personalities and were best friends.
