I must admit I did laugh at that - purely because of his rep on here. I must admit I don’t think he is as bad as what people say.....although curiously I think he was better pre-reunion?!

I agree he sounded tighter pre-reunion. Also, I think he was playing a bit better in 2019 too. Sucks for him that many of us - myself included - had stopped watching every single show by then. But Ive heard him not fuck up Estrangeds snare part and keep tempo for the outro of Witchita. So kudos to him.

  2. Another killer episode!! Amazing force stuff. Incredible action and combat scenes. Classic Imperial shit. Boba Fett is epic - even more excited for his mini series now!

Amazing cinematography once again. I actually watched this chapter on my phone in the middle of the night. And while I loved it, it made clear that this is a big screen type production! The phone just doesn't do it justice.

Baby Yoda being held on a jet pack ride! rock3

    Spoiler

More dark side tendencies from Baby Yoda :nervous:

He is a child and he is being attacked. But choking is primarily dark side. Iirc we've only seen Luke use a choke while in his dark outfit.

When it comes to packages it's not about the paper.  It's the ribbon and the decoration on top.  Get some twine for ribbon.  Take a walk with your pruners and cut off some evergreen stuff, pine smells great.  Wrap the twine around the box and tie on your plant material.  Wala, how original and pretty is that?  If you need help, pinterest the idea.  Those plumes on grasses work too.  You can make yarn out of old t-shirts if you don't have twine or string those plastic bags together.

Simone was not real pleased when I dumped all the ribbons on the couch where she was trying to sleep.   I've got one person wrapped.  The paper supply is questionable.  I'm going to have to hit the after Christmas sales and stock up.

I think your dark figures can go either way.  Depends on who it is.  For some reason they are more afraid of you then you are of them.  Or something like that.

You’ve got all the best ideas!! I have twine already so after a collect some pine I’m all set! Thanks!!

Well, I guess there had to be some limit to Simones Christmas cheer  have you got more wrapping done since?

I was up at 4 because I had dark figures on my mind

Was video chatting with my nephew last night. And his eternally grumpy, asshole, dad was in the background. Dad was wearing a loose and lush adult onesie with an over sized hood, lol. Lounged out like a French king and eating an apple with a bent wrist. It was all I had in me to ignore him. Haha. And then he chimes in about “how long after (my nephew) was born did you move away?” Ugh, what an asshole!

And when I finally looked directly at him I just burst out laughing at him

The kid seemed fine, thankfully! Likely old enough to have a sense that dad is a difficult person.

So, now it feels like Christmas is in full swing!

I was just thinking about the wrapping paper situation.  Everything came in boxes so I can wrap that and don't have to use bags.  I may have to make a paper run.

Yep, you've seen the dark spot too.  Nothing to freak out about, harmless.

Well fuck, FedX came by and I didn't get those last few packages I'm waiting on.

The nettles recovered?  I don't think number 72 is going to come back.  Marsha was pretty impressed when she saw the cuttings.  In a couple of weeks we are going to take cuttings off the citronella geraniums.

For people who won’t find it off putting I use newspapers and flyers for wrapping paper.

I’ve always wondered if the dark figure was their to help me or part of the harm to befall my gf?

yeah, the nettles happy! And the mint needs transplanting. And there’s finally new leaves on two of the Rosemary! So some of all the plants have survived.

You got Marshas seal of approval!!

my attitude is not inhuman, nor is it dangerous. let me explain.

it is entirely human to be selfish, as it is part of our nature as animals. Look around you, there is selfishness everywhere. in society, among animals. it's the law of the fittest. It is inhuman (but socially desired) to be altruistic.

Dangerous, it isn't either. because contrary to some people, I don't attend clandestine parties, I don't travel, I just don't socialize period. Dangerous, to what? To your feelings, maybe.

When social tension arises, then the masks fall of and the 'real' character of the people shows: riots and violence.

You're also wrong when you say I play the victim. This would assume, that I would like to achieve "approval" of some sorts, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I speak my mind, but at the same time I don't wish bad on anyone, and for all my faults I hardly ever insult people. And that's more than what can be said about many other people on here, who wouldn't be deemed inhuman. I call BS on that.

Well then it must be some cosmic coincidence that you spout off all manner of right wing nonsense. And then like all other right wingers act like a victim when people correctly call you out. You must be the special right winger, the outlier, whose not as easily categorized. And its just by chance just that you come across like every other one of you.

I am frustrated that I can't do the things I want. I don't want sympathy for that, I think you got that wrong. Selfish, I am. I try to do altruistic deeds sometimes, but that's like wearing a coat. I'm fundamentally indifferent, asocial even. I care about those in my inner circle, I'd do anything for them, but the world can go to hell.

If you want a sympathetic person to talk to, I hope you'll find someone but it sure as hell ain't me.

You played victim when rightly called out for your inhuman and dangerous approach to the pandemic

Sometimes if you look out into the hall from the bed, it's completely black, not it's normal dark.  It goes away and only happens every once in a while.

Combo of microgreens and Star Wars, that's the gift for you.

I'm off to Bass Pro for a gift pick up and then I plan to start wrapping.  Major project for me.

Such a thoughtful and perfect gift! I can even successfully grow micro greens now!

I’d be freaked out if I saw that in my hall.

I did once have a nightmare that my gf was in mortal danger. I woke up in the middle of the night from the fear. There was a dark figure standing over me at the foot of the bed. I prayed for my gf - still half asleep and maybe hypnotized by the figure a bit. And just then the figure disappeared and the phone rang. My gf had just had a car accident! And she said it could have been worse but she hit a second section of ice that lead her away from a pole and into snowy ditch.

And when the figure left, the entire room became noticeably brighter. (Your hallway situation reminded me of this)

My one and only weird experience like that... but a bit of a doozy, eh?

Fuck me - I wanna go to Bass Pro so bad!! That’s one of those joys that I forgot to even miss. But now that I’m reminded, I need it!

I hope you have enough wrapping paper!

    Nettles still all good.

  8. We are kinda sorta getting our numbers under control!

There was some expert interviewed who was enthusing that we made the turn around way faster than other places that had a second wave.

When asked why he said “we don’t have many people of colour here.”

    :facepalm::lol:

Possibly he could have phrased that better and not continued to sound so enthusiastic

Also, I don’t think that’s even true - we are very multicultural and have 5 Uni/colleges.

im pretty sure he meant that the govt workers who can all work from home are mostly white

... He needs to stop talking!

Mike's freaking out.   When he moved in we told him about the neighborhood ghosts.  Didn't take him long to become a believer.  They've been a little active over at his place.  He reported a shadow visited him while he was in the garage and his dad said there was knocking at his bedroom door.  But last night, Mike's 60th birthday, he hear a chime outside his front door.  Just once so he wrote it off but when he turned off everything in the house it started in the corner of the living room, other side of the house.  He would tell it to stop and it would while he was talking but then start up again.  He finally yelled at it to go away, it was scaring him and it stopped.  He thought he heard it one more time outside of his bedroom window.

He called me all freaked out wanting to know if I heard the chimes.  No but told him it was probably his mom wishing him happy birthday.  She visited him once before.  You know, I didn't want to freak him out but yeah I've noticed sometimes lately the hall seems to have a dark spot.

So live in a haunted neighborhood and you’re friend has a demon cat?  What are the odds?!

You mean the halls in your house have dark spots??

That’s nice if it’s his mom visiting them.

Or maybe it was just his Dad getting a midnight snack?

Those parasitic bugs freak me out.   Some of those bugs are so plant specific I don't know how they survive.

Academia has a lot to learn about the circle of life.  They always seemed surprised that if they do something here, it changed something over there.  Those slugs all over the combine! :nervous:

I know, right!  It’s like “if you air your balls on a Tuesday evening in May, there is a parasite that requires those very conditions! Lol

    Well said about academia, sister!

    Slugs on anything! :wow:

A layer of micro greens sure makes rice and beans look pretty

Yeah I didn't write that down.  I feel bad I cut all that shit down in the cottage garden.

What is with cats and videos?  You see cats all the time but dogs never try to get on screen.

Cats are always ready for their closeup... except if you want to take it . Just this morning I opened a DVD season-set of West Wing and in less then a second Beaker appeared and laid on it - and then fell on the floor when it slid from under him

I guess all us practitioners are always learning. And also, I wonder how much of the wisdom and knowledge that we hold has yet to be digested by academia?

I thought he said 421 in the St Louis area.  I like him too.  How often do you get somebody from the zoo giving a talk over zoom?

Ah - 400 makes more sense! Still a huge amount for a single city!!

we were spoiled. I took notes. Already forget how to pronounce the word for the tube pollinators slide into the flowers though!

It’s just Axl with a writing credit too I’m sure....so he must have came up with the riffs etc then?

Shotgun Blues gets a bad rap for some reason but I like it. 👍

Axl played guitar on it too! Being guns, everyone is credited with rhythm guitar though, so I’m not sure who’s playing what. But alll the parts are badass. Axl shines :headbang:

I like it too, but the criticisms of the lyrics seem fair enough to me

*Goes and dances to it like Dizzy in the Garden of Eden video*
