  1. I think I am blind, I don't see it on the website that the download had been pushed back to 7/15.

I don't see that either on the website. It says the following:

AVAIL TO DOWNLOAD HERE AT 6/15

Watch the full length concert anywhere, anytime in FULL HD – Stereo/5.1 Surround. BUY & STREAM THE MOVIE INSTANTLY !

  2. I really enjoyed it overall. Axl's voice, IMO, was only weak at some points in Estranged. It definitely showcased the band as a tight unit, lot of horsing around between Axl, Tommy, DJ, etc. Good stuff, I definitely recommend it, and I am proud as a die hard fan of the band, of this release.

I echo your last statement whole-heartedly. Well said.

I've watched this on my phone with the app, but I look forward to sitting down and watching it from start to finish on Blu-ray to get the full and best experience possible.

  3. I would agree that (with the exception of the end of YCBM), all those songs were average -> bad performances. Better isn't great either and neither is Rocket Queen.

The rest alternated between good and really good for me, some of it I'd even say was awesome. I think it just goes to show you're likely to project whatever impression you had carrying into it when you watch the final product though - going both ways. :P

That's not the best version I've "Better" I've heard. Frankly, I thought the versions from the shows on 11/23/12 and 11/24/12 that I was at were better. But, I liked "Rocket Queen" and "You Could Be Mine".

But, I would agree with the rest alternating between good and really good. Overall, it seems comparable to shows I was at immediately after this one.

  4. Is it fair to put a dvd up against an album though? An album is normally bound to sell more than a dvd.

not these days, people are much more likely to buy a blu ray.

Appetite 4 Democracy is a double cd so it's going be like Live Era 2.

Kind of hard to say. I mean, on one hand, Slash is releasing new material for his fans to enjoy. On the other hand, Guns N' Roses is releasing SOMETHING, and that's always going to be a big deal (well, for awhile anyways). Then you have to factor in all of the people who won't actually buy either, but will instead just torrent them or listen to them on Youtube or something. It's really up in the air, but if I had to say? I'd guess World on Fire. Now, if GNR was releasing actual new material (as if), then it would be harder to say, but at this point I'd have to lean toward World on Fire still.

Yeah it's hardcore Slash fans vs. random drunk Vegas GNR fans. I feel like the blu ray is more interesting to get than just bother rock cd. If you're just a neutral consumer staggering around in Wal-mart.
Appetite for Democracy is not a double CD. It's not being released on CD. So, comparing the two releases is not possible.

  5. Ordered the blue ray on amazon canada. Assuming that means it'll charge or ship on July 1st or 2nd?

As others have said, it may depend on whether or not you have Amazon Prime. I have Prime and have had it for a while, so I don't know what it's like if you don't have that. But, for me, I will get it the day it is released.

Amazon is usually very clear about delivery dates when you place an order, so I'd check your email order confirmation.

  7. I'm trying to watch the show via the app too, but the absence of a "play all" option is pretty annoying. Really breaks up the experience. Hopefully fantracks can slip a few quick improvements in... I'd be happy to email them with a list of 4 or 5 issues if people want to put them forward.

Rockfuel have done a fantastic job mixing the guitars and layers together. I'm really impressed!

I've seen about half so far - the big question everyone wants to know... Axl's performance? Exceeding my expectations so far. Hardly his best show ever, but definitely one of the better performances from that era so far from what I've heard.

I would agree with your assessment. It seems pretty comparable to the last two shows of the residency I saw in person.

They were the two I was at too. The second last was particularly good, and this show is definitely on a similar level.

Axl Morris, I'm sorry you're having difficulties with the app version. We've had thousands of people watching the stream version with no issues at all. Others with minor browser/compatibility issues that for the most part were resolved. Bandwidth connections do vary. Again, (and I know its a bit frustrating) but reach out again to support@fantracks.com and they will do everything possible to help you. we/they will never turn our backs on anyone .

Thanks for taking the time to address people's concerns. I know it's not easy to hear people's complaints when you've only just got the thing out. Hopefully the issues can be worked through soon so everybody gets to enjoy it. :)

You guys have done a great job putting this together and I think most of us are grateful to see it looking and sounding so good.

Agreed. I would also say the last three shows were all better than the show that was broadcast on satellite radio.

  9. I just find it interesting he doesnt say "No, I'm out of the band!"

It seems as if its not as cut and dry as stated before

    He didn't say anything, frankly.

"Hey, we'll see" is a non-committal answer to literally any scenario you could imagine.

I tend to agree with LoadedNightrain.

If it was cut and dry (as stated before), the answer would've been cut and dry. It wasn't. He was very cut and dry before. He isn't now.

Maybe it's a more fluid situation than previously thought.

  10. Only Slash knows for certain if he was intending to be disrespectful or not given that there is only text from the interview and not audio and/or video by which vocal tone and body language can be observed. Having said that, when I first read that quote I knew it would come across as disrespectful.

But, you can't "unring the bell". So, maybe in the future if and when Duff plays in place of Tommy and Slash is asked about it, Slash can look at this and just say, "Duff told me he is filling in on bass".

  11. You're a lie was waaaay better. Which is pretty sad.

I prefer "You're A Lie", especially as a lead single. But, this is a good song.

I'm curious how the album will sound and what types of songs there will be. I hope they'll be some more challenging songs like "Anastasia" if Slash is going to stay within the same sonic terrain as the last album.

Myles is a very talented singer. But, I prefer his tone when he's using the lower part of his range, like in "Open Your Eyes".
