  1. From an interview I just did... "I'm very focused on my next Bumblefoot album, I've experienced a lot of pleasure and pain in the past few years, and my best songs are coming from it all. When I'm writing music or performing, emotions are always at the surface, good and bad, which I think can be hard on the people around me, including fans (especially if I'm anywhere near twitter, apologies for any occasional lashing out...!) But this is part of what it takes to give your all musically. It's not always rainbows and unicorns - it's as real as it gets. I hope people will be understanding of this, they're not going to get political bullshit with me, they get the better and the worse. If you want real music, it has to come from every part of you. I try my best not to drag people into my personal darkness, but sometimes you can't help it when it's the only place you're at. All we can do is keep trying to be stronger than the things that break us."

The bold and italicized part really stuck out to me. He's admitting that he's been through a lot and has a lot of ups and downs he's been going through and that he does lash out on twitter as a result.

He's not directly connecting this statement to the previous tweet, but it is possible, I suppose, that he made a point of highlighting this passage from the interview he just did because of that previous tweet.

  2. Ron is an extremely talented guitarist - and it would be a crippling blow to the touring line-up if he left - but he needs to add a little more perspective to his outlook. Touring exotic places is not a raw deal, in the grand scheme of things.

I don't think that's his gripe. Sure, he probably loves it, especially since his wife is usually with him and I'm sure they have a good time. But he's probably sick of touring for nothing, if you know what I mean. :shrugs:

That may not be his frustration at the moment, but the fact that touring takes away time from other activities is something he's mentioned before and he even mentions in the bio he wrote for himself in 2011 that's posted on his website.

The band Guns N 'Roses actually visited the exhibition devoted to David Bowie on the afternoon of Thursday ( 27 ) , but without Axl Rose , who has chosen to remain in the hotel during the tour "South American Tour 2014 ".

The group has hits like " Patience " and " Paradise City " has gone through Rio , Belo Horizonte and Brasília . This Friday ( 28 ) , plays in Sao Paulo and goes to Curitiba, Porto Alegre , Florianópolis , Fortaleza and Recife .

Two members of the hard rock band , drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman , remained in place to oversee the opening of the Music Video Festival ( MVF ) , festival music video which also occurs in the museum .

Even on the night of Thursday , another guest star will be onsite . Mick Rock , photographer known for registering rockers like David Bowie and Lou Reed , participates in the opening of the exhibition " It 's Rock " , part of the MVF . The event is now closed to guests. On Saturday ( 29 ) , Mick Rock returns to the scene to talk to the public .

I notice a certain someone is hanging out with his allegedly soon-to-be ex-bandmates :)

  4. Love Bumblefoot to bits. I have a ton of respect for him and his guitar playing and he's the main reason I follow GnR anymore anyways but his passive agressive whining is getting a bit annoying.

He reminds me of Kristen Stewart who was constantly miserable and complained about Twilight all the time and yet wouldn't quit.

Assuming his tweet was about venting his frustration with GnR once again, of course.

I never imagined I'd ever read Kristen Stewart and BBF mentioned in the same passage. But, I understand the point.

  5. is he leaving? Maybe the rock on the range rumor was true

Rock on the Range is less than 67 days away.

It's just the number of days left on this tour.

    Ali

No kidding, look who post the tweet.

I know who posted it. At this point, I don't see any reason to believe it's anything other than the number of days left on this tour.

    Ali

Just the number of days left. Ok.

I think he's unhappy, again. That's weird to count days until the last gig, don't you think?

Sure, it's weird. But, it wouldn't be the first time he said something that was a little perplexing.

I saw a couple of videos where he was laughing with Axl on stage, so if he is unhappy, it's not constant and blatantly obvious on stage.

  6. It's confirmed Tommy will be back for the US dates in May and June.

Stinson, who will be back in the GNR bass saddle on May 13 in Bethlehem, Pa.

    Ali

For anybody that considered the move rationally, that was never in doubt.

It's not like this was a lack of loyalty on Tommy's part. The Replacements committed to some very high-profile performances, and GNR hatched plans thereafter. It's very understandable that Tommy felt obliged to fulfill his role with The Replacements.

    I never, personally, doubted it.

But, if there was ever any question for anyone else, it has now been officially removed.

    Ali

Sorry if I gave the impression that I was accusing you of such a position, I was just making a general point.

Tommy is arguably the greatest source of morale for Axl. He is noticeably eager to interact with Tommy onstage. I doubt Axl would ever seriously consider replacing Tommy permanently (unless of course Tommy made it clear that he wanted to bow out).

    No need to apologize.

I was just explaining where I was coming from.

I think this signals the end of Axl trying to legitimize modern Guns.

And that's coming from me, the oft-accused #1 Axl worshipper on the plant.

I don't see it that way at all. I think it is simply one old friend helping out another one who was in a bind.

As far as bass players go, I don't see how anyone would be MORE appropriate than Duff to play the songs. He wrote the bass parts on all of them except for the CD songs.

If this was a permanent insertion of Duff into the new lineup, I'd agree with you. But, that isn't the case here.

  8. The argument I have seen is you are not at the show so you have no opinion hits me hard.

Simply put it is correct and as long as it remains the same I will be here, not at a show... I have already seen this show x amount of times.

The argument is a moot point, less interest by fans to attend based on the setlist is not a reason to not have an opinion of such.

Some people think that equates to not being allowed to voice an opinion of the set, that's bullshit, all fans have every reason to complain when the band is doing something we don't care for.

I have said this a thousand times, just change the setlist a little. Open with rocket queen and end with jungle and mix it in between. If it is a production issue (like I heard) than fire them all and get a more professional team that can change with you.

Well, there is a production issue when you have to cue certain videos, pyro etc. with certain songs and certain parts of those songs. But, I'm not sure how hard that would be to change or at least plan for. Maybe you can have production plans A, B and C for variations of the setlists. Someone with experience in concert production would know better about how practical that would be. Sounds like a good idea to me.

    Ali

They dont have problems when for example Out Ta Get Me (pyro) gets played

I haven't seen "Out Ta Get Me" played at a show I've been to since 2006, so I wouldn't know either way about pyro or pyro issues with that song.

  10. What new song?

It was a hypothetical. My point was I would prefer not to have a poor quality audio/video file he my first impression of a new song. It was unrelated to vocal quality despite the comments here.

    Ali

So you prefer what they are doing now right?
I never said anything to that effect. I would prefer new music more than anything.

Yes, that's it. I chimed in saying I'd rather not hear a poor quality audio version of a new song.

You really cracked the case on this one, detective.

    Ali

As an objective outsider, yes, you appear to be attempting to smack down any talk of how horrible Axl's performance was.
    No, that's just false.
