  1. You certainly have a fair point.

I'm not dismissing it. It would just seems odd to me, jamming with a singer until the wee hours you won't be working with in a matter of days.

Then there's this comment he made during the Q&A before his solo show at Vinyl two weeks ago:

One of the more serious questions of the night was asking if Axl would really retire. The reply was No, dont you check Facebook? Ha! No, I have not heard the word retire come out of Axls mouth and hes not ending the band; no matter how much I torture him.

    ...........

Why make a comment like that if you know you're leaving in a couple of weeks? It just strikes me as odd to say Axl isn't ending the band no matter how much I torture him. What, no matter how much you torture him in the next two weeks?

"We actually jammed last night until the wee hours, til my fingers were blue and both me & my tech were falling over, was a great time & wish we had done that more often - Axl's great to jam with"

I may be looking too hard into this but when he says "was a great time and wish we had done that more often" it gives me the idea that he truly is leaving.. Why would he wish they had done it more often if he is still gona be touring with gnr and has plenty of opportunities to jam with the band at a later point.. Hmm

Why would Axl be jamming with a guitar player he knew was leaving in a matter of days? What would be the point?

Like, I said, not dismissing the rumors is a fair point. Maybe he just doesn't want to go down that road and explain past comments made, perhaps in the hear of the moment.

As far as the comment you're referring to, that is also a fair point. But, maybe he just means that he wishes they'd done that more up until now?

I just don't get why either one of them would spend time "jamming" all night if they weren't going to work together after Saturday night. It would just seem pointless to me.

  3. Haters and people who question one's intentions are two completely different things. Anyway, great to see BBF is around. The talk about jamming with Axl looks, again, like damage control, after posting stuff like "67 days and counting". So I guess Ron won't leave after all, yay.

I don't know... 'Wish we'd done that more' doesn't seem too promising to me.

Why would he be jamming with Axl though until the wee hours if he was going to leave the band after the the last show of the residency on Saturday?

Maybe he just means he wishes they'd done that more often in the past, up until now?

  4. lol since when has speculation or fact got in the way of discussion on gnr forums?

I think Ron not appearing at the recent public outings which had 4tus, dj and other members of gnr as well as Ron not refuting the comments (that he has been made aware of through social media channels) adds some credence to this possibility.

But yes, lets just go with 'allegedly' for now, so why is Ron allegedly leaving then?

I don't think not refuting anything adds any credence to the possibility of him leaving so much as it adds credence to the possibility of him being too busy to deal with the numerous emails, DMs, etc. he gets.

As far as not appearing at public outings, he was at the Nellis Air Force Base meet and great with DJ, Dizzy and Frank today.

  5. 4. DJ Ashba being seen as second in command despite the clear lack of skill necessary for the role with him and 4tus as afterthoughts.

    that's a good possibility

has it even been confirmed that he's actually going this time?

    No, not yet.

    Ali

Uk subs wouldn't of made a public post about it unless it has sufficient reasoning for it (please dont bring up the NGOG incident) .

Excuse me, but he said himself he didn't know how things were going to pan out. So, it's hardly "confirmed".

    Ali

That doesn't have to stop people from speculating since nothing new happens with this band.

    Ali

Who said it has to stop people from speculating?

The question was whether or not it was confirmed. It hasn't been yet. That's all I said and all I meant.

Edit: his exact words were, "I believe the source 100%!! Will it happen? How the fuck would I know? Lol "

  7. That was gold

I'm pretty sure he's hinting again at leaving but we have to wait and see.

I like when he says he'll probably throw DJ's guitars instead of his

I don't know what he's going to do (no one does, really), but honestly I think he was making fun of the interviewer or joking around with him for using the word "currently". It seemed pretty light-hearted to me :shrugs:

He did not bring up that word, "currently", on his own. That much is clear.

    Nonetheless, a fun little interview.

  8. What does he say at the beginning before saying "for how long"?

It was a response to the interviewer using the word "currently". He was making of the interviewer using that term, IMO.

I like his description of what is a good vs. bad response from the crowd: Underwear thrown=good. Bottles thrown=bad.

  9. You guys bitch too much. I was there, the show fucking rocked. Energy kept me going in Vegas till 7am. Axl sounded fucking great. He was in a great mood. All smiles and was interacting with us up front a lot. Threw his mic into the crowd after Paradise City. Some lady threw her panties and they landed right on his face and stayed there. It was fuckin classic, perfect shot and he loved it. Only problem was the 40 something year old lawyers who brought their wives down to the front and then got pissy if you came near her. Get a fucking seat next time asshole!

Christ. They landed right on his face? That sounds funny to watch, but awkward to experience
