What do you ladies think a new album would sound like.... I've been trying to wrap my head around that.

I guess something to have a nice glass of wine with rather than something to blow the roof off.

Duff may bring some bluesy-groovy sound from last album - or punk sparkles; Axl can make Slash's throw-out noodles work the way I sometimes think that Slash's play is sound in Axl's head... Melissa is true musical Swiss knife with beautiful voice... and Axl can put together how feelings sound like (with multilayered lyrics).

As we found out recently, TB handle who Axl should date. Don't be surprised if those people handle everything :scared:

Beta is the housekeeper, she does the dirty laundry.

I think there are several more people in Axl's tight circle to see what Axl cannot see (it's the price of high intelligence and some other traits described in Axl, to have Texas sized blind spots for certain stuff considered normal or easy to disclose for average people. And after all, love and lust blinds, no exception). Beta gate may be sometimes overprotective and counterproductive, but that's the price... it's more common that disowned and orphaned people who made it big in rock'n'roll didn't survive past 30, and the reason was that people closest to them didn't work for them as people, they just took the advantage or directly pulled them down the drain.

If Axl wants to keep certain woman around, he keeps her. She has usually something more to offer than booty, like, intelligence and talent. Also, those women get on well with rest of the GNRfamily, and are recognized and respected by people outside the band. I can point out people I know in person who didn't listen to their friends that the person they date or going to marry are not a good idea for relationship. And I bet no one around Axl wants to deal with certain kind of women, and, eventually, ehm, intensely disappointed Axl. Me, personally, I also have few friends who are better to listen to. Lesson learned.

The story is questionable after all, in term how much it was colored and flavored. How many models could tell a similar story? Od course there are more frequent Brazilian ones, just because you get introduced to Axl as a friend of a friend... you know. For me there are more dreams and hopes in this lady. Being struck by Axl is nothing uncommon, that man has certain something, and that certain something is unusually intense.

I just don't buy the story of a girl in pure love with her prince and intriguer producer lady's squad as it was presented.

    * When was Axl dating Sasha?

And a load more like that but I can’t be arsed to dig out any more (I feel like a creep myself lol)

Anyway - she seems like a massive fan. Camping out to get to the front at NITL and obviously hanging about after shows to get photos with him again. It’s just odd to me if you supposedly had a serious relationship with the guy and still message on birthdays and special occasions, why doesn’t he get her decent tickets into the show at least. She seems a tad stalkerish to me, is all.

(I’m a cynical bitch though, so maybe I’m not being fair )

Maybe she had serious relationship - but Axl didn't. Happens.

  4. A round of applause for @Andy14 for making awesome post out of the blue/no new material for ages.

A true gig (small ones, in, like, pubs, no crowd to talk about, are allowed here) is a thing I really miss, I miss meeting people who love the band and you can talk about them and share your love for the band for hours without getting bored or sounding crazy... And I miss gifted frontman who can unite the crowd to the point he merges with it, I've never been immersed in such an energy anywhere else.

I am not sure Axl has the type of hair that would grow long anymore...must be emotionally painful for him.  (The unatural black beard looks awful)

I'd like to know if Axl was ever able to grow longer hair than he had in his prime, but it looks to me more like he really wanted to, but ends didn't cooperate.

Are you talking about recently during the NITL shows?

Yes, I haven't seen them live before NITL. It was fun to watch them, okay, Slash is most of the time mentally somewhere else on guitar anyway, but in the time he is actually aware of what's going on around, he likes some big boobs on rail, like they can summon him back to the ground.

Or Duff and Slash discussing bras flying towards them - weighing cups with their hands.

On the other side, Duff with Shooter was very decent guy in shirt and satin vest and didn't do so, he was busy frontmaning. He hanged the sole bra on Shooter's synths that it's surely for him.

Axl prefers european beers apparently. Theres  a brand starts with B. In one if the  NITL shows he has a bottle of it on the piano and mentions that hes not showing the beer as an endorsement but that its his favourite brand of beer.

It was in Prague. Some tech handled the beer to Axl, he was happy about it. It's best f*king beer, you know? I had american beer once, tape water is cheaper, and tastes the same.

You can also have a normal beer with Robert Plant, but not with Pagey. Also, Jagger ain't no junkie and never became an addict, too. Singers are less prone to addiction and perfoance is the last thing they eventually stay clean for.

I think he would have been as they are called, a functioning addict.

Axl would eventually abuse substances, but he never became an addict, that's the trick. Difference is, that you could ocassionally binge consume like alcohol or pills, or have a veekend on heroin, but get sober after that. No craving, no searching, no excitement about getting drugged up.

In some interview from 90s. There was heartbreaking story of Axl searching for dope in suicidal attempt, he was allready famous, but have nobody to spend Christmas with, left orphaned and abandoned in LA. Then he met some friends. with same struggles and they spent Christmas together (without dope). Just little celebration.

He definitely did coke in the past, I have firsthand knowledge of that. And he was smoking the heroin with Matt too.

Axl did it all, pills (ODed by them in suicidal attempt at least once) , coke (Matt shared some with him while making Illusions, Axl talked eight hours straight, no one shared coke with him after that), even intravenous heroin (recommends clean needles), he just somehow managed not to become a junkie and rather solve his issues than drug up. He continued weed long after he dumped hard drugs, too. Ocassional shrooms reported. Stopped smoking in 90s or so. Overall, interesting.

Hell yeah, he can still have a beer without major health risk.

And it must be a great story hey - don’t send your kids to normal boring school like everyone else - instead take them around the world with a notorious rock band and let them grow up with the influence of music and listening to such lyrics as “turn around bitch I got a use for you”

Children tend to form their own opinion. Some are smart enough not to repeat what they had seen. Keith Richard's kids turned out just fine - And Martlon was five and Keith full blown heroine junkie when the kid toured with the band and took care about his drugged-up daddy... in times when rock'nroll wasn't just faded stories...

Paul McCartney has children's storybook, so has Keith... why not? I don't think I will buy it, but... most dangerous band in the world is now a family thing...

  10. My gut instinct says that album is in the air.

Maybe I'll make adult evening with friends, having wine and listening to late GNR. My friend who gave me his badass speakers for foster care while he travels told me I can adopt them forever.

Still, some official information about postponing would help. I am supposed to have important exam in the time shows are scheduled now. I joined Aerosmith fanclub for tickets and it's same mess on the wheels like GNR management, so...

I know, it's so annoying. It was £20 and i thought that's a lot for a kindle book, then when i woke up i'd decided to get it and it was gone

It happened to me with another book, it was available for pre-sale, then at the time it should be regularly sold it was marked as sold out... I didn't know they can be out of e-books... it reappeared with a reasonable price after some time...

  12. In some early interviews (late 80s? Early 90s?), Axl mentioned he has weak ankles. He may have this like... since... ever. It's then also about observing some body part/function more. Kind of frequent, to say.

Axl tore his leg muscle after a jump during rehearsal shows for UYI, so he began the tour in cast/leg brace.

With walking cane, I can't still decide if it was for image or he really needed some support for a while.

I can imagine how tense must have Axl been to get back onstage reunited after all those years. Body is then more prone to injury and unregulated falls. So, here we go. Weak spot. Happens. (This was shot before the performance)

    image.thumb.jpg.68bd6be2756119810af80f3a

Last time Axl tripped over some wet spot while retreating (he dried it afterwards in person). The funniest was that Slash was so much into solo that he noticed nothing, even it happened like a meter and a half behind him. The interesting info (from cartoonist of Loony Tunes) is that those straps are of Axl's pets. So I think it's kind of more of an emotional support than mechanical one. (They just always looked like they are important for Axl. They are not exactly tightly placed, neither designed to support joints anyway...).

  13. There is calm before the storm, restriction and stuff, but not too many people requiring hospital care. I have no kids, so no excuses.

I continue working. I just don't meet people in opposite way when I go to work like I'm used to in the morning. Government is hoarding and counting material, yet there's not many people who can operate ventilators and take care of full-blown ICU patients, they just don't think about it. I hope that at least they will take care of us like Medicins sans frontiers, when it starts. Sometimes I understand Axl's Kill your Idols statement in a way, you know, they praise kinda imaginary, superhuman healthcare worker, yet we are humans. We go exhausted, nervous, we are tired of glitches and unprepared system, unsystematic management, people stealing protection, disinfection... and government requiring work without supplying us... There are lot of people who do stuff for free or for costs for others, but hella lot scavengers.

Recently I bird watch. Since people walk their dogs less, birds returned to the town and hop around and sing. It's so quiet now. My mint survived winter.

Think of how many photos there must be of Axl - millions. Statistically I'm sure there's some kind of correlation between the number of bad photos and the number of good ones. He has so many amazing ones - it's inevitable that there would be bad ones too. His good ones are sooooo good... we should just show people one of those every time we're sent a 'fat Axl' meme.

But show this to guys and they start to refrain and be kinda distressed:
