IMO the song quality has gotten better each release. And I think there’s more in the tank.

You are a special brand of retard.
How can the botch of a new release surprise you? Since when does GNR have their shit together?

There's a 212 page (and counting) thread full of people being surprised and/or outraged by what I predicted from the start.
I can only conclude that I'm psychic as well as a genius.
I don’t think anyone is surprised 😂

I don't get why compare GNR releasing a song only on vinyl to any other band doing the same. It's a completely different scenario, with less than a handful of songs released in 15 years. How this context is not something to consider?
Definitely! I firmly believe it will be on all digital platforms. Just maybe not right away. People throw the term “cash grab” a lot around here. This may be another one.

Thanks for completely misrepresenting everything else I said in that post.
As I said above there is a way to add local files to your streaming library from a computer. I use Apple Music personally and it’s quite easy to do - I know you can with Spotify also but I don’t know the exact process.
Haha just added my local files to Spotify. Took like 3 taps on my screen 😂

And even if a few…hundred? Thousand? People download it illegally, they’re still making more money off the sales than they would off of millions of streams. Maybe they just feel like doing something the old school way for a change, and I don’t see the harm in that. Everybody who wants to hear it will still have an excellent quality rip eventually (Assuming the pressing itself is good) even if it takes a few days/weeks longer, and the people that choose to buy have no issues…so everybody wins in the end as far as I’m concerned.
Good point. I bought the vinyl. I just want to be able to stream it from Spotify on my commutes!
I still think never releasing to streaming services is silly. I can see waiting until sales drop off tho.

It floors me so many people are shocked by this. We have a song that’s a b-side to a 7”, which was never announced (as of yet) to be a part of anything else, and no mention to the fact that it would be streaming other than a cheeky, one word comment from Fernando on the day the 7” was announced which if taken literally at face value means “I don’t know, but maybe”. There was no reason to ever have a strong belief that it would be streaming - sure people on here are claiming there’s never been a studio GN’R song that hasn’t been released on streaming, but not taking into account the context; there’s not much historical precedent here since GN’R has hardly released anything since streaming became a dominant form of music consumption. Yes, almost all of the old b-sides have ended up on streaming also…because they were re-released as part of the various AFD reissues.
Whatever people on here think, this isn’t an uncommon practice for an artist to release a song as a vinyl exclusive. Plus you still get Japan getting exclusive tracks for many, many releases. The amount of records I’ve purchased because of exclusive tracks is sizeable, and this isn’t even a hard one to get a hold of. One of the bands I collect I had to track down a specific German pressing of an LP because the record label forgot to take a song off the 2x10” version that had been axed from all other releases internationally. If something similar happened here, then I could maybe understand the reaction people are having in this thread. On top of that, at least they’re choosing to give us actual new music on a record, unlike so many artists out there that release 20 different color variants of the same damn record hoping everybody goes “oh that’s pretty, I need it!”. There’s many, many things I critique GN’R over, and I’m quite vocal about it. This release is not one of those things.
As for the possible delays in shipping/release - the record pressing industry has been in absolute shambles since COVID, the delays on vinyls have been both frequent and lengthy across the board. If there are delays (which we still don’t entirely know), it’s not something you can hold against the band specifically. That said it’s true they could be communicating potential delays better.
But all of this…talk about turning an ant hill into a mountain
Vinyl exclusive will not prevent it from “downloading motherfuckers” getting their hands on it. I personally think it will eventually get a digital release as soon as they think they maximized the vinyl sales.
On another note, let’s all go back and remember how exciting it was the day we found out it was getting released!

If you're going to copy and paste the copyright text from Chinese Democracy, at least change the catalog number. Come on, man.
Now do us a favour and just post the original digital version of the front cover you made, it's actually pretty cool.
This guy is still wasting his time faking this shit while no one believes him 😂

Does anyone know who handles shipping/distribution for items from the GNR store? Where past items ordered have shipped from?
This is my first ever purchase from the GNR store. Although now I’m tempted to by the hard skool “ep” vinyl.

Okay reunion- GNR is definitely way more popular, but more than 50-100 can name a NuGNR guitar player out of 30-40k. GNR still has a big hardcore fanbase
I disagree. I will poll the audience at the next show I go to confirm 😂

Won’t change the fact Slash can’t beat Robin and Bucket’s work on that material. Or maybe, he won’t. I think he’s capable, but so far I’m not impressed with his play overs.
Music is subjective.
Out of tens of thousands of the people in attendance at these shows, less than 100 can name a NuGuns guitarist from 1997-2015. Maybe even less than 50.
I say this as a giant fan of CD with tons of respect for everyone who helped Axl with CD. Besides Pitman. Yuck. 😂

I've been to two CD-era shows and two NITL shows and I preferred the CD shows, smaller venues, better musicians and overall better performances. But, all were still fun of course.
