Since CD came out, German football club RB Leipzig was founded, promoted from the 5th division all the way up to the Bundesliga, qualified for the Champions League 3 times and played one Champions League semifinal

you can't have four 8+min epics on one album.

I’d go with Axl sounding like 87-93 because imo even though the management and lack of communication etc is annoying, Axl sadly is the weakest link of the GNR b(r)and

Age. Time is undefeated. Axl painted himself into a corner in his youth singing the way he did.
Agree to a certain extent. Also the way he used his voice on the UYI tour has made it worse for sure. He stated several times, that he could barely hear himself on stage and had to scream over the rest of the band. On some shows from 91 or 92 his voice sounds really unhealthy, he clearly wasn’t using the right technic.
Theres no way he’s ever gonna sound like 93, or 06, 2010 again. Even like 2016 is quite unlikely I fear

After the album (rightfully) won the Grammy for best engineering, I’m back on my Beck trip
also ordered the vinyl, should arrive on Thursday, I’m excited (my gf not so much)
Sorry that I come back to this again, but after listening to it again, I get some Pink Floyd vibes from it. Beck’s voice sounds a lot like Gilmour imo and the last part of the song could also be on DSOTM. Anybody else hears that?

The pictures will probably be doctored by Kat and in black and white
Axl‘s jawline will be razor sharp!

I thought Rolling 7s and When I’m Gone were really good, this one is kinda bland
Hope the album won’t be disappointing

There Was A Time is basically him showing off “hey this is my range, fuck you all!”
I feel this way about some stuff on CD. The Better bridge, the part in Shacklers after the solo, Scraped intro an other parts sound like Axl just wanted to show the world that he still „got it“, which harms the music a little

New interview about his appearance on the show.
We would love to have had a song or original piece, but it wasn’t something that was worked out, for whatever reason. It was on our wish list and it didn’t happen, but I can’t speak to why.
Interesting 🤔
also interesting to know that he still prefers to work during the night. That might also make the work on the GNR album a bit harder at least if they want to do some of it together in the same room

Top comment: well I used to like this song.
At this point I'm convinced that whoever decides to upload these videos, doesn't watch them first...
Yeah the comments are brutal and rightly so

I know that Coldplay is probably not everyone’s cup of tea on here, but I’ll share this anyway. Everyday Life live in Jordan during sunset

Whoever runs their social media account has absolutely no clue about music whatsoever.. they played like six (?) times with Angus and managed to pick the one time where Axl absolutely screws up and is completely off

I agree, even though the situation here in the UK looks promising (for today anyway) there wont be any concerts this year.
By the way I dont think we will ever get back to what was 'normal', this is not going to go away ever.
Of course it’s not going to go away, but we’ll have to learn to live with it the same way we learned to live with other viruses. This is for sure not the last pandemic, quite the opposite actually, there will be an increasing number of pandemics in the next decades because of globalization, overpopulation, too much too cheap meat eating and all that kind of crap
But I think this the wrong thread for this stuff, sorry for derailing

Got to give credit where it's due. Boris and his band of baboons have fucked up pretty much every aspect of governance during this pandemic but on the vaccines we're absolutely smashing it out of the park. Projecting right now that we'll have the entire over 50's population vaccinated by April at this rate.
Yeah the UK is doing good so far when it comes to vaccinating
The EU really fucked up the whole vaccine thing... I’m from Germany and I’m usually quite content with german politics, but I think the fact that Germany had the EU council presidency during the time when the whole vaccine thing started rolling, really made things worse... German politicians are really into their goal of the „schwarze Null“ which means not making more than 0.35% of the countries gdp in new debt. So instead of making new debt for the order of the vaccine, they rather save themselves (or rather others) to death (literally)

Queen just postponed their uk summer shoes to Summer 2022.
It was obvious that this would happen. There won’t be any shows in Europe this summer, even though the UK is looking good when it comes to vaccinating, at least better than the EU (seems like Brexit wasn’t all bad after all)
Still I think that Australia and NZ shows will happen in November, things are looking good down there, being an island nation definitely helps in these times
Seriously, can we get some news?

This wouldn’t be great PR, this is the absolute bare minimum that any band should do for their fanbase (and 99,9% of all bands also do this)
