Soon we will have it with a new NITL selections. 😜👍
Sadly the Selects are the most interesting thing about this band at the moment, even though most of them were pretty average
still it’s interesting from which show the next selects will be and which songs will be included
apart from that we only have new merch and interviews without any new information

I guess is a fake account. How Frank would "like" it❓
I feel the same, even if frank thought like this, there’s no way that he’ll endanger his position in the band by liking such a comment... must be an unofficial page

Do you guys think there was a time [post 2000] where Axl really cared about being in the biggest band in the world
Yes, when he joined AC/DC in 2016

I thought we still had a „no YouTube links“ policy ESPECIALLY for unofficial GNR material, so stuff like this doesn’t happen

Anybody knows what selects have been streamed untill now ?
I think they have done 20 now or so.
There used to be a schedule somewhere with all the songs we had and the missing ones but I can't find it anymore. -
Updated after Exit 111 Selects

Really? I thought the 2019 shows were generally regarded as the weakest?
I thought it was stronger than 2018, Axl seemed to be a little bit more prepared than usual

I’d love to know what’s going on in Fernandos head.. why not chose some of the usually weak sounding songs from shows that were overall stronger? And then chose songs like ISE, Brownstone, CD, DTJ, Seeker from the 2018/19 shows
It’s really like he wants to scare EVERYBODY off GNR, the hardcore fans (of course), but now also the casual fans with his poor performance choices for the NITL selects
-
Ouch, Paradise City...
Well it wasn’t the best NITL selects, but also 2019 wasn’t the worst year of the tour and gives a small glimpse of hope for next year
-
I’m tired of this KOHD version, but still I have to say, I like Fortus‘ solo in there. Sure he’s shredding and overplaying it at times but it’s still somehow tasteful and thoughtful. It always seems to go somewhere
-
Does Fernando really think that 2019 was the strongest year of the reunion?

Why is The Seeker a fact? The thumbnail on the select video is from Black Hole Sun, here's an audience recording. https://streamable.com/j2f1h4
edit: judging purely by the guitars Slash is playing and some of the background videos, this select will have at least: Attitude, SOYL, KOHD and Black Hole Sun.
Also LALD, because of Slash playing his goldtop LP and the black and white screen split in 3 in the background

Genesis, Queen, Supertramp, Status Quo and the odd classical/opera record

Somebody posted some info on FB about a new record being released in Feb and a link to Atlas supposedly with Slash n Duff. But, 28 December in some South American countries is their equivalent of April Fools day. Pretty shitty troll attempt
Is that post still on FB? Can’t seem to find it

I'm looking into Costa Rica for our post pandemic trip
Good choice!
My current plan for after the pandemic is a 2-week camping trip through Oman, but I’ll guess that’ll be possible in a year from now at best
Btw, do we have a travel or vacation thread on here?

Gonna give it a go tonight, but im not expecting it to be any good. it's been years since those three have managed to make something good. I just cant get past all the scripted stuff.
What are your thoughts on it?
I thought it was enjoyable but not on par with the Namibia or Mongolia special, let alone the old Top Gear specials

I'm ok with a bass solo as long as there isn't a Frank drum solo.
Why not, Franks drum solos are great 😂

If you’re not into classical music yet, you might start with the Planets by Gustav Holst, especially Mars (kind of the heavy metal of classical music, and John Williams copied a lot of it into his Star Wars Soundtrack), Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus
If you rather want some relaxing music, try the Holberg Suite by Grieg
Also you can never go wrong with Mozart (e.g. Concerto for Flute and Harp), Haydn or Bach
some other suggestions that I like to listen to:
Pictures at an Exhibiton by Mussorgsky
Hansel and Gretel Overture by Humperdinck
Mahler Symphonies 1, 3, 5
Piano Concerto No. 1 by Gershwin
Tschaikovsky Symphony 4 and 5

Not quite GNR related, but in 2016 during the time when Axl was singing for AC/DC, I met Brian Johnson at LHR airport. He stood in front of my friend and I in the line for passport control. I approached him and we had a quick chat he would ask where we came from and what we were doing in England etc. Considering how hard this time must’ve been for him, he was the nicest and most down to earth guy you could imagine. He even waited for us for 10 minutes after he was through the immigration control so we could take a photo with him
We bumped into him again ten minutes later together with my aunt who collected us from the airport and who did already meet him like 30 years ago on flight, but he didn’t remember that

Any fans of The Grand Tour on this forum? I didn’t find a thread on this show so I thought I create one
I‘ve just watched the promo video for their new episode on Facebook and I’m afraid that this might be the last time we see the boys doing something like this
Clarkson is „only“ 60 but looks like he’s in his 70s, he looks really unhealthy
Anyway I’m looking forward to the Madagascar special
AC/DC - Power Up available November 13
in AXL/DC
