I don't want to see this idea of selected songs on a DVD / Blu Ray. That fits perfectly as a YouTube format. I would like to see a full concert on DVDs from the same evening.

Iron Maiden did this really well with the Flight 666 movie, but it was also the behind the scenes footage and the travel footage what made Flight 666 so great... Would love to see a movie of the whole GNR entourage traveling from one city to the next with BTS footage and a selection of songs from the city

Guns n roses is his job no matter what is happening in his ancestral country.

Its like if i said to my boss. Sorry im not doing work today because this happened in our old country. They would be like GTFO here.

But I think what @DurhamGirl meant, is not that something is happening in your country but that maybe something happened to family members or friends.. And we don't know if the virus affected the Lebeis family so yeah, that could be what Fernando meant when he said 'what we've been through'

The mix is such an improvement on this latest batch of songs.  Duff's bass crystal clear, the guitars both properly balanced and not dry, Axl's vocals blending in with the vocals so his more Mickey moments don't stick out as oddly.  To me it is a really good sign that TB is at least listening to the critiques and attempting to implement those improvements in these new videos

I doubt we can give TB credit for the mix.. This was properly mixed by Download for the pro shot releases

I think when we get another regular NITL show, it will be a mix like the SLC show

They'll retire when people stop giving them money for doing next to nothing.

I don't think that's gonna happen too soon.. They might not be able to sell out stadiums or even arenas but then they'll just scale it down, like they did in 2019..play small arenas, theaters or do a residency.. GNR will always make money in Vegas

I think they'll retire either when one of them dies (not very likely in the near future) or when Axl thinks, he cannot perform anymore (likely to happen within the next 10 years, if he doesn't adapt the songs to the current state his voice)

But all the other negativiity just creates bad feeling instead of enjoying what GnR have done.

I think 99% of the people enjoy what GNR have done, otherwise they wouldn't be on this forum..

But I think also most people would like to enjoy what GNR does now, which isn't easy because the band does fuck all but playing shows with minimal effort and finding excuses for not doing anything else..

  6. FWIW, Matt condolenced Slash below this post because his cat has died and...

... commented on this post from the UYI tour with 'My people ✌️'.

I wonder if Slash (or someone else from the GNR camp) probably read the book after it leaked and then called him to clear some things up

Maybe things have become a little better after they talked and Matt wanted to change some of the negative things he has written in the book, which might have lead to the delay/postponement

Of course pure speculation going on here

I think it is more that he looked at the comments here and you lot scared him away. If I was him and saw the pummeling those videos took, I know I wouldn't bother again.

Why would he look at the comments here, did he ever care about what the die-hard-fans said? And I thought the comments on YouTube and other social media were fairly positive

It's so nice to see 2006 getting so much love - without wanting to be some sort of shitty hipster, I've been saying that '06-'10 GNR was my favourite era for years. Guns N' Roses was a hell of a band in those days. I miss them.

    2006-2010 was really good

Imo in the end it all comes down to Axl.. When he's on, the band sounds good..

The line up in 2002 was incredible but Axl didn't sound that good, which is why most people rate it lower than the 2010 shows, where the line up was arguably weaker... Also the same line up played throughout 2011-2014, where most people said they sounded much worse than in 2010, which is because Axl wasn't on...

Same goes for 2016, Axl was good, so the band overall sounded much better than in 2017-2020, even though the rest of the band only found their groove somewhere in 2017

And so on and so on... Axl alone can make the band sound good when he brings it, but that happens less and less frequently. The other musicians can play as good as they want to, but when Axl has a bad day, it's a bad show

I dont think they said weekly. Someone correct me if I am wrong

They didn't, but it would make sense, otherwise people are gonna lose interest quite fast..

On the other hand I just realized I wrote 'it would make sense' in relation with GNR so I don't know what I actually expected

  10. I think the way they arrange the setlist plays also a role in the lack of energy... From ISE to DTJ, I always think they have an incredible energy then they slow it down a bit... The part with Wichita, Wish you were here, NR and KOHD back to back is just dragging... 1 instrumental, one 10 minute ballad and one song stretched to sometimes 13 minutes with a long instrumental part in the middle.. That takes away the energy

Otherwise I think 4tus and Slash do have a good chemistry, even though not as good as Slash and Sidoris..

It's sad that (imo) SMKCs Studio work is (mostly) generic, because they are an awesome live band with great chemistry and enjoy playing
