  1. So after watching it 3 times, I'll give my 2 cents:

    1. Axl - he sounded rough on ISE, but better on CD and DTJ.. as others already pointed out, he needs more screen time. Yes he doesn't look like in 1992 anymore but who cares.. Especially the 'fuck off' in ISE or when he's running around during DTJ, that's what fans want to see!

    2. Slash - I like his tone, it's not as good as it was during the Illusion tour, but I still thinks he sounds good.. His playing however is basically just noodling around, no structure, no phrasing, just a lot of notes played really fast.. His feeling seems to be gone when he's playing live

    3. Richard - solid as always, I like him more than Slash during live shows, he's got the perfect mix between technique, fast playing and feel.. Should've been higher in the mix

    4. Frank - sounded fine to me, but I never complained about him, I like his style

    5. Duff - solid playing I imagine, should've been higher in the mix

    6. Dizzy & Melissa - Melissa sometimes audible during CD, otherwise you didn't really notice they were there

    7. Choice of show - interesting to start with a late 2019 show, but I think they might be going back in time, so they start with late 2019, maybe the next one will be from the beginning of the 2019 leg (I remember Charlotte and Jacksonville being two good shows) and the work their way through and finish with something from the Troubadour

    8. The mix - very dry, rhythm section was too low, Axl and Slash too high, Caram could've made it a bit more enjoyable with a real mix

So overall, it's a start, I'm glad they did, I'll watch it again I think

    6,5/10 points

Edit: and they need to show the crowd more often, especially when they are better than this one

“Sooner than soon. I know soon to you is this weekend, but for the sake of sanity lets just say a couple of weeks.”

Well that is at least a concrete time frame

I'll give them another two weeks, if we have nothing by then I'll be pissed

Rock in Rio 2017 on GNRs YouTube channel confirmed!

If they were smart, they would release songs that Axl objectively sounds good on: Brownstone, Easy, Shadow, Patience, Chinese, Jungle (sometimes), etc.

Stay away from SCOM, November Rain, KOHD, YCBM, Rocket Queen...

Easy, Brownstone, CD, DTJ should definitely be in and a strong Jungle 2016..then maybe some things from 2017 as well, Nightrain, Maddy, Don't Cry, Seeker and from 2018/19 maybe Shadow and Locomotive

  4. It doesn't even have to be full concerts.. Just release one song every two days or so from different shows.. Release an interview with the Big 3.. Release interviews with the other band members.. Interview Axl about his time with ACDC

There are so many possibilities, but I'm afraid we'll get what is the least amount of work (which is probably Tokyo or Appetite for Democracy)

Hope to be proven wrong though and see the Perfect Crime doc up on YouTube next week :D

  5. Wow, once again @Fernando read the fans'minds and delivered what we've all been waiting for. Who needs an update on the tour that is scheduled for in 3 weeks with loads of people sitting on travel expenses and tickets, knowing that the tour simply cannot happen, but still having no official announcement. Who wants new music or, even old music reworked, even when it's only one single fucking song, when you can have overpriced childrens merch instead? Or a streamed live performance like the Stones did. Or some 87-93 live shows which they can put up on YouTube? But no, instead we get toy trucks, childrens books and YouTube videos taken down... I really like the band, when they are on tour (yes, even though the setlist is the same since 2016 and Axl's voice is constantly declining.), I love being at their concerts, I love reading shows threads when I'm not there and I would buy everything related to NEW music (new album, live DVDs from whatever era) within a heartbeat.

But damn it's hard to be a GNR fan these days..

  6. I think we can all agree that the Europe shows and to 99.9% the NA shows are not happening

I don't know why we don't have an official statement yet, but I think that Meegan is probably at least partially right, I don't know much about contracts and that stuff, but i guess the band cannot just cancel a tour even if they want to without losing money. They'll probably have to wait until livenation releases a statement and livenation seems to be busy with tours from other artists, which were scheduled earlier like the Stones tour or PJ tour

Just a guess, but I'm sure we will have an announcement within the next week

Edit: maybe they're also trying to get rescheduled dates together so they can announce the postponement together with new dates, although I don't think so
