Marc Canter was featured in a Instagram Live and I was able to ask him about some rarities that he had shot with the band and if maybe we could see them someday.
Luckly he answered me and he said he has the entire Cathouse '89 (It's So Easy video) concert recorded and that the concert was also in pro-shot.
He also mentioned the '88 Giant Stadium (pro-shot) and some BTS from the AFD recording sessions.
That would be cool to watch.
Those Cathouse ‘89 shows are my Moby Dick..

100% best GNR show I’ve been to since the reunion.
Axl was in a GREAT mood all night, joking about the new Bond movie before LALD and at quite a few other points of the show. It was pretty funny when he introduced Duff and Fortus early and then joked about it when he did it again. It was also awesome to get the anecdote about Izzy with YCBM.
Vocals were the best last night that I’ve heard between ‘17, ‘19 and last night. Even my wife who isn’t a fan told me she thought his WTTJ vox were “better than the original” (massive overstatement, but crazy she thought so).
I don’t usually have complaints about Frank, but he was way off at the end of Hard Skool and had Axl fucked up. Axl also joked about that at the end of the song. The rest of the band was insanely tight; if God played guitar it would sound like it does when Slash plays. The solo before SCOM was awesome.
You’re Crazy was surprisingly good with some screams and same with LALD. Better was for sure the weakest point, but still not awful. It was a really good night for Chinese Democracy fans.
Overall, this was a great show. ‘87-‘93 Axl is now 40 years older, so you won’t ever get that again. But if you’re looking for a really fun rock show, spend the money.

I’ll buy the litho. Just because. But not that shirt. I don’t get why they couldn’t have done Carolina hurricanes or Sir Walter Raleigh themes
Metallica did a really awesome Wolfpack one when they were in Raleigh a few years ago. This is horrendous and not relevant to the show or Raleigh or NC at all.

It's hit critical mass point too- virtually everything that they say has 'FN' in it now. Embarrassing.
At least they don’t verbalize Fn in their sentences. That’d be way over the line for me haha

Congrats to Frank (?) for besting Sorum and playing the worst drum take on any Guns song ever. Very sad state of affairs. Vocals are a few decades old (at least the majority), as most of us know. I've defended Axl up and down for many a year, but it's clear the guy cannot lead a band successfully. What a horrible nightmare this band turned out to be. I am astonishingly indifferent to them at this point.
Man don’t be a bitch tonight

Hopefully they do some sort of promo for Hard Skool. This song plays WAY better for radio and the 99%
Also proud of myself for not liking Absurd any less still.

Slash and Duff returning put Guns N’ Roses back in stadiums.
Agreed. GNR is back to irrelevance the day they leave again.

The prices for that merch.. Not surprised or disappointed by anything with the band anymore, but that’s comical.

That’s been my last beer run song for the entire reunion run. But I just gave it a listen and realized I’ve been missing out!
For SURE would buy a GNR or Axl solo acoustic country album.

Jeff still lives there. It's supposed to be a beautiful part of the country.
HIGHLY recommend making it to Whitefish and Glacier Natl. Park if you’re ever able to. I’ve been fortunate enough to see it in July and January and there’s no time of year it isn’t amazing.

Best song on CD? Yikes. I mean, I get opinions and all, but this song makes Riad sound like Jungle.
That’s just me coming from a place of disliking everything on CD with the sole exception of Street of Dreams. It’s not too high of a standard coming from me haha

The instrumental is amazing but the lyrics just suck so bad that it ruins the entire song.
That’s my hangup as well. The same man who wrote Estranged wrote this..

The best song on CD? Pass that pipe! I can't think of a song on CD I wouldn't rather hear than this except maybe TIL.
May very well just be the newness-ish of an official release. I’ve tried and tried to come around to CD and I know I’m an idiot and it’s a mental thing because I think I’d view it in a much more favorable light if it’d been an Axl solo record.
At any rate, I think I’ll be much more leveled down with you when I wake up tomorrow haha

I hated this song with a passion an hour ago but this studio cut is not bad at all. This would have been the best song on CD and Slash kills it. Still working on getting past the “pussy full of maggots” lyric, but I’ll get there.
Fuck GNR for their toxic treatment of me because they’ve got me for awhile again. Goddamn I love this band.

This song could be a real rocker if it weren't for the unfinished lyrics and lack of a chorus. Also the incredibly disgusting "p*ssy full of maggots"-line. As long as that line is in there I will hate that song.
I think that’s what it is for me too. I don’t even have a problem with the word p*ssy; it just seems kind of lazy to me.

Since the forum was down last night I was stuck with whatever I could find on Twitter with Google search results (since I don’t have Twitter) and setlistfm. I saw Absurd and thought that surely it was a joke and the real set list would be updated after the show.
But I’ll be damned.. they actually did it. As someone who isn’t a fan of much from the Chinese Democracy era, Silkworms/Absurd stands alone as the single worst thing to ever be conceived by this band. My World is infinitely better.
But all I’ve wanted was some new music featuring Slash (and Duff, I suppose). And on that front, GNR delivered for me. I HATE the song, but in a way I felt like it was a love letter and a subtle word of affirmation to all of us that they’re doing SOMETHING in regards to unreleased music one way or another.- 2

Not throwing salt in wounds because Scott is in my top 5 all time.. But maybe around that time he would have been just as difficult to navigate as Axl was in the 90’s, just for different reasons ie. substance abuse.
Slash and Duff have always been functioning, even at their peaks of substance abuse. Scott may not have been as functioning at the time and was viewing the VR days through a different lens as the other three.

They should've done it track by track with Clink on the AFD sessions and released as a single b-side maybe.
I always thought a proper Reckless Life in place of Anything Goes would have made AFD even better. Anything Goes is the only thing close to not great on there and even that’s a stretch to say haha

True. I was at Charlotte and Winston-Salem, Greensboro may be the last NC market they can juice minus a Boone stadium show possibly at some point?

Don’t know if it’s new to everyone else but it was new to me, I just heard Locomotive from Japan ‘92 as well. Otherworldly amazing.

As dark as it is, I genuinely thought that when Slash/Duff came back and they hit that first NA leg that Axl was terminally sick or something and giving it one last ride.
Now we all know it was just for money.

Did we back the wrong horse in our support/belief of Axl over Slash?

I think CD would have sounded like a completely different record with Slash playing on it, given his creative input was listened to.
