The Gov wrote a letter saying the dismissal of cases was not the intent. My fear is that because the Gov is against legalization, he will repeal the law allowing sale of products made with Hemp. Harris Co doesn't really surprise me. It's a large County and doesnt want their courts and $ tied up in pot cases. And now having the expense of testing for THC in all the cases. Harris Co is also largely Democratic. Other more conservative counties are still prosecuting misdemeanor pot cases with dire consequences. Texas needs pot reform. 

Texas has one of the most strict medical marijuana laws of all 50 states. But in June the Gov legalized the sale of products made with Hemp. CBD products can legally be sold and possessed. I read that some Counties which include Harris Co (Houston) DA office has dismissed all marijuana cases including felony charges (over 1 oz/ intent to distribute). The reason? The drug test used that turns illegal substance purple only tests for marijuana and doesnt distinguish between CBD and THC.

Im not hoping for fancy so maybe suede is out, thanks for the tip. I dont think the saddlery has the pics online, but this is similar to my straw hat. Mine has some open weaving flourishes instead of the bolted air vents. And mine is lighter straw colour with less sheen. I prefer flatter brims, but this ones even flatter than mine.

Im thinking of something like this leather hat. But maybe a bit lighter shade with some - is it called embroidery? Id like something like that or branding on the brim. And a different 'belt.' Im not sure though. Do you figure someone could wear something like this in a tank and jeans?

 

Cool leather hat. Has kind of an outlaw look. Go for it but have the attitude along with it. I think you can pull it off 😊 I like straw hats that look like they've been worn while working cattle. 

I think I've said before that I love cowboy hats. Especially straw hats with a well worn pair of boots. What type of leather cowboy hat are you thinking? Suede leather?  Post a pic please? Suede hats are considered dressy and look best with nicer boots. But there aren't any rules. Get the leather cowboy hat and have the attitude that goes with it and you'll rock that look. 

The residence where the pictures were taken on the porch is 1135 Fuller. The shed behind the house is no longer there. The house is a single family residence in the front with a duplex in the rear. I think this location is what BJB was saying is a private residence and is what comes up when Google hell house. Interesting fact, its valued at $1.8M and  I think it's on RnR tours of locations. 

I have friends that live in the area and there's popular hikes in the canyon. You can spend a day hiking so it wouldn't be weird at all to catch a view of Axl's gates.

People like us will never understand? You have no idea who you're talking to. And yes, in criminal cases it's not up to the victim to prosecute. In a large number the victim ends up not wanting to testify particularly in rape cases but that did not stop the state from prosecuting if there was evidence.

They could have forced you to go to court and you would have been a reluctant witness. It's not the victims choice in a criminal case to go to trial. There would be other reasons your case was dropped besides you not wanting to charge with kidnapping and rape. 

I still have a really hard time understanding how your social media just a few years ago appears as a GnR fan. 

Axl himself has said that he had difficulty with sex and had to play a role as a bad guy. I'm sure @SoulMonster can provide the interview link. Kennedy Penthouse model never says she was raped but does say she had reservations but decided to stay because she thought she'd have fun with him. She was there for sex. Most females throughout Axl's life have been there for sex. He wasn't a saint by any means but he's not a rapiat. 

As for the events described by the 15 yr old, police never would have just dropped a charge of kidnapping  in trying her up and gang rape.

I saw the Black Crowes in '91 and rather than face the cop that was yelling at me because I was walking outside holding a beer, I ran to the dumpster. Who was at the dumpster drinking and smoking? The Crowes 😊 I calmly finished my beer and wished them a great show and walked back to the waiting cop. The rest of that night is a memory I don't remember but I didn't wake up in jail. 

GnR has the best most loyal fans. I would agree that GnR fans are the most underrated but the most underrated band has to be Soul Asylum. 

Thanks Brando for the interview. Dave is such a humble nice guy who comes across extremely genuine. He is one of the great song writers of our time.

First, thank you for all you do. The shelters here are over 100% capacity and have dropped adoption fees to $10. There's a serious over population 😢 they are doing fine together. We aren't leaving them out unsupervised and have crate trained. I've always found dogs are easier to introduce than cats. Eventually Lily and Simon will work it out but I know it's difficult on you.

Is Austin worth a trip?

Austin is the capital of Texas and UT is located there. It's a very cool city with a big music scene and a lot of things to do. October is usually nice weather.  

ACL will draw more than college kids and hipsters. Austin is a big draw itself. The last concert I went to at Zilker Park was Pearl Jam in '92. Didn't like it as a venue but I'm sure they've made improvements. 

I too am hoping for a non festival show in Dallas. After all, GnR does like playing in Dallas. 🤗

When Lies was released everyone in my circle was talking about OIAM and we were like, man! Did he really just say that?! It doesn't matter how one feels about the song, we are still talking about those ever so  controversial lyrics today. That's my definition of a song well written. It remains a masterpiece to me and I absolutely love Axl's  vocals on it.
