Sadly people almost always forget the past when they're concerned about the present. It's why history repeats itself. If people are made to feel oppressed and taken advantage of in the present, they will vote for change no matter how vile that change may be. Look what happened in the US.

I've only bought shirts from 3 concerts I've been to. AC/DC 1981, GnR/ Rolling Stones 1989 and GnR '91.

To be honest, when I heard Axl would be touring with AC/DC, I didn't question whether he would pull off the vocals but would it be too weird as everything about him is GnR. But my God, he was great with AC/DC.

@soon, news reported that the dispensaryies are having a hard time keeping up with the demand in only a few days of legalization. 😆

I think it's that music can make us emotionally sad not really depressed. For me UYI II.

These are always creepy. Aging has a lot to do with genetics.

If a news is described like that Im already suspicious of the whole situation. I wouldn't be siding with anyone if I don't know what exactly happened.
Many children are criminals at a young age, unfortunately.
Not sure what's going on here but there's an adult with the kid. Who knows what they are putting that kid into...
If you click on the article shared by Axl and read the comments, the 12 year old is a legit artist and has been on Ellen which is a very popular national talk show if you're not familiar with Ellen. His rapper name is Lil' C Note. He's not a criminal.

Anything Perla does shouldn't be surprising nor news. Slash obviously has moved on and I doubt he gives a damn what she does. But the two will always have London and Cash so will never be completely not linked.

I loved Blind Melon from the first time I heard them on the radio. I was fortunate to see them in Dallas as part of a large music festival. i was traveling through Indiana at the time of his death and ended up staying at the same hotel as the band who were there for his funeral. Really nice genuine guys.

I would say Nirvana and Pearl Jam were at their peak in '91-'93. They're really the same time period as GnR UYI. People were definitely still listening to GnR.

AFD came out in 1987. Those into GN'R music were ages 12 and older. Not many five year old kid attended their shows or bought their albums. Millenials were growing up with Nirvana or Pearl Jam and everything that came after them
I think GnR is unique fans range in age from 70+ to teenagers but I would say that Millenials are a large part of their fan base. Whether they learned of GnR from their parents, older siblings, YouTube, radio or however.

@RussTCB, why are you so pessimistic about a new GnR album? You're writing as though GnR is just another band from the '80's. I do know that how people buy and listen to music is very different today but I'm not so quick to think that they're a "Legacy" act. I think anything new is going to be further development from CD and UYI. However, I'm not one that thinks a new LP is coming quickly. I do think we might get some reworked material from the vault which is fine with me either way. Hell, I'm just happy that Axl and Slash have worked out their differences and Axl genuinely seems happy.

I listened to Ep 86 this morning on the bike trainer due to storms with constant rain the next 2 days, I'll get to listen to this tomorrow morning. I can't wait! Thanks for making the trainer enjoyable 😊

Prince's estate just released 'Piano and a Microphone 1983'. It's more or less an album of him sitting at the piano working on songs. I'd kill to hear something like this from Axl
I would love an album with nothing but Axl on the piano. It would be fine with me if all covers. I simply love him on the piano.

I finally had an opportunity to listen on my drive into the office. Great episode! Roy Jr came across as so personable, knowledgeable and as a fan. Thanks!

@SoulMonster i'm pro-choice. I have friends that have terminated for genetic reasons and others who have continued with the pregnancy. It should be the parent's choice..
Completely agree, it should be a choice between the parents and their doctor. Regardless of the decision it's most difficult and it should never be questioned nor criticized.

I'm not sure about completely "legalized" but decrminalized and treated as a disease/disorder vs a crime, for sure.
Completely agree, the user arrested under today's laws should be treated as a disease and not a criminal. But if completely legalized, we would end the dangerous and deadly drug trade, improve crime rate in inner cities, our prisons would not be filled to capacity overloaded costing millions in housing drug offenders. The govt would save $ and make money by heavy sin taxation of the products. Today, there's no Govt benefit from fighting the drug war.

All schedule 1 and 2 narcostics should be legalized for any use. Illegality of them does not prevent anyone that wants to from using and leads to crime costing millions.

My job is to protect my company and find legal ways to not have to do things. Some days......
how much different my life would have been if I left school to become a GnR groupie. My housemate did just that but ended up in porno and was killed shortly after. Life changes.

I had such high hopes for Hereditary but it fell flat on so many levels. For a truly frightening film about the difficulty of a family relation with mental illness the Mexican film Atrocious is far better.
Also the movie Voices I thought captured the subject.

I hate that Slash or the editor of the interview used the word admits. It comes across as they wrote those lyrics knowing with intention that they were sexist and offensive. But they were not written with that intention. The songs were written about the time period and a lifestyle which was celebrated as sex, drugs and Rock n Roll. It was the 80's and a very different time than now.
However, saying that I doubt much has really changed. Things probably still come very easy for the rich and famous regardless of rock star, movie/tv star or sports star. Difference now is it can't be celebrated. Today, we want to believe everything is safe.

I think Axl's biggest desire is for it to not be Appetite for Destruction. I think if we're basing it on popularity and staying power it has to be AFD. But if looking at Axl it would have to be Estranged and November Rain.

@tsinindy, I binged Sons of Anarchy last year but agree it's not a series that I'll watch again even though I really liked it. Have you watched the Mayans? I wasn't excited about it but I recorded episode 1 and it got me hooked. Obviously very closely related to SOA and it too has its version of Jax Teller and Tara story.
Other shows recording now:
Fear the Walking Dead
Purge
Ballers

Will President Trump get a Cease and Desist Letter for using November Rain at his Rallies
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS

Trump is a GnR fan. He's compared himself to Axl. I'm sure that is cringeworthy to Axl as is him playing GnR songs at his rally. I'm not sure that November Rain and KOHD are good rally songs.
