Oh.... Dear sweet lord... Are you suggesting that Silkworms might still make a GNR akvun someday?! I sincerely hope that's never the case. I would be all for HS and AS showing up on a GNR album but I can't see anything being done to SW that would make it listenable.

I don’t think it’s a great song. But what if it was framed as more of a weird mid album coda? With some new vocals and guitar parts? Like an absurd (pun intended) industrial double talkin jive.

I’ve just seen the list of things from the locker there’s 4 CDs of material “rough mixes” dated March-Nov 2000. Quite surprised that they feature Shacklers, I’m Sorry and If the world. Looks like that’s when all the songwriting was finished then.

Also looking at the dates looks like it could well be Bucket on that outro shredding in hardschool as it’s dated Nov. I’m assuming that’s the version that leaked out. Whereas the other things I think are from the old Josh/Brian comparison CD.

So if the dates are correct it really does look as though bucket came on board, added a few songs and tried to get the thing wrapped up.

It is definitely Bucket on the outro

It's kind of amazing that Axl firing Tom Zutaut in 2001 led to the album being delayed, and now 18 years later the set of CD's he was forced to abandon has led to Axl's vault being emptied

Can we all agree firing Tom was one of Axl's biggest mistakes

Great post. Tom Zutaut also suggested that Axl tour and release music under his own name which was very solid advice.

Alright so who’s knows stuff about any of these tracks?

All I have heard is that Perhaps is a very good piano based song with a Brian May solo. That state of grace has a mean bridge but dumb lyrics. That dummy is worthless in its current form. That quick song is a good grungy rocker.

    Anyone else?

Plus the label trying to force his hand towards a reuinion. Hence why they rejected the 2010 album, they didn't want to waste the last contracted release and let some other label reap the benefits of a possible reunion album later down the line. CD was only released because the Best Buy deal gave them a chance to instantly make their $13 mil back.

Are you sure they only owe one more record?
