Haven't heard it but it seems like it's not that great of a song? Not as great as expected? What do you all think?
It’s good. I think a reworked version with Slash has the potential to be great

Did Axl walk off during OMG or did his mic just stop working? Was his voice similar to other 2001/02 shows or did he sound more like 2006? (He looked physically a lot more like 2006 Axl than Rio 2001 Axl, so I've always wondered if his vocals were more raspy at those shows).
Yes his mic did stop working and he did walk off. Came back later and said that of course everything was going wrong because it was the 1st show he had asked to do in 8 years. Robin threw his guitar down at the end. Robin sang most of the song. Similar to other 2001/02 shows vocally.

Was 12/29/01 a good show? I wish a video of that one existed.
It was a little off in the beginning but after that....amazing. Axl was in insane shape and it was the original CD band. I literally to this day have never been that excited.

I've read some different things... apparently there's only a handful of "complete" songs/demos, and then there's stuff like "Dummy" which is 6 mins long but it has the same few lyrics repeating over and over....
Seattle 2016 was great! That was the best performance of Coma I've heard them do. Out Ta Get Me and Catcher In The Rye were really good too. Which Vegas shows were you at?
I was actually at the Vegas 01 dec 29th show, Vegas NYE 2011, and one of those November 2012 shows not sure of the exact date. But Izzy was there! Oh and the second Vegas 2016 show. Hated that Axl was in the fucking chair but he sounded awesome!

So maybe some parts of ideas and whatnot? I’d buy that. Still. These songs are amazing and I’m enjoying them but these songs all need some work

He had confirmed a list that was originally posted elsewhere, which was about 15 songs with vocals without counting versions of songs that were on CD.
Now 15....I may have done that deal. Then why the earlier posts claiming 7ish?

Technically we'd never heard "Prostitute 1999, Version 3" before, so he wasn't really lying, lol.
I’m an insane fan and I would not do that deal. BTW we were at a few of the same guns shows @Gordon Comstock

That's been posted on other sites a few times now.
The songs that are most intriguing for me are "Perhaps" (the 3rd Brian May song) and "Nothing" (supposedly has a GNR-meets-Pink Floyd kind of vibe).
So someone was willing to pony up 6-12 grand for 7 unheard songs with vocals? That’s insane. Don’t get me wrong the 1999 version of CD is interesting. And I’m sure some of those instrumentals are cool. But man.....

The only songs from the locker with vocals that haven’t leaked are:
- Quick Song
- State of Grace
- Perhaps
- Nothing
- Eye on You
- Silkworms
- KOHD acoustic
Just curious how you know?

This definitely should have been on the album instead of Riad. Same length. This is a much better, more fun, upbeat song. It could have been played live, it’s reasonably catchy.

I’m guessing this song will sound way better with Slash, Duff, and a decent mix. I hope Axl re-did his vocals parts as well (but I doubt it) It sorted has a yesterdays vibe to it. Maybe more so w Slash.
-
Decent tune. Definitely has a late 90s pop sensibility. Whoever described this as Glam rock mixed w November Rain was way off!

That new clip does sound like third eye blind. Did someone just speed up the tempo? Lol

I'm thinking that the piano melody that starts at 1:11 is probably Atlas Shrugged. I mean the melody is pretty much the same, only slightly slower. But you could easily sing along to that piano melody using Atlas lyrics
Sure sounds like it

How do we know its the "99 recordings"?
I suppose it’s because Axl apparently recorded a lot of his vocals from CD in 1999. Most of these demos were put together in 2000. Read that last sentence the year 2000. It’s so insane these songs have just been sitting on the shelf for 20 years.

I wonder what track number Atlas would have been on the album - Ron mentioned they were trying to fit it on the disc at the last minute, but he didn't say if it was going to be the last track
Someone should tweet him and ask if he remembers
Mid tempo 4 min ballad? Probably between scraped and riad or right after sorry.

I wonder what the tracklist of the 1999/2000 version of the record was supposed to be.
Probably looked a lot like that picture that was going around with most of the Chinese songs plus Perhaps, Atlas, and Silkworms.

So we are made assume this person has all of the storage locker songs, just the 2000 intentions version of CD, a little of both? Is anyone in the know?

The clip sounds promising. I wonder what the best song is off all those storage locker demos.....

I love how the song seems to gallop

I heard the same thing. Wonder if it’s going to make it out? I haven’t heard the Atlas remix. I heard it’s a much better mix.
