While flipping thru youtube vids last night, my wife and I watched the latest NITL selects. She likes GnR, we have the CDs in the car, etc. She thought it was absolutely terrible because of Axls voice, she said the band sounded like bad karaoke. We made it to SCOM and had to turn it off because it sounded like a parody. He has to do something about it.

Except the chorus part Slither was great

I wonder who said "hey let's upload Slither, Rocket Queen, YCBM and SCOM. Axl always sounds great on those songs!"

They could not have picked worse songs than that. Maybe the first performance of Dead Horse from 2019.

    RELEASE SOMETHING FROM 1986-1993 OR 2006/7, 2009/10.

    2016 would be okay too.

Also I can't believe people are into this.

it's called nitl selects for a reason

True. I remember one kid in my class who held his ''spreekbeurt'' on GnR and he showed a picture of every bandmember and the girls just judged them on their looks, having no clue who the singer or lead guitarist was, except for maybe one or two. I remember some of them even liking Dizzy because of his hair, which to be fair, looked better than Axl's stringy, thinning hair.

Stringy thinning hair? You take that back :max:

  4. Duff looks bloated in 93 mostly, But I really liked his 91 or 92 version. If someone likes chill/polite type rockstars, Duff is the best option. And the Cher incident is totally possible.

Someone came over to me and said, “Cher really wants to meet Duff.”
The crowd was full of celebs that evening—people like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keanu Reeves, and Johnny Depp.

I turned to Duff, who was standing off to one side, and I yelled, “Duff, Cher wants to suck your
    dick!”
    “Oh no,” he groaned.
“Come on, Duff,” I said. “Let’s go meet her.”
Duff seemed to deflate a little, but he mumbled, “OK.”
So we went over to see Cher, who held out her hand to Duff and said, “Hi” in that deep voice of hers. She was really devouring him with her
    eyes.
Right then, John came over to tell us it was time to start the show,
    saving Duff.

I don’t understand why everyone thinks the songs are about Steph Seymour, he dated women after her and could have been in a stable relationship with some chick after 1993 that went longer than 2 years.  I remember that he was with the chick from the SIDHY video.

Jennifer didn't have an ugly split with Axl. SS doesn't deserve all the hype she gets, both from Axl and gnr fans. She's just an glorified groupie.

Axl dont want u to idolize him anyway.

But some of you are so fucking interested. judging the guys, calling them names and behave like assholes, so i guess your no better. Great moral!

There are humans behind the music, and they made the music you came to love so damn much you decided to join a internet forum, show at least some respect.

    And to Quote Axl himself

Don't hail me an don't idolize the ink
Or I've failed in my attentions
Can you find the missing link
Your only validation is in living your own life
Vicarious existence is a fucking waste of time

Off topic, don't damn me is very underrated.

Arguably, the topic of killing a woman is nothing to joke about, either, especially if it's a man with an actual history of abusing women.

Unlike OIAM, UTLH has played a role in several real life cases of murder. At least two murderers used the song apperantly to lift up their spirits before committing the deed. I'd render a guess there have been many more abusers who have similarly used the song because the cases we hear about are probably just the tip of the iceberg. That's why I find it rather ridiculous that Axl apparently blames CITR (the book) for Lennon's murder. Yet he continues to sing UTLH without a care in the world.

Isn't UTLH about Izzy's dog? If Dexter acts as an inspiration, is that the writer's fault?

When it comes to intros, I really love the beginning of You Could Be Mine. Couldn't be any more badass.

    What's your fav vocal intro?

Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails released 2 albums, The Strokes, In This Moment, X, Testament, Nightwish, Airbourne Toxic Event, Trivium, The Used, Awolnation (personal favorite band) and everyones favorite band: Asking Alexandria. As well as countless popular rappers (Drake and now Future to name a few) and countless pop artists. The 1975 is dropping an album this friday

I don't want gnr to release their long awaited album digitally. But they are sitting on a buttload of proshots from each era, why they fail to release them like metallica is beyond me.

  10. This whole concert is such an win-win for Axl & GNR. He got to sing "We will rock you" and Bohemian Rhapsody", two of the most popular Queen songs. He shared the stage with Queen and Elton John, two of his childhood heroes. Gnr played Knocking on Heaven's door and Paradise City, both songs matched the situation perfectly. Their performance is awesome (Slash is in a great mood).

Then There's that thing about One in a million and many people didn't want Axl to play there. During Paradise city one placard says, "Axl, Piss off". And Axl says " shove it" during the intro. Elton John was initially not that happy about sharing stage with him, but later he loved him so much that he joined with him in MTV awards. Don't know about hall of fame though. Did Elton chose him for giving the induction?

Also, Axl clutching Duff during "we are the champion"  because Duff was so smashed that he couldn't stand right 😁
