I just had a radical idea I came up with literally about a minute ago. They should just pay Izzy the equal pay he is clamoring for in order to return. If he leaves again, he is forced to give back that money. 🤔
You don't in any job give someone a pay raise and then ask for it back just cos they resign somewhere down the line.

No. It'd be one thing to rerecord a couple of CD songs for a new best of or something. But I'd rather have a double album or two new albums with the remainder of the CD material with Slash and Duff adding their touch and also some completely new songs.

Izzy should have remained full Partner. You can remain in the Partnership without being an active Musician for Guns N'Roses. He chose a big payout. It's his own fault he isn't being offered equal pay.
I agree with this. But I'd also add that Izzy's not maintained the high profile Slash n Duff have with Velvet Revolver, their solo albums, touring etc... Everyone instantly knows the name Slash. Duff to a lesser degree. No one outside of diehard fans knows who Izzy is.

That would've been a better title for a live album/Blu Ray.

Bullshit.
Izzy wanted his fair share. Duff and Slash caved. Steven is a completely different sad story altogether.
If they announced the return of Izzy and Steven, ticket sales would rocket up.
His fair share? Izzy, Slash and Duff all left the band. Slash n Duff opted to remain in the business partnership. Izzy chose to be paid out. Which is fine. His choice. But naturally that means that if he returned he wouldn't get the same. And there's nothing unfair about that.
Slash n Duff have also remained in the public eye with Velvet Revolver and their solo projects, touring etc... Izzy's made no effort to promote himself. Again if he enjoys the quiet life good for him. But that also means that outside of a bunch of diehard fans no one knows or cares about Izzy. They're happy enough that Slash n Duff (who they're familiar with) are still there.
Izzy's not stupid. He knew he get offered a decent amount. But not the same as the big three. He knew it'd turn into a big tour and machine again and wasn't willing to commit. The whole not splitting the loot thing is his excuse.

This is off the top of my head, and rag and drag me if you want, but doesn't Izzy have any close Family like a Son or Nephew who can fill his position for him in Current Guns N'Roses like Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son did for AC/DC? 🤔
They only extended an offer to Izzy cos he was an original member. But they've got Richard. Or if they needed someone to fill in there's Gilby. Completely different scenario to Ac/DC.

Didn't you know Izzy, Gilby and Richard are triplets 🤣?

And a sense of closure that the band they once loved, is no longer interested in new music and the biggest nostalgic act. Which is cool for them, but I still hold this fantasy that we'll get an uncompressed cd 2 w/ Slash and Duff.
I know he's not a current member. But really good recent ish solo album was Gilby's The Gospel Truth.

It's new to us so that's all that matters!
Oh I agree. Whatever's gonna get us an initial new album quicker is best. Start from scratch on another album after.

When you say new music. Does it count as new if Slash n Duff add parts to CD era songs with 20 year old vocals? Cos if we get any more songs and an album it'll be that first. Then if we're lucky Slash will talk Axl into doing an album of all new stuff. We know Slash n Duff can churn albums out fast. Axl will be the question mark.

I am a fan of the music, not the band members.
But the band members created the music 😉.

This poll surprised me. Buckethead and DJ Ashba got more votes than Duff and Steven , who are actually part of the original 5 Gunners! 😳😱😬 I thought for sure Duff and Steven would get way more votes than Buckethead and DJ Ashba! 😬😱😳
We need a proper poll with Tracii, Ole and Rob included. Along with Axl and Izzy they were in the original five 😁.

Yeah, and his bongo skills are from another planet. His wikipedia doesn't even mention his crazy bongo skills. Can you believe that?
There ya go. Nice to finally see Diz getting some recognition 🤣.

I don't see much of hate here regarding Dizzy. More like towards Ashba or Frank. Dizzy's been in the band for 3 decades; on the other hand, he's not a guitarist, so one would hardly expect many people to vote for him as their favourite member. That's not hate, though.
Maybe hate is the wrong word. It's more that people take the piss outta him and undermine his contributions to the band.
I actually really like Frank's drumming. He's got the right mix of Steven's groove and Matt's technicality.
DJ had great enthusiasm. I think the top hat were always gonna draw unfavorable comparisons with Slash. He could be a bit try hard live. I don't dislike him but I can understand why some do.

Seriously, no votes for Dizzy?
Even tho he's not earning quite what Axl Slash and Duff are, I'm sure he's making enough to not care about votes on a fan board.
I respect Dizzy for what he does. Plays keys where needed. Adds percussion where keys would be intrusive. And when he joined it's not like he replaced anyone. I don't get why so many hate on the guy. If anyone here who was a musician and got asked to join an established band and make good money would you say no?

Matt is great but played nothing like Steven. I find Brain’s drumming more considerate of Adlers style
Steven had a great groove to his drumming. Matt was a great technical drummer. Brain and Frank are a good mix of both.

I gave my vote to Gilby. OK he didn't get to make his mark playing on any original GN'R material. But his own albums rock, he's remained a down to earth nice guy and always has time for his fans. Never heard anyone say they've had a bad experience with him.

I posted a new topic in the downloads section today asking if anyone had audio recordings of the recent Wellington and Auckland shows. Looks like it's been deleted. Just wondering why exactly.

Tbh i dont like Myles. I find he makes the conspirator records pretty boring now.
Would rather slash, duff and matt back in VR with a new singer or Slash do another album with feature vocalists.
My three favourite Slash albums are the two Snakepit albums and the one with the guest singers.

Slash/duff jointly leaving may restart another Velvet Revolver hopefully with Izzy also back on board.
Slash won't do that. He's got a good thing going we Myles and The Conspirators. Izzy will ditch any project when it gets too big and he's asked to commit.

Sorum as a drummer has been strange, I thought his playing on the illusions tour was heavy handed, lacked the skip that Adlers drumming had, but he had a different drum sound with Velvet Revolver and he sounded brilliant.
It's interesting the different ways fans see/hear things. I like the Velvet Revolver albums for what they are. But when I listen to them I don't hear Matt playing to his full potential. I never thought his playing on the Illusion's tour was heavy handed. I just saw someone giving it everything.

Was Izzy really asking for a lot of money to come back?

This is the more likely option. It's a miracle that with the exception of Ole that no one from GN'R died from their various habits.
