I can’t see them spending the money to do this without having something to promote
The car should’ve had HARDSKOOL in huge lettering written on a side with a giant school bell on the hood

When Axl fugures out a band needs much more than 'reliable and chep' guitarist/drummer, they will deliver something better than Absurd or Hardskool.
Idk, they delivered an amazing record with cheap and reliable in 2008.
They might have the same problem when it comes to writing new stuff that they had in 96. As far as we know they’re a touring band and that’s it

Wow wow wow...where's the there's-a-lot-of-material-that-could-be-released-soon part? Bring old interviews back!
Real emphasis on the COULD part 🤣

I understand where you're coming from, but Richard seems to handle Bucket's parts very well when he does play them live. (Like the second solo on CD) I wish they utilized him more for the CD song solos.
Completely agree. In my opinion, Richard is the best NuGuns player, his playing style combines the nu with the old much better than Bumblefoot did. I’m happy he’s been in the band this long and got a little spotlight on Absurd

Interesting that he said as a kid he wasn't into GNR. He's in the same age range as Slash, Duff and Axl. Axl is 4 years older than Richard. To me, that's an odd statement.
They were in their early 20s when appetite was booming so I guess that would make him pretty much kid?

From the private show in Moscow. Thank you Frans by take care us
This is dope, do you know when and where I can find more of it?

Now that you've pointed that out, the album actually sounds dated and sounded dated on 2008.
I never thought it sounded dated, then again I never really compared it to any Nu Metal. What an era in music…“Chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water” 🤣
as far as the mixing goes, I think it might be as high as GNR will ever reach. CD still sounds ahead of its time, especially when comparing it to Hard Skool

You crazy. Why would you think that??
According to my insider sources, Axl REALLY wanted to put the record out years ago but the label thought the new album thread on the fan forum needed to be at the least 1000 pages before it could come out. It’s our fault

This is great! Interesting to read about Axl’s interest in industrial rock, unfortunate that fizzled out by mid 2000s. Whenever I listen to OMG and State of Grace, I always wonder what the “2000 Intentions” album would’ve been like

He was required by contract to airdrop those voice memos straight to Axl’s vault 🤣

Rumor has it the contract with Slash and Duff was for six years (2016 - 2022) but due to pandemic holdup they do some more dates this year and that's it. After that Axl will announce the debut of Rosebud, an entirely new concept of a "band" with him on lead vocals and other singers (Carrie Underwood, Dave Grohl) for some duets, plus a variety of guitarists (Izzy, Slash, Angus Young, DJ Ashba and some say even Buckethead was asked) performing mostly covers, instrumental jams and a few GNR classics. They will release a double-album around christmas, but no tour except a one-off on new years. After the Rosebud project, the original AFD lineup will re-unite for Las Vegas residency officially announced with their performance at the Superbowl in 2024.
LMAO shit
Honestly I think I’d rather listen to a low pressure solo project with a bunch of collaborations than Slash and Duff attempt to recreate Robin and Tommy songs 😂

I have a hard time believing Duff really feels that way about Frank. I guess it’s hard to tell because I’m not the bassist but it seems like they get along on stage and from a fan/listener perspective, I never really had a problem with Frank’s drumming.
I don’t really remember anyone complaining until the reunion started. I doubt he is the one who decides the tempo for the songs, and I don’t really recall him ever fucking up his parts (quote me with a video if I’m wrong...) If anything, slash and axl are the two weak links of the live show and all the fan animosity towards Frank is because people want to see Steve or Matt because it’s nostalgic

You have to wonder why there's only two shows announced for this year so far. Additionally, Slash is usually on tour. SMKC was supposed be touring by now. They are not. Instead Myles is touring with Alter Bridge. Furthermore, Myles gave a questionable response when asked about the future of SMKC. The response didn't seem too positive for the future of SMKC even though they are supposed to tour next year. Duff is touring with Iggy for one month in April.
In my opinion, something is happening. That’s a fair point considering axl has pretty much toured every year in past 20 with exclusion of COVID and the years that something WAS happening (recording/releasing Chinese, and reuniting with slash and Duff)
maybe this year being a break means they’re gearing up for something huge. I do believe there is more music coming inevitably. There is no way they’d end their legacy with silkworms.

If I had my way, I’d love to listen to the 95-97 demos.
Do you think there’s stuff aside from its 5 o’ Clock Somewhere?
would love to hear whatever Axl, Paul, and Dizzy had done during those years

I thought this was funny

I think pre 1990 they were all equally important. Appetite wouldn’t be the same without Axl’s vocals, Slash and Izzy’s playing, Duff and Stevens groove, etc…
a true band before they fired Steven

There's plenty of facebook and instagram comment sections for them to look at where people are blue in the face asking for Pretty tied up and a host of other songs. Not gonna happen.
Lol I love when they ask on social media “what do you want to hear tonight?” Like they aren’t going to play the same setlist they’ve been playing for 6 years
in reality, kudos to them to atleast pulling deep cuts like prostitute and dead horse every now and then

Man this is Axl’s second peak, what a performance
I couldn’t help but think that too. I appreciate his effort to sound great in 2016 one last time at least.
