I guess Axl didn't need Izzy. Seems like they tried to work something out and maybe Izzy was offended. I think it's a lot of money to give for someone like Izzy when Richard is in the band and is dependable and seems to get along well with Slash.

I think that they should have given him what he asked for anyway. Even the 1 song he released during that time (FP Money) reminded me what he can do for Gn'R even today, and Duff talked about how he wants to write with Izzy for the rest of his life not long before it turned to shit between them, not to mention his contributions to Gn'R, but I think Axl just didn't see the value.

If they do write new material, I hope they being Izzy back

despite the tour not working out with them, I’ hope they’re still on good terms. Ik gnr wished Izzy a happy birthday this year on Instagram so it seems like it lol

I have a question regarding Mr Brownstone on Live Era… Duffs backing vocals during the chorus sound so off, it clearly isn’t Duff 🤣 I believe it sounds like Robin? Is that actually confirmed? Is it just common knowledge to the hardcore fan base that it isn’t duff?

I’ve heard that and it does sounds like Robin. Doesn’t really sound like Duff or Izzy to me but who knows

maybe they pulled that off of the 1999 re-recorded appetite 😂

also I always thought Mr Brownstone was done really well by the 2002 band. I liked Robins playing and back up vocals. Whenever I hear Robin doing a slash solo it sounds like a Chinese Democracy version of the song compared to when Dj plays it, it sounds like a GNR tribute band.

  3. I'm sure this has been discussed a lot but I figured I'd bring it up. I was listening to Night Train from Vegas off the album and it still amuses me that they re did the vocals. I wonder if he just didn't like how raw they were during the UYI tour? Regardless, I find his vocals in 1999 to be some of the best work he's done. Perfect ratio of rasp and clean tone. Oh My God, some of CD, and Live Era :headbang:

When I watched the Kimmel interview, I remember noticing two things: 1. the bling you mentioned and 2. how nervous and out of his element Axl seemed in a more "general" interview that was not specifically about music (like the Trunk interviews). Axl warmed up, but I think they relied on the "let's pull out items to discuss that Axl's management pre-approved" more than any talk show guest I have ever seen. To be fair though, multiple people texted me after seeing it that night to say he seemed really funny/relatable/charming, so I guess the appearance served its purpose.

I remember being so excited to see him on Kimmel in 2016 and being so disappointed he never came on. That would've been so awesome. Had my DVR set and everything

  5. For me:

     -TWAT

    - Shacklers Revenge ( I LOVE Bumblefoots solo even though I'm mad that they dubbed Bumble on the most Buckethead x GNR sounding song on the album)

    - Sorry

    - IRS -(all of them)

    - If The World (tied with pretty much every other solo. This album doesn't have a bad solo on it. They're all pretty fuckin top tier
