Buckcherry is touring with a skeleton crew opening for people like kid rock and playing shows with hinder in the early days of the pandemic. I doubt Slash would go anywhere near that lol

Josh played with slash, duff, and matt before VR was officially formed. Always thought Buckcherry sounded a lot like VR stylistically. Would be cool but I can only dream

Was Caram the producer? To me the song has a feel of: Do it. Do it now. Forget it. I don't care. Release it now.

The new guitars on Hard Skool and the lack of that slow intro is what bugs me, but maybe the songs have that effect in many of us is because they leaked many years before, we've got used to these songs, and they are just old songs. It's like rerecording You Could Be Mine with different guitars.

Yeah the old intro was beautiful. The whole school bell feels like such a gimmick but I do like duffs bass line

WHAT WAS THE LOGIC TO BUTCHER HARD SKOOL?

I’m curious as to what happen there myself

Caram did a beautiful job on CD (even Absurd is solid) but Hard Skool is just so LOUD. The least dynamic range on any gnr track.

anyone wondering what I’m talking about, go listen to the whole song. It’s like the same energy all the way thru. To be fair, that’s just how songs a mixed and mastered these days, so unfortunate. I’d get a headache listening to a whole album of near clipping 😂

just because you gather all the people that were responsible for something great that happened more than 3 decades ago when they were very different people doesn't mean the result would have anything to do with what they managed to create once.

Very true, I like to dream though 🤣

Also agree that any modern attempt to appetite styled lyrics would probably come off as off putting from a 60 year old man

  6. Was chattin with a buddy/fellow gnr fan at work the other day and we were talking about how it would be cool to get the rest of the franksteined “GnFn’R” post-CD tracks but at the end of the day wouldn’t it be cool if they just finished their legacy with an album by the original 5 guys?

a proper sequel to appetite with the “real gnr” would be such a cool way to finish things off and I’d give my left nut for it

having Steven and Izzy back just for the studio would be so cool and wouldn’t imply that they have to tour with that lineup

No... But in the real world if the singer sounds awful then it doesn't matter what the rest of the band does.

Yes, he's up on stage running around and trying... But on average he sounds bad/poor on the majority of gigs so... Gnr could play a 6hr gig and Axl could run at full speed all over the stage but if he voice isn't good then it doesn't matter a shit.

Gnr fans are the only music fans that go to a gig and say "it doesn't matter if he sings bad, the other guys are great"🤣 it's so fucking dumb🤣

I'm open to the extension 😄

i think for most people on this forum, it’s more about seeing your favorite band live.

if i weren’t a huge fan, the show would need to be fantastic
