I'm open for any form of release - digital, physical, for free, for a chosen price, whatever. One song, five, a full album, an anthology - EVERYthing would be great.

I truly feel Axl is only now interested in moving forward with the release of CD ll.

Why? Are there any signs to this that I missed?

I like the idea. At some point, the stage will be crowded with bluesy, top-hat(ish) wearing guitarists playing 10-minute-solos. Just like the olden times, but multiplied!

Every time I read that VR is searching a singer, all I can think is "Just release the goddamn tapes of VR with Corey Taylor FFS". I so desperately want to hear that stuff.

I totally can understand that they decided that they can't work together in the long run, but burying stuff that's already existing? So unnecessary in 2014. Just release it as a free download. *sigh*

I think it's a good thing that the South America Residency works out for them.

2006 was hand's down the best year for NuGNR. Axl looked great. Sounded great. Band was tight. New Songs. Massive tours. Love seeing this band from that tour.

So, while many of us thought that he maybe wasn't physically able to perform on this level anymore and were willing to cut the guy some slack, we now know that he can if he wants to - basically meaning that he didn't give a shit the last years.

So, so, so many critics! Why can't you people just be happy he gave an interview?

Maaaaaybeeee because we heard stuff like this time and time again over the last 15 years and in 9 of 10 cases, nothing followed.

So interviews like this simply don't stir anything in me anymore. Why would they?

Do I think he believes in what he's saying? Absolutely.

Do I think that results will manifest in reality in the foreseeable future? Absolutely not.

Sorry, but after more than a decade of such interviews, I just can't believe anymore.

I'll be the happiest bunny if an album will come out someday, but I won't hold my breath for it - which by coincidence is actually what Axl wants, if I understood him right these past years.

But it is a band almost 30 years in the making. You eventually have to get realistic about things

... meaning? There are plenty of bands in their 30s now and they are productive.

I fully understand that we'll never see again a high-jumoing, heroin-slim Axl again - that's realistic, agreed. And it's totally fine. I'd be really happy, for example, if the created a cool, mellow acoustic album, or whatever. If realism means not to dream of re-living yesterday's glory and style, okay.

But acceptiung that now music is released, that no real communication is happening and the the performances would be lacklustre even if they were given by a SIXTYtwo year old Axl? That's not realism, that would be ... generosity. It's okay if one wants to do this, but don't call it "being realistic" as if we all had to agree upon this point of view due to common sense.

For me, most of the forums have become about the posters, not about the band, and it is sad to see, but what can you do

Release music. Give interviews. release music. Post facebook status updates with content. Release music.

Seriously, if a band wants to be talked about, said band has to do what defines a band: Make music. And since after a while everything is said about about the released music, they have to release new music.

That's what a band can do to make forums talk about the band again.
