One of the best Axl lines of all time is the Nightrain from 2009 where he just does the first verse an entire octave higher. Not sure if it’s cheating to count that in its entirety for this thread, but ive never seen him do something like that before or after, and it was one of the best and most underrated Axl moments of all time.
I remember that, was one of those 'where the fuck did that come from?' moments

Leave Me Alone, was that the alternative name for Monsters or General?
The bridge in "Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul aka The Soul Monster (working title Leave Me Alone)" which will no doubt end up "Soul Monster". I think it's our most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which having said that I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterwards. (Axl Rose , Here Today... Gone to Hell Forum, Dec. 2008)

I wonder if the Elvis Prestley song Axl covered will be released as a solo song or as a GN'R song?
Given it was meant to sound industrial I wonder if it was something played for Bruce Berman when they were in talks back in the day for him/gnr to have a song in Heavy Metal 2. Something like that would have worked for that project

The last 'I would do anything for you' in TWAT, The same part in IRS Karice mentioned. Also 'Who ever thought I'd be around to shed a light on you? in Monsters.

Two new lostwave tracks getting some real recent traction in getting solved.
Unknown Song - Waste My Time
Unknown Song - Stop Making Me CryThe second one screams 1993/4 UK pop charts style, the keys are like something you might hear from a Factory Records era song that didn't quite make it.
Any movement on ' Everyone knows that'?

What’s the over / under on Axl being on Metal Chestnut in some form?
If he was, label & Slash's team would promote it I think, so I doubt it.

I could see it being specific for that remix. Especially since we know he recorded vocals for This I Love version 2. But it certainly could be something older. But with what we’ve seen from the locker leaks there’s a pretty good chance it’s not a sample from a full song. So I don’t think there’s any narrowing it down. I think Blood in the Water is just what it is. Those vocals only. Probably had no instrumental and Prostitute fit it.
I mean realistically we will probably never know for sure either way, but one of the small things that kind of leads me to think it might not just be vocals created for the remix are the voices in the background.
The spoken word parts of 'blood in the water' sound like Brain or at least somebody else that's not Axl & if the vocals for the song were done just for the remix then why not have Axl do those parts as well. Where as if Brain just sampled a line from another song, or even an unused acapella idea or something then it seems a bit more logical he would have to fill it out himself with those backing vocals (if you can really call them that). TBF the best person to ask him would be @Gambit83 if he ever has him on his show again. I hope he does because I'd like to know for sure either way

It was registered as "The General and Monsters" on SESAC (which collects publishing royalties for Axl) and other databases that got the data from Universal (which has Axl's publishing).
On GMR, though (which collects royalties for Slash and Duff) it has been registered just as "The General" (It should be on BMI, too, which collects royalties for Brain and his friends, but it hasn't appeared there yet).
So I think your theory that the songs were registered together so that UMG could take down Monsters as The General (without giving away that it's a different song) is very plausible.
Yeah it was the only thing that really made sense at that time. If correct then it's kind of weird that recreations of monsters by Evader and others might have made them change how they registered it.
Of course when Evader made that song he titled it The General, & so did I with that video I did where i tried to pick out the lyrics. Ironically the only word I did get right was 'Monsters' lol In retrospect I should have figured it out from that.

Has there been any mention of the title Monsters other than the file name on the leaked track? Time will tell regardless when it officially drops, keeping 'Chicken Dinner' in mind here! Phenomenal tune. Phenomenal vox. More of it please, Axl!
Yeah I think when it was registered (through ASCAP?) it was as 'The General & Monsters' I think that's how it was worded, @Blackstar found it I think.

Since I Don't Have You music video looks like a fever dream. 💡🤔 There should have have been a shot of Axl sleeping, sweating, has a red face, and a thermometer on his nightstand reads, 103." And then we see the main music video and we understand that Axl is having a fever dream and it would all make sense. 💡🤔😀
Ah but it can't be as Axl sings 'I don't have hopes & dreams'

I still dont understand how The General & Monsters helps to narrow down where Blood in the Water vocals comes from. We have literally no information regarding this. How do we know that's even from an unreleased song? Axl could have recorded that specifically for that remix, like how he went back and recorded This I Love.
Well i guess it narrows it down slightly in the sense that we know the BITW vocals don't come from either of those two songs and we didn't know that before. At least i think that's what he was getting at. Only @Its Tino knows what he meant.
Vocals could be from another song or specifically for that remix I guess but if they were just for the remix then why only one line? who knows for sure

I'm guessing that he means that while the music comes from prostitute, the vocals are probably re purposed from an unreleased song.

Let's rewind the clock back to 1991 for a minute. Have seen mentions in the last week that Sebastian Bach has said he'd love to reunite with Skid Row for the fans with the news that Erik Gronwall has stepped down due to his health. They've got Lzzy Hale for some shows short term. I know there is some barriers to be broken down for this to happen with all that has happened. However the thought of having a Skid Row opening for Guns would be a great sell. Seb could come out for My Michelle during their set. Sure Axl would enjoy having Seb around.
Saw them at Wembley in 91 where they done a sterling job warming up the crowd before Guns.
MC no thanks, has no appeal whatsoever for me.
skid row with bach back opening would be great

The live performance in the first part of that song sounds horrible. I wish they used the full studio version instead for the movie.
There were suggestions on fan sites and rock music blogs way back in the day that it being a half live and half studio version was a compromise. If I remember right the idea was that Axl wanted a full studio rerecorded version in the movie and soundtrack, but Slash and Duff objected hence it's not on the soundtrack at all and is half and half. Who knows if that's true or not. It's one of those weird things the band has done and then basically pretends never happened.

I believe he was L!VE FREE, a mod most known from being on the old CD forum. He had a lot of material, according to legend.
Claimed to have The General & said it was kind of similar to Sorry in that it was doomy Sabbath sounding. Also was meant to have Silkworms & OMG no idea if they were the versions that leaked back in the day or not though.

Don't be daft
Is that a response to my post? or just a random question. Perhaps you guys like gaslighting people with issues, i don't know that's up to you i guess. Maybe you do it in real life too.
daft cunts. Nobody respects guys who mock people with those conditions, but perhaps your into that, each too there own I guess.
I will say this... Mods clearly have no issue with it, so they won't have an issue when people do it back to those that do it will they?

Perhaps block her then, so you don't have to read her threads.
Do you do this shit in real life? I mean if you find a woman with autism do you constantly make passive aggressive comments to them? It's every thread at this point.

Possible, the Shacklers Revenge remix was mixed by Sean Beresford in December 2007, so it's logical to think other remixes were done around same timeframe. & also people heard some of these back stage in 2010 which narrows it down.
