Thanks for the help, but degaussing isnt available on the laptop. I've tried lowering the screen resolution and colour settings, as Compaq suggest, but it's not working! I've also treid to change these settings in safe mode and nothing's happening! Please help!!

Ive had trojan horse a few times- I use Norton Internet Security, that normally sorts it out. I think it normally quarrantines the affected file. However, I have some recollection of getting the file name, putting it into "search" in documents, it would find the file, which you then can delete, and then delete from your trash bin. done.

I want to have a go at designing a website, as it will be good experience to put down on my CV when I apply for Graphic Design degrees. Does anyone know of any sites offer free websites Or is anybody here setting up their website and would like me to design it for them? PM me or leave me a reply here if you think you can help. (I'm an Art and Photography student currntly, so expect something a little quirky lol!)

I have a 1 and a half year old Compaq laptop, and when I use it recently, the image on the screen shakes up and down, the colours can invert etc. I sort this out by pressing in on the sides of the screen until the mouse starts to respond properly again and the screen is back to normal- although can go haywire any second! Is there any way I can prevent this from happening - I NEED to make this laptop last me another 5 years (through uni) or my parents will go mental. I've done a virus check and there are no viruses.

A few weeks ago the guy who did our Tesco delivery said that Guns 2 Roses are playing in York, yet i cant find a York tour date anywhere, neither have i seen the gig promoted in York. It seems theyre playing every other town in the world, so what happened to the York gig?! was it just rumoured or did they cancel it or has it already happened?

We played York on last Saturday November 17th at CERT 18 club. It was virtually sold out. Sorry you missed it. Rotherham would probably be the next closest to you on December 1st
