  1. I'm in Porto alegre. Too many people in line already for the premium sector. Basically impossible for me to get front row so I decided to hang around the city and I'll stay more on the back, away from the stage. If... *IF* the internet connection is ok I might make a stream here and there on my Instagram. So if you wanna check it out my handle is @therafaeltavares

Wasn't that the early VR material that Weiland rejected for sounding like Bad Company?

This is the first I'm reading about them doing something that sounded like bad company. Damn, I REALLY wanna listen to these stuff now... Bad Co RULES!!!!

Slash jamming to wishing well with them is still one of my favorite performances of him! (I know that song is from Free, but you got what I mean)

That's adorable, raising a 4 year old Gunner(Guns N Roses Fan, not an Actual Gun Shooter). ☺️😀

His father and I are best friends. He's more of a brother to me than my own brother. And we met because of gnr. That's why I say this isn't just about "a band", I've met some wonderful people because of gnr that will be forever in my life. The kiddo LOVES the band, he mimicks axl's moves on the videos from YouTube, absurd was a choice of his own, no influence from me or his dad! 😂

He has recently just added "it's so easy" to the setlist of songs he likes to perform in the living room, but he only does it with the Paris 92 version. I asked him why this version and not billions of others that you can find online and his exact words were "because this version is the best". PARIS 92. THE BOY IS ABOUT TO TURN 5! Think of a very, VERY proud godparent! 😂 😂

He wants his 5th birthday party to have guns n roses as the theme... That's how crazy he is for the band. Guess you can say we're raising the boy well! Hahaha

That doesn't mean they aren't on a time restraint.  Festival schedules are usually very tight, even with the headliners

Dude... We're talking about Brazil. Rules don't apply here. 😂

I REALLY doubt they're on a time restriction.

So far, compared to the last show…no reckless life, and attitude in place of i wanna be your dog.

I mean I hate that this is in the set list but he sounds good on it.

Same set as manaus, except for Attitude and Wichita.

    Not complaining, though.

But I gotta say I'm very impressed by what they are bringing. The band is sounding VERY TIGHT and Axl is having some great moments giving what I was expecting of him.

Still it doesn't give any feelings of regret for selling my ticket for the festival. But if they play the seeker I'm changing my mind. (No kidding, I REALLY like that song! 😂)

  6. Just watched Iron Maiden's gig at rock in Rio. Had tickets for it, but I just couldn't bother going through all the pain in the ass that is attending a festival like that, so I watched it on tv instead.

I had a lot of fun. Bruce still has it, the band as a whole is still very tight, the setlist is the same as any other shows on this tour but it's something clearly thought through to work and deliver. I'm sure that had I gone to the festival I would have had fun either way.

Next week gnr is playing the same festival and I also have tickets. But the differences are mind-blowing if I start to think about. Different than Bruce, Axl doesn't have it anymore. Different than the members of Iron Maiden, gnr isn't a tight band anymore. The setlist is basically the same as well but definitely not thought through to work and deliver - it gets very tiring at some point. I'm sure that if I go I'm gonna have fun riding on the nostalgia thing of hearing those songs. But from what the band has been bringing to the table I honestly don't see why putting up with all the pain in the ass of the festival if I can watch it on my TV. And if it starts to suck VERY HARD I can just change channels, play videogames or whatever...

It's sad when you look at your all time favorite band and going to see them live isn't a no thinker anymore.

  7. Here are some unpopular opinions:

1: robin finck should have never left the band, they sounded a lot better with him.

2: sweet child is overrated (I'm not saying it sucks, it's just overrated). I wouldn't put it on my afd top5, let alone considering the whole catalog

3: the 2014 tour was really fun

4: I don't think the band as it is right now is capable of doing a true, good sounding record, relevant in any level. All I can imagine them coming up with by themselves is a bunch of cliche sounding songs

    And finally:

I think @Voodoochildwould be an amazing addition to the band, since he can play the gnr songs better than slash can do it nowadays. ♥️
