Izzy fucked them by leaving in the 90s. They still view that as a serious betrayal (also bouncing on Velvet Revolver) and don't trust him.

A+S+D are generating hundreds of millions touring. There's global interest. Even without a substantial media appearance. They don't need anybody to sell their shit. I think they'll self-finance an album and release it on their own. It'll have specialty packaging, so it's something people will want to buy.
-
Fall to Pieces will never happen. Slither is a possibility, but if they don't play it on their 2nd tour of the US, I doubt we'll ever hear it.
-
All they have to do is add My Michelle, Yesterdays, Perfect Crime, and Slither!!!!!
-
Axl doesn't sound terrible, but he's obviously unprepared. Shape up, ginger!
And change the fucking set list!- 2

My Michelle, Out Ta Get Me, Perfect Crime, Yesterdays, and Slither should be played at every show. Drop Chinese Democracy, This I Love, and The Seeker.

The Rolling Stones have over 2.5 million albums.
Guns N' Roses have sold over 100 million albums.
The Rolling Stones have released 30 studio albums, 18 live albums and countless greatest hits. In addition, their catalog has been re-released numerous times.
Guns N' Roses released six albums, one live album and one GH.
Because The Stones have released so much more material and have a 25 year head start, it's kind of hard to compare the two.
A few points:
The Rolling Stones have over 20 million facebook likes.
Guns N' Roses have over 30.5 million facebook likes.
GN'R, like AC/DC and Sabbath are hip with youth culture. You always see kids with a GN'R shirt and are familiar with songs like WTTJ, SCOM and NR. If you asked any random kid to name three Stones songs, how many could?
As a personal preference, I would absolutely take GN'R over the Stones. I like RS, but they honestly never did a whole lot for me.
The Rolling Stones have sold 250 million albums.

I wish they were going to do an arena tour with only the original five. I don't want to celebrate 30 years of Appetite with Richard, Frank and Melissa

Fuck off. You can't just say I'm making up facts when you've provided NOTHING but hyperbole. Here are my sources:
Axl Rose sued over soured deal for Warhol print
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/axl-rose-sued-over-soured-deal-for-warhol-print/article4111080/
But after agreeing to buy the portrait, the Guns N' Roses front man paid only $1.21-million, according to the suit. Rose's manager and lawyer told the broker that the rocker would not pay the remaining balance because he didn't have enough money and "the painting was not worth the price he had agreed to pay," the lawsuit stated.
Axl's Alienating Deal
http://www.eonline.com/news/49145/axl-s-alienating-deal
The famously reclusive rocker signed a multimillion-dollar publishing last week with the Sanctuary Group--much to the chagrin of former Guns N' Roses bandmates not in on the deal. Valued at nearly $20 million, the deal with Sanctuary spans GNR's entire back catalog, including such megahits as "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle."
Reclusive rocker breaks his silence

Every so often, there would be rumours of a release date, but in 2004 his record label finally lost patience. 'Having exceeded all budgeted and approved recording costs by millions of dollars,' the label announced in February 2004, 'it is Mr Rose's obligation to fund and complete the album, not Geffen's.'- 10

The guy had the gnr bigger % of royaltie earnings from music and official merchandise, plus CD platinium sales, his early and late 90's investments, a lot of new (wrong) gnr touring ( charging a lot more per show than velvet and 5 times the smkc fee per show), that guitar hero setlement, rock band deal, those millions from récord company to release the CD, .. All of that without pain in the a. Wife, without children, no drugs or rehabs,
Not true. Axl spent millions on the Seymour/Everly cases. He relinquished his GNR licensing rights to Sanctuary Music Group for $20 million ($1 million per year for 20 years). Slash and Duff sued him over that deal. He bought an expensive painting (I think it was by Warhol), but reneged on payment. He was forced to tour in 2002 because Interscope stopped funding him and he had no money.
The three of them are doing extremely well now, though.- 6

During the feud, they were all making over a hundred thousand a year on royalties. Back in 2005, Slash and Duff sued Axl because a $92,000 check for the first three months of '05 went "missing."

He'll always be the villain and justifiably so. The whole Chinese Democracy saga is really weird. It'll be the sad part in the GNR movie just before everything starts to get better again!
His performances have been wonderful, though. He's still the best when he actually tries. -
Axl is basically a 70s style rock singer from the 80s. He sounds so much better doing ACDC and original GNR than the industrial prog shit.
-
I always thought Axl hired him as a goof.
-
I can't believe this actually happened. Holy cow.

Slither is the modern Jungle.
Not a single good riff on Chinese.- 5
-
It looks like so much fun but I'd be so focused on trying to not get killed that it would ruin the show.
-
So many people dispute it as a real GNR album, though. You can talk technicalities but it's not fair to ignore that part of its history. To a lot of people Chinese Democracy is The Phantom Menace.
I thought for sure they would have played Slither by now. -
It's a perfect stadium rock song and the uptempo version they did back in the day was so cool.

I love this old school rock star shit!!!

They should do this live!!

Izzy is wonderful. Having said that, if I were in their position, I'd probably say fuck him as well. It's a business thing. Sorry.

Slash drew a lot of the original artwork and still owns it.

Eminem & GN'R
in THE JUNGLE

Eminem was the biggest selling artist at the time and felt he should be the closing performer at the 2002 VMAs. MTV gave that slot to Axl and NuGNR. They bombed. Eminem mocked their performance some time later when he performed "My Band" with D12.
