I think almost anybody would still pay to see Axl and Angus.

I think we're back to the old GNR in the sense that Axl is once again sharing control with Slash and Duff. That puts him at a disadvantage in a sense, because if GNR falls apart over disagreements, Slash and Duff can carry on with their solo careers. Nobody will pay to see Axl's version of the band again. If Slash leaves, it's over. The AC/DC thing feels like an insurance policy on his part. He's got something on the side to fall back on, and it's probably a lot of fun.

No it isn't as realistic. It's something you've made up. We know why Axl joined AC/DC and Axl doesn't share control with anyone. Not really. Everything I've suggested is at least much more likely compared to what you've just said.
Okay, stupid.

He called him a cancer just a few years ago, he still likes Elton John ballads, still owns the name and not much has changed when it comes to how Axl is doing things. Somehow I don't think This I Love is something Slash will do if it wasn't Axl's song, in his own band.
Crawling back cause much of what Slash and Duff had a problem with is just the way Axl operates and that hasn't changed. Late start times was not Slash's only problem with Axl according to Slash himself. Just because 23 years have passed doesn't make it any less submissive in my stupid opinion.
Yeah, but it's all presumption. I could argue Axl joined ACDC as an insurance policy because he's now sharing control of GNR with Slash and Duff and knows that if they leave again, he'll never have the credibility with fans or promoters to continue as Guns N' Roses. That's as realistic as anything you're suggesting, stupid.

I might consider it "crawling back" after 23 days, or 23 weeks, or even 23 months, but 23 YEARS? I mean, say that out loud. "Slash came crawling back to Axl after 23 years."

What the fuck is this "working hard?" There's an underlying criticism there and it's cheap. History shows us that Axl's idea of "working hard" isn't about releasing music. It's about withstanding criticism for not releasing music. How in the fuck has Slash not worked hard?

He still is if that's the only way you want to see him.
You should be a motivational speaker. I'm going to send you all my sad friends.
Axl is self-evolved, guys. Thank goodness Slash FINALLY decided to work hard. -

There was no cynicism except for those who wanted to see it.
You're right. Axl isn't an insecure mess.
-
Then how do you two qualify the cynicism of his answers?

On some level, it bothers him that GNR is getting much more attention and playing to bigger audiences because of Slash's return. The band suddenly became cool again. Lenny Kravitz wants to open! That has to eat away at a guy as insecure as Axl.

For all his talent and charisma, he is still such a silly person.

I'm convinced Izzy and Adler are deliberately being held back. Axl n' Slash sells this world tour. The full Appetite reunion sells the next.

Slash is wearing an old school top hat.

They've come back to save us.

I don't know if Axl lacks motivation. Creative people always have to create. It's in their DNA. It can be emotionally exhausting though because it often consumes them and bleeds into other aspects of their life. That's why so many creatives are nuts.

Everyone is so fucking sensitive these days it's almost forcing me to applaud misogyny.

Of course they've reconciled. They're not talking publicly because they blame the media for breaking the band up.

It shouldn't be this difficult to get five people together to play a couple of songs.

They're rumored to be getting $14 million for these gigs. Even if you cut that in half, it's a staggering amount. Gotta figure (hope) the Coachella people want the stream for that kind of money.

We all want to hear Axl sing Fall to Pieces.
