  1. 'You might call this a reunion show because I've managed to find enough pieces of my mind to be with you here tonight.'

    Loved that one.

    'OK NEVERMIND'

Always wish that was part of the song.

Were playing songs were thinking of Not putting on the next record...Leeds 2006(?)

....and 12 of the songs on CD had been leaked or played in concert since 2001

    Well I wouldnt say soon....MVA's

"I really really love Slash and his playing and i love workING with him again- hes even willing to do more Stephanie Seymour ballads with me. I called up all the fellas including Steven Adler and apologized for becoming a tyrant and they all forgave me for that difficult time in my life....you know we were all strung out on something and we dont remember anything after 1990 anyways. We all got together at my house and realized that even the old stuff really does sound better with all us originals playing it..I hope you fans of NuGNr understand and will learn to live with it. I came to a point in my life where I just couldnt continue to live a lie and dupe you people anymore ..and it wasnt fair to the new band that I just never felt motivated to write and record with them...so I had Beta terminate their contracts...and then I terminated Beta... this is a new song called...."Back in the Day" Axl , Madison Sq Gardens 2020

    LOL. Fans of NuGNR?

"I think we have a decision to fucking make here... I'm supposed to do my job, you're supposed to fucking do yours, Tommy's supposed to do his and whoever the else the fuck is supposed to theirs including the stupid idiot who keeps blocking the run way over here has to do their! Or I don't need to be here! Is that fucking simple! I've been fucked about five or six times over here and I'm sick of it. I mean, it wouldn't take fucking rocket scientist for someone to come and hook up my mic back, but you couldn't do that. Why not?"

    Why Not... Take a quaalude?

Or something like that right? haha.

  2. I think this is a legitimate question. With all the bullshit that goes on, the constant 'failure to communicate' the redundant tours, the lack of effort on new material and keeping fans in the loop. How many people here have ever just thought. FUCK THIS BAND.

    Just being honest.

What would a "fuck this band" mean? I am not going to stop enjoying the music just because the band is dysfunctional. Nor am I going to find the band less fascinating.

What does it mean? I guess you get excited about a band, you wanna show your friends. You think, those guys are really creating something artistic together and pushing boundaries. I remember back when Oh My God came out, I literally took it around my high school on a discman and tried to spread the word, Axl is back. I've paid for lots of tickets for my friends to check out the new line up and show them, hey this may not be GNR as we know it, but it's pretty damn good.

Enjoy the music, yes I do. Hell even with the new guys, I love that Rock AM Ring Nightrain... or 2002 Era Blues and Maddy. It's just been a long fucking time since this group has done anything that you can HONESTLY deem fascinating.

Making up DJ Ashba Tweets and pointing out Axl's lesser qualities only goes so far.

lol you're just now asking this question?

Just now really thinking it's a topic that shouldn't get locked or moved to attitude because it is not an attack on the band. Just an honest reaction of what 'The Diehards' you know, a moron like me with thousands of posts because he was naive to really think that Axl honestly would attack the recreation of Guns N' Roses just as hard as he attacked the creation of Guns N' Roses in terms of making it to the top. I'm a fucking idiot. But he is no longer hungry because he is no longer broke. I honestly found this band more interesting when they seemed to have a gag order on them. Now they give interviews with vague answers that really clarify nothing.

  3. While we would all like to think / hope so... Like he did when Duff performed with him look at these examples.

London 02 performances with Izzy in front of a shitload of hi-def cameras (30 or 90?) for DVD Release we got Micky Mouse.

Vegas Performance in front of 3d Cameras for DVD Release we got Mickey.
Vegas Radio Broadcast - Terrible Performance.

OTHER RECENT LIVE PERFORMANCES With the World Watching. Last Rio, Bridgeschool... Even 2002 VMAS, and 2006 Jungle Scream at VMA's.

I just don't think Axl gives a shit anymore. Look at his effort to keep in shape (vocally) and his Sad But True.

    in 2009 or 2010 even I thiink he would have given a shit, even 2006 or 2007. But nowadays Axl rea;

  4. I don't really have much been with the prices themselves. In fact almost every time I've seen Guns I paid for my ticket and whoever I took because nobody wanted to see Guns N' Roses without the actual band.. but I convinced them to give it a chance. With the number of members in the band, the crew and all the gear / pyros I actually think the price is pretty justified. Plus they haven't exactly been doing themselves any favors by not really planning about a set tour, but rather having random shows here and there in smaller venues. Doesn't seem financially intelligent.

The beef I have is with the show itself. I can't justify the ticket prices with the show that they are putting on... because it's more or less the same fucking show over and over. 2009 to 2013.. except the performance has grown stale, boring and uneventful.

It seemed cool for a while, they added Estranged. And one of the reasons I went back in 2012 after 2011 was because they added Civil War... But The Seeker? Who goes to a GNR show to see that? At least it sounds better than Don't Let It Bring You Down. That vocal is just pure SHIT. Compare it to Sailing and you wouldn't even think it was the same singer. And not one but Two ACDC covers? WHY!? Rosie does sound good most of the time but I can't see why you'd add another.

The setlist is beyond ridiculous. I've been seeing Jungle / Easy / Brownstone open a show since 2002. That's a long fucking time. The solo spots have gotten better. Richard swapping out James Bond for Blacklight Jesus of Transylvania? is awesome. That dude needs more opportunities. Thanks to BBF we have Don't Cry. Thank God he finally dropped Panther, after having the entire band record it!! Way to go B. I'm very much glad to hear anything from his catalog... and no longer do I have to sit through Robin Finck wankering on the Guitar as I see thosands of people go 'WTF is this guy doing with the guitar.' Dizzy doesn't need a solo, and I miss the Asshole song.

Performance wise the band has gotten tighter except for one member. Axl is the weakest link even though he is boss. He needs to practice, quit drinking, do some jogging and get serious about his vocals. I'm sorry but he is worst than he was in 2001 / 2002. At least he had some breath control back then.

After he does that he should finish some damn music so he can play some new tracks in concert. Or if he wants to go on discrediting his employees as a legitimate band by having them cover other peoples material by not allowing them to write and record... break out some deeper cuts. We would love to hear something like TWAT or Coma but the dude would not be able to do it justice. Hell the guy can't even say 'welcome to the jungle' in one breath... it's sad.

So I'm not complaining about having to pay 150 for a concert... I'm complaining because it's an inferior concert compared to rock legend competition on so many levels. And it's not BBF's Fault or Richards Fault... it's one person's fault... Axl Rose. You've gotten Stale (Same Set list more or LESS for four years), No new music but redundant covers, Inferior vocals, Front Man Performance in CONSTANT Decline, Way too many solo spots. And not to mention, Axl is the only Member of Guns N' Roses performing.

I'd pay maybe 40 bucks to see the show this time around. If Axl suddenly morphed into the performer he was in 2010 and cut some solos or covers for a new track and a deeper cut I would gladly shell out 200 bucks to see it... But I don't think Axl could honestly take fan criticism and make adjustments, God I'd love to see him try. This is the guy that did say he liked to change the set up every night because coming out and playing AFD every night would be like jerking off and not fair for the fans. Ohhh how you've changed Axl... and in the old sad type of way you ginger.

  5. I used to want stuff that this line-up recorded that was the best representation of what they could write together. Either that or 'Down by the Ocean.' However having accepted how long it takes for Axl to finish a track start to finish... I'll take Anything. Even material from the Bucket / Finck era that was considered a step below Scraped / Riad.... Give me anything at this point.

  6. Most of the time the 02 voice sounded pretty much identical and sometimes worse than what he sounds like now. There are a few songs he did really well, but there are a few songs he does well now, too.

But he put on a hell of a performance. I disagree. I think the 2013 vocals sound worst than the 2002 vocals (clean wise.) Because he had a lot better control of his breathing back then. When he pushes the clean voice without enough air (which he often does because he is out of breath) it sounds really bad. Not to mention he seems to drink a lot more these days and that makes his voice sound even more frail.

  7. He admitted himself into rehab as a result of his drinking ... not drug use. Why you making shit up, bro?

I thought alcohol was a drug and that the term alcoholic is used to describe anybody that abuses the drug alcohol?

I don't think Adler's drinking is as bad as his heroin addiction was. I don't think he's ever robbed his band for a drink.

It's funny how about ten years ago Beta said that Axl was on a health kick and barely drank any alcohol anymore. He was looking pretty damn good back then, unlike now. I think most of his weight gain is from alcohol. I wouldn't say he's a full blown alcoholic, but he does seem to imbibe A Hell of a Lot.

  8. hell yeah! just found money to go! I won't go to quebec though. can't have it all! hope tickets won't sold out in 2 minutes!

    Montreal is in Quebec ;)

I know i live between quebec city and montreal ;)

    Where at?

If I'd had more time to plan, I would have drove up and hung with Monty! :shades:

This is so last minute. I honestly thinking about missing the show. With taxes and other fees that's 200$. That means that if I go with my wife, it's at least a 600$ show.

Now that's a lot of money. I saw that show about 8 times, not sure that I'm willing to invest more at this point.

    trois-rivières

You may have seen 'em 8 times... but the sets get shorter and the voice gets worst as the price goes up.
